The restaurant is cute and small and fits right into the neighborhood of other super cute small shops and restaurants. I came for breakfast and we didn't have to wait for a booth at 10:30 am on a Saturday, but it's not the busy season yet. The menu had a lot of yummy looking items but I got the egg sandwich. The egg was perfectly cooked and the bacon was great and they used good white American cheese. I also tried a blueberry pancake that was super thick and delicious. The orange juice was freshly squeezed too. Great breakfast, reasonable prices, and nice ambiance. The service was a little slow but not bad. read more

Today I visited Noah's for the third or fourth time. It is a cozy little place where the coziness works for the restaurant and bar but getting to the bathrooms (which were clean and nicely decorated) requires you to squeeze past people working next to the kitchen in a narrow hallway. The food on my visits has ranged from good (today - Asian Noodle Salad which was a little bland for my taste was made with Chinese noodles, a combination of lettuces, carrots, sliced almonds and a vinaigrette dressing) to BLT's with plenty of bacon and juicy tomatoes to exceptionally fresh home baked bread and desserts. Being a small, local restaurant, orders can get backed up and there can be a wait to get in but today was a Friday and at 3:00 PM we were able to sit right down. The service can be slow when the restaurant gets crowded but the people who work here have been very friendly on each of my visits. Today our server, Kerry, was attentive and showed she cared that we enjoyed our lunch (I was there with my aunt who stops at Noah's every time she passes the exit for Stonington and her friend. Both are both big fans of Noah's). One very minor point. I personally prefer it when servers do not bring the check with dessert. From a business standpoint it minimizes the chance your customers might order a second dessert and from a consumer's viewpoint, it gives the impression that once you are finished the priority is to turn over the table. We were driving up the coast on the scenic route and found ourselves hungry at an awkward meal time (4pm) in stonington. Noah's was the only place open so in we went. We opted to sit at the bar and service was pretty attentive and friendly. We each got the clam chowder - mine New England style and his Rhode Island style. Both were delicious. Happy hour was going on and with a beer I think our total was $13. We left happy. Would definitely recommend. read more

You need a reservation to get into this place, at least on the Saturday of the busiest part of the summer. Mainly we chose it because everything in Mystic was a mad-house due to the art festival. Upon entering the staff seemed to be in a scramble and were not the friendliest, but that all ended with Andrew, who was our server that night. He was extremely attentive, refilling our water glasses as soon as they emptied and made helpful suggestions regarding the menu. For how busy it was our food came out in a timely manner and the food wasn't bad. My boyfriend got the pork chop which he said was well-cooked and spicy, but the green beans and mashed potatoes fell short of flavor altogether. I got a pasta special: linguini w plum tomatoes and olive oil. It was good, but the portion was quite small for a $12 pasta plate. For dessert we had the brownie sundae (they were out of all crisps), which was alright, but you could tell the icecream was homemade, which is a plus. Over all the food was OK, but the service we got was excellent especially considering how busy it was. Perhaps their brunch is better? I would go back to find out. read more

Ok, I like Noah's. I would have given it a 3.5 star rating but the folks are really nice here. I've been here for breakfast a couple of times and for Sunday brunch once, Breakfast was great. The first time I grabbed a couple of take out breakfast sandwiches, only one to chose from, bacon, egg and cheese on an English Muffin, limited but surprisingly good. The second visit, MK had a fabulous omelet special and I had eggs and choriso. Mine was fine. The Brunch to me was a disaster. An hour long wait for steak and eggs that weren't worth writing home about, good eggs... skinny steak... why won't places learn that if your not going to go thick go to a skirt steak. I'll be back to sample other meals and I'm anticipating better. read more

HOLY BLUEBERRY PANCAKES!! Do not ask questions, do not second guess this advice: GET THE BLUEBERRY pancakes!! Our server was a delight, and the chef came out and chatted with us, hand-delivered some of the food, and he could not have been funnier. When I told him I was sugared out from the blueberry pancakes because I OD-ed on them...he brought me some random bacon strips to salty me right back up. HAHA!! So funny and sweet! Part of the movie "Hope Springs" with Meryl Streep and Tommy Lee Jones was filmed here, and you can tell why once you're in. It's adorable and the food is fab! Stayed in Stonington for a wedding. This was the first place we tried for breakfast. First time was excellent. Friendly, fast service, and delicious food. We ordered the French toast (amazing), blueberry pancake (amazing), and noahs healthy breakfast (it was good, but it was oatmeal, eggs, and fruit, hard to mess up). We also ordered the side of chourico sausage, just to try, and it was good. The second time we went with family. Six of us, and place was packed. It was fourth of July weekend and a saturday. We still didn't have to wait too long, however, it took what seemed like forever for the food to come out. I would knock a star off, but in retrospect, when an entire restaraunt is full including the bar, I should have expected that. I ordered the scrambled which was amazing. It was scrambled eggs with linguica sausage and some veggies. It was flavorful, delicious, and definitely worth trying if you go there and the special is available. Just a bit of history if you're clueless like me, stonington was a Portuguese fishing village, so when you eat at Noahs, they incorporate some.portuguesse in their foods like the chourico and linguica. Note to owner though, I'm dying for the Portuguese eggs! Looks like I'll have to make it back up here at some point for that. read more

We decided to have dinner here as it was about the half way point between New Haven and Newport and were not disappointed. Very good place! We had oysters and although only 4/6 were detached, they were very fresh and delicious. My boyfriend had the yellowfin tuna which was yummy and I had the fresh fettucine with pesto which was totally delicious. I didn't know from the menu that you could add on chicken, shrimp, or scallops. I added scallops and it was only $6.25 more. Totally worth it! My boyfriend had the coconut almond tart for dessert which was actually a chocolate pie with hints of almond and coconut. So, they lost their fifth star for false advertising. I had the bourbon pecan bread pudding and thought it was very nice. I really liked this place because it was good food in a casual setting, and our tab was just over $60 by the end. A solid brunch in the area with really good pancakes. We arrived a party of 8 with reservations for 12:30 on a Sunday, and it was quite busy but eventually emptied out by 2. I think us being a large party at that time made our service slower than I would have expected. Regardless of the whether the bread is baked on site or not, it's not the best bread I've had. Decent, but not memorable. I had an order of the lobster benedict, which was decent but a bit oversauced with the hollandaise sauce. The best part of the meal was easily the blueberry pancakes. They are large, cheap, and delicious. The special peach walnut pancakes for the day were also decent, but the blueberry ones were much better. We went because it was the closest breakfast place and the first one on Yelp. I didnt even read the reviews prior to going in, matter of fact as I am writing this I still havent read them, I will do that after I am finished. I was with my parents and we opted to sit in the bar area (not at the bar). I had no idea that this restaurant was used in the film with Meryl Streep. It was interesting watching all of these people stare at this clip board wondering if they should put their names in, some did and some just waited for the hostess to come back. The food was good. I got the blueberry pancakes, my go too. They were fluffy and light and they offer real maple syrup with out an up charge. Nice small menu. My mom was looking for a baked muffin, but all the had was the "scone guy". He was walking around offering samples, he walked right by or table. The coffee was coffee, therefore should not be $2.25. Service was slow for a Thursday at 9, but the place was pretty busy. Food took a while to come out, even for our pancakes and English muffin. Was in town, probably would find some place different next time. But if we were in the mood for drinks might stop back. read more

I had an extremely bad experience with the hostess, I believe her name is Shannon. I arrived at the restaurant early for my 9;30 reservation. I approached Shannon as she was walking through the dining room, and told her i had a reservation, and asked to be seated. She responded by putting her hand directly in my face and saying, "I just got here.". I followed her to the front of the restaurant and she proceeded to argue with me about my reservation, telling me, "There is no reservation for you in the book". I had to ask her AGAIN to be seated. It took over 20 minutes just for me to get a table. I will absolutely NOT be back. read more

We stumbled across this place on vacation and are so glad we did! Fantastic food and familiar atmosphere. I've had both lunch and dinner here since and the food and service has been consistently exceptional. My only issue was with the facilities which are awkwardly located and would be difficult for any elderly or disabled person to access. Also the aesthetics were a little awkward as they had both local maritime and Parisian themes mashed together. These are minor complaints though. If you are within a hundred miles of this place it is very much worth a visit! read more

Seemed like a cute place, liked the decor, and had high expectations from these other reviews. Service was ok, although we were literally the only table it took 15 minutes for two well drinks. Ordered oysters for a quick app, they were frozen when they came out. Frozen and crunchy. My Mother ordered fettuccini (butter and cheese style) with the scallops. Scallops were amazing, thankfully, but the pasta came out lukewarm and with only butter... No cheese. We were 10 minutes into the meal before the server came to check. Thought it was weird we had to ask for something that was supposed to be included already with the dish. The burgers tasted awesome (we ordered the house, blue cheese and caramelized onion, and the messy burger) and the hash browned potatoes were delicious as well... Until an hour later and my whole family is feeling ill. Could be the dirty kitchen (that guests must walk through to access the restroom), but either way I wouldn't come back or recommend it to anyone looking for a good dining experience. read more

Aw man, guys, I wish I had one of the many great experiences you all have reported, but it just was not so. I went to Noah's on New Year's day, a Sunday. My date and I were repeatedly ignored by the hostess until we gently tracked her down to ask her what the procedure was for getting a table. We were seated very soon after in the sunny, charming main dining area. A few minutes letter our cheery server brought menus and coffee. Once we ordered, the food took about 25 minutes to get to us, and they were not crazy busy, and we ordered simple egg dishes. I had ordered the Brunch Baguette advertised as: Two Poached Eggs, Black Pepper Goat Cheese, Tomato & Arugula On Our House Made Baguette, Drizzled with Truffle Oil. I requested it sans goat cheese and it arrived smeared with goat cheese. After two different servers went to the kitchen to positively identify it was goat cheese, my wait began. My poor date sat as his food got cold and he eventually had to eat his meal without me. It took another 20 minutes to get my dish out, and it was definitely not worth the wait. Two poached eggs on a huge, un-toasted baguette, with two sad tomato slices, and zero seasoning on anything. There was no truffle oil at all, but oddly enough there was balsamic on the bed of arugula, which was the only flavor on the entire plate. It was awkward to eat with the huge baguette and two small poached eggs, and basically flavorless minus the balsamic. I have worked in several restaurants and no one should ever, ever wait that long for a kitchen's mistake. I have seen full dinner entrees prepared in shorter amounts of time when correcting an error. It is a shame that my date and I had to eat separately and awkwardly because of their blunder. Also, during this time, and after, no one came to apologize for the mistake, but rather our table was blatantly avoided so we could not ask about the wait time. I hope I took one for the team, and the rest of you continue to have these beautiful experiences on Yelp that drew us in to try Noah's, but we will most certainly not be back. read more

Stopped in for a late lunch and enjoyed a perfect meal. The grilled scallops were sweet and delicious and the asian inspired salad mix crisp. The baked scallop entree with rice and veggie fit a hungry appetite and a dinner sized portion for under $20. Friendly staff nice casual atmosphere and everything is prepared with attention. I have been coming here for over 30 years!! I have never had a bad experience on either the service or the food. The atmosphere is welcoming and makes you feel like a local. And yet you are treated to the absolute freshest selection of food prepared in the most elegant fashion. The menu consists mostly of nightly specials so that they can offer the freshest of items. I must say the some of my favorite meals have been from Noah's even though I live on the opposite side of Connecticut. In 30 years they have updated a bit but essentially retained the same charm as always - right down to the napkins made from the fabric store 2 doors down. I cannot recommend this highly enough and yet I hesitate to do so because I don't want Noah's to become so popular that I can't get in!! (I guess I'm kind of selfish). Noah's was once our 'go-to' (about 6 or 8 years ago), but we stopped going because it was stale and stodgy. We went back last night to see how it was going and were pleasantly surprised. The cocktails were good; the starter (we had the chicken liver pate) was okay. The menu was mostly specials with lots of seafood options; but beef, chicken and pasta entrees for the non-seafood set. The dessert was okay (my brownie was rather dry). Overall it was a good, solid meal but rather bland, nothing special. The food lacked any risk, or out-of-the-box thinking that are hallmarks of new American cuisine. Recommended? Yes. Innovative American cuisine worth going back for? No. read more

Noah's specializes in locally sourced food simply prepared at reasonable prices. Either they're slipping, or I have wised up because what used to seem like good simple fare at a reasonable price now seems kind of half assed & kinda expensive. Out on a Sunday afternoon. Went through Stonington, Noah's was recommended to us so we thought we would try it. Nice local spot. I had buffalo wings and a burger, wife a BLT. Everything was great. Buffalo wings were oven fried and tasted great. The wings came out plain with sauce on the side. I have never had wings that way before but I liked it. wife said BLT was tasty. The burger tasted great although I wish it were bigger. The menu does say 6oz burger and that's what it was, I would just like a bigger option. Bun was house made and you could taste it because it was excellent. We sat at the bar and service was fantastic , everyone seemed to be having a good day. Delicious. Came in with my parents while spending the day in the town and we all loved our brunch. Had a pumpkin pancake, baked eggs and omlet and all were delicious. Don't often get to Stonington but may have to come more often to stop in Noah's. Coffee was piping hot and very good too. We all raved about our lunch and I keep thinking about the pancake. I am so glad that I stopped into Noah's after a long day of shopping and sightseeing. As soon as we were seated, they served us a basket of fresh, warm bread and butter. The food was wholesome and delicious. I had a tasty Portuguese stew and my husband had a Reuben piled high with lean corned beef on house baked rye bread.
