I don't know how it started, but I only ever get the PAD THAI here, and it's always delicious! I don't even get pad thai at Thai restaurants lol if I'm craving some, I come here! They never skimp on meat or noodles and their quality is always consistent. I only order to-go though so I can't speak for a dine-in experience, but the food is always ready in under 10 minutes from when I call in my order. The location is very big and has lots of room. This is one of those locations where you order up front and they bring the food to the table. There is a large projector screen you can watch TV on. The menu quite a bit of options on it but nothing overwhelming. The drink selection is large and I loved that from Mexican coke to coconut juice. Lets start with the customer service: It was very friendly and inviting throughout the visit. My mom took forever to figure out what she wanted and I truly appreciate the patience. We ordered quite a few things we had the house garlic wings: I would HIGHLY recommend, Pad Thai: I would also HIGHLY recommend ordering. We then had some egg rolls also very good now we also ordered dumplings and they are not that good mostly they were cold and the crab puffs where just a bit to sweet for our liking. I'm a big fan of Nom Nom's pho. It's never disappointed. I usually order online and pick it up on the way home. Today, I stopped in for lunch with a co-worker. She ordered the Dragon Fried Rice .... with a $2.29 upgrade for soft drink & egg roll. She loved it ... and couldn't finish the order. I ordered the House Lo Mein. I wasn't a fan. The noodles were oily. I didn't get any unique flavor, beyond some heat provided by two jalapeno slices. The shrimp & chicken were fine; but again, the dish was just flat. No zip. Nothing to make it stand out. I'll certainly return to Nom Nom, but I'll skip the Lo Mein. Another observation. I ordered first (I knew what I wanted to try), my co-worker followed. Yet her order arrived a good 5 minutes before mine. But my real "knock" on the dine-in experience is the noise. With hard floors, hard walls and hard ceilings, sound really bounces around. I understand when there are lots of diners there will be noise, but honestly, fellow diners weren't the issue. The bus cart was the culprit. The fellow cleaning up tables just crashed his cart throughout the dining area giving no thought to the diners. Wheels thumping, dishes clashing, silver clanking ... glasses clinking ... generally not conducive to conversation. Maybe takeout is the better way to go. read more

Barely any meat, I called and they told me to drive back and they would give me more meat. I thought to myself, "I'll give them another try". Very impressed that the garlic wings somehow got better than I remembered considering they were already amazing. They totally met my request for all flats and there were 6 huge juicy flats with lots of cabbage and bean sprouts on the bottom of the plate. I also had an order of dragon fried rice which is a cute name for combo rice. Huge portion. Lots of yummy BBQ pork, shrimp, chicken bean sprouts and egg. I added soy sauce and chili oil for a kick and that really made it perfect. I observed that most tables were occupied when I walked. Food was constantly flying out the kitchen, tables were being cleaned and the cashier was greeting everyone that entered. Customer service was on point. I have been going to Nom Nom for years (I live right down the street) the food years ago was way better than it is today, however the food is still tasty. The place is big for indoor dining and its ALWAYS clean every time I go. Sometimes when I order for pickup the food is never the same quality as if I dine in. The peanut sauce is yummy, just ask for extra b/c the serving is really small imo. Their egg rolls are pretty good as well. They are so small in comparison but i like the crunch sometimes. The banh mi sandwiches are never disappointing! The bread is delectable and crunchy, just right! Pleasantly surprised. Pho had a strong beef broth flavor but lacked a bit of spice/unami. It's good never the less. The banh mi was a pleasant surprise and well worth the price. It's like 50% more meat and double the veggies than the typical Bellaire fair. I was skeptical because of the price, but it was worth it. The grilled pork is much better than the chicken. The special is pretty traditional. We asked for extra mayo/aioli and they really delivered (probably didn't as much, but nice to know they can really slab it on). not happy with them at all. I have been going there for over 10 years and I always tip when I pay for my food. Today I went in and ordered house lo mein when it arrived it was short on meat, never has happened before. when I asked a young server who has been there a long time about it he said he will go check. well he never came back so I asked the other gentleman working behind the cash register and he said he would check. then he told me that the cook said that's the normal amount of meat not giving you any more. really irritated me after I just tipped even though no one waits on you once you get your food you wait on yourself. so with that being said I will never go back crap way to treat loyal customers for over 10 years over a little bit of extra meat. I've been working in the energy corridor lately and this has been my favorite lunch spot! The first time I came here, I ordered the Ultimate Pho with Thai Tea. When my bowl of pho came to my table, it was giant and I wished I had ordered the lunch special which came with a normal sized bowl of pho and half a banh mi sandwich instead for around the same price.The pho and thai tea were good but nothing special. The second time I came here, I ordered the Pork Banh Mi with the House Garlic Wings. This was my favorite meal I have had here! The Pork Banh Mi has Tsa Sew, a flavorful barbecue pork which had just the right amount of fat. The House Garlic Wings were ah-ma-zing! They were fried Buffalo Wild Wings sized wings with roasted garlic on top. The third time I came here, I ordered the Pad Thai with House Garlic Wings. I'm not sure if it was because the restaurant was packed this day but the food was not as good. The Pad Thai was way too salty! The House Garlic Wings were larger but not as crispy and delicious as the first time I had them. Lately, I've been a huge fan of the fried rice here which is consistently delicious! I've started eating less meat and the Tofu Fried Rice was amazing! The Shrimp Fried Rice is good as well and the Dragon Fried Rice comes with all the meats.
