I love this Jamaican coffee spot. The staff is always nice. They have a backroom you can reserve for events. Its tucked away in the corner of the shopping center but definitely need more attention. If you can't make it to Jamaica, go get your coffee here. There is an area to sit and drink. Usually quiet here. read more

A group of guys hung out here for a meeting. The back space was large and setup with some interesting furniture. The staff was incredible. Sadly, I don't drink coffee so I didn't try their blue mountain coffee drinks but the others said it was great. I did have a nice "ting" soda though! read more

Such a nice, quiet café with plenty of seating and a really welcoming vibe. It's the perfect spot to get some work done without feeling rushed or crowded. The staff were attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming, which made the experience even better. I also loved that they had lots of books available for kids to read -- such a thoughtful touch for families. I ordered the Island Gold Latte, and it was absolutely delicious. I tried out Nomlas Cafe today for the first time and had a great experience! The iced mocha I ordered was delicious and the barista was friendly and inviting. The cafe is attached to a great open hangout space which featured tables, couches, and even an area for kids. I enjoyed the space for several hours and never felt rushed to leave. VERY sketchy parking lot, this is literally a hole in the wall. My caramel machiatto was made with a chilled espresso already made in the fridge. I had my doubts, but it was very tasty. The espresso itself is very roasted. We also got a lemonade and the woman working literally hand squeezed a fresh lemon and made it into lemonade. This is my third time visiting and the experience is always a treat, their interior is cute with tons of seating in the back where they encourage you to drop by and study in, the cafe portion is nice with everything out for you to see when it comes to them preparing your drinks. And their drinks are consistently amazing the coffee is really strong even when it's a bit watered down when you order it iced the flavor is unique and bold, their service is always kind and courteous! If I could give this place 10 stars I would. It's such a gem! You walk in, and it looks like a normal cute little coffee shop. It has authentic Jamaican coffee and FIRE pastries (def try the beef patty!). You go through the doorway though, and it opens up into this dope lounge area with couches, tables and chairs, a small stage, and relaxing music playing on a variety of serene wallpaper on the tv screen. I just ordered a dirty chai latte with whole milk. I was presently surprised by the barista's asking me whether I wanted it sweetened or not. This is definitely a first: usually, chai lattes are overly sweet. I asked for mine unsweetened, and it did not disappoint. There's a rich spiced flavor to the chai and the espresso blends in perfectly with the whole milk. Anyway, who knew that there's a coffee shop in the Sac area that serves Jamaican coffee?? Was very curious as I've never had Jamaican coffee and after trying an iced mocha here I'd say that Jamaican coffee has a deep roast-y taste (paired quite well with the chocolate syrup in the drink actually.....gave strong dark chocolate vibes). Little-to-no fruitiness. Decently strong (no jitters and kept me well awake throughout the day). I also got a Jamaican beef patty here. Nicely chewy and flaky crust. A little strange that the filling is on the mushy side (reminded me a lot of the texture of refried beans) but not a dealbreaker. Tasty filling. FYI there is distinct mild spiciness to it. Came here on a whim after wanting to try it for a while. As soon as you walk in you're greeted by sweet welcomes. I ended up trying a vanilla latte for a safe option, and it was really good! I never had Jamaican coffee before, but it was very delicious without feeling too heavy. The people here are very kind and sweet, the inside is very nice and clean as well. On a lazy Saturday morning, my husband, and I decided to come try Nomlas Cafe. Located near our neighborhood, we wanted to support a small local business. When we arrived, we were promptly and warmly greeted. The lady took the time to explain to us what makes Blue Mountain coffee so special and unique. We both decided to order an iced coffee. My wife and i wanted to grab some coffee for studying late night and came across Nomlas. It was only a few minutes away from sac state so why not. Walked it and was immediately greeted by a handshake. Never had anyone shake my hand and welcome me in and so that alone was already a big plus. Then came to order and an amazing Women (forgot her name but also do not want to butcher it) but she was so helpful and so kind. This coffee is 10/10. I've never had Jamaican coffee before and actually just stumbled across this on maps during my drive to Tahoe. Family owned business and the woman who made my coffee was so nice! Immediately after making it she asked "Is it okay, do you like it?" This is up there with a craft coffee place. Nomlas Cafe for the WIN!! It's so refreshing to have a coffee shop that I live locally to that's not a chain. I usually drive everyday into midtown for coffee just to come back to work off elder creek. I love to support small businesses. This shop has outstanding coffee and culture. I went one Saturday morning to run some errands and I have returned everyday since. This was my first time visiting this Jamaican coffee shop and wow, what an amazing experience! The coffee was absolutely delicious. I haven't stopped thinking about it since I had it last Saturday. The lady working there was super kind and welcoming. She took the time to explain a bit about the coffee shop and even offered us a cozy sitting area in the back.
