Noodle Revolution is a cool place to eat. It is located on the corner of Oak and Tower. Two parking spots to the right of the restaurant are allocated for customers. Otherwise you have to park on Oak street on the side opposite to ginger's and ritacco's. The menu has rice plates, noodle dishes, burgers and tacos. Then on the menu board they have specials. My favorite dish is the drunken rice pot. It's like a fried rice but with more exciting flavors. The spicy is very spicy- and we are heat seeking food fans. Hubby was sweating bullets. This time I ordered the Japanese Yakiudon. The meat wasn't very flavorful and quite tough to chew. But the noodles and veggies had great flavors. For lunch they give complimentary fried dumplings or spring rolls if you order a rice or noodle dish. But they are very tiny. The spring rolls are a bit smaller than a wine cork. Thai tea is served in a 17oz bottle and enough to share for 3 people. The food is served in very modern looking dishes. Water is in a carafe placed on your table. The kitchen is open and they have counter seating as well as about 7 tables. The pricing is quite high. About $13 per dish. And portions are on the small side. There's usually nothing to take home. Service is 4 or 5 stars. We only stop in here every 6 months or so when we want to change up our eating out routine. But nothing here stands out as exceptional and make me crave the food. read more

On nights when my fiancé and I don't know what to cook for dinner, noodle revolution is always the answer. They are fast and reliable with a consistently good meal with good sized portions. The spicy Pad Thai with tofu and shrimp is my go to meal. Would be 5/5 but the prices are a little higher then you would expect to pay for noodles - however you can't beat the quality. Great hidden gem! Out of the way local place friendly service and great food. We had the Drunken Noodles w/beef, Thai Basil Beef and to finish it off the Fried Ice Cream (green tea) w/ fresh berries delicious. Visited Noodle Revolution with my family of four for the first time recently. This is a small, eclectic space. There were a few logistical issues (waiting for seating, being out of specific items) but staff were very pleasant and accommodating in light of them. All of that was erased when we tasted the food. Being lovers of Asian food from NY, we rank this restaurant at the top of the list for taste and authenticity. They add their own twists which keeps the dishes Interesting and everything was very fresh. The pride they take in the quality of the dishes served is apparent. We loved everything we had and craving it again today: Chicken dumplings, spring rolls, Thai iced tea, pork belly bao buns, Tom yum, shrimp wontons, Thai basil chicken over rice. It was also very crowded for 8 pm on a Monday which is always a good sign when trying a new place. We LOVED Noodle Revolution! read more

We were in Westerly, having visited Grey Sail Brewing, and we were looking for a place to have a bite to eat afterwards. I consulted Yelp for help, and we were directed to this place. Another example of awesome Yelp help! This place is great! It's inside what looks like an old house on the corner, with a tiny but friendly place. They seem to have a rotating menu, everything is posted on chalk boards above the kitchen. We were pretty hungry, so we ordered panfried dumplings, green curry shrimp, and beef chow fun. The panfried dumplings were great, with a nice springy wrapper and tasty filling, with a nice dipping sauce. The green curry shrimp was H O T. I'm talking delicious painful fire hot, the kind of heat that makes me drink flower pots of water, with tears running down my face. It was more flavorful than just pain, though. There were a lot of tasty veggies and a great quantity of shrimp as well. Lee had the beef chow fun, and he really enjoyed that as well. I had a taste and it was nice and savory. I needed a bit to cool off after the dinner, so I ordered their unique dessert -- an ice cream sandwich. It was served on a sweet roll, with coconut ice cream, rice pudding, and sweet jelly cubes. to preface- me and my girlfriend both haven't eaten meat in several years and specifically ordered vegan items off the menu. we saw this place online and decided to try it because it had pretty good reviews and veg-options on the menu. Upon driving up to the restaurant we realized there's no designated parking so we had to park down the street and walk, whatever. (This place is NOT wheelchair-accessible fyi, theres only stairs and the inside of the restaurant is very compact, so if you are looking for an accessible place to eat, do not go here.) Anyways, we seat ourselves, the waiter with longer blonde hair tells us about the menu, and we order the veggie dumplings and drunken noodles with tofu. A person seated near us is also complaining about his own food and has it remade, so that was great to hear. We waited for probably 30ish minutes while other tables that arrived after us were already being served, and out waiter comes up and says there was a mistake in the kitchen but our food will be right out. We get the dumplings first, and the noodle dishes come right after. We both started eating and realized that the dumplings were way different than a typical veggie dumpling, and realized it was because they were likely chicken. My girlfriend took them up to the front and our waiter insisted they were "tofu based dumplings" even though the menu stated it was vegetable, and it did not look anything like tofu, and trust me i know what tofu/soy proteins look like. We even asked the table next to us if they thought it looked like meat and they both said yes, it did. After we finish we go up to pay and tell him again that we weren't happy with the dumplings and didn't eat them, but since there was no manager available he couldn't refund us for them. We continue to talk to him and he fully ignores us and turns to pick up a call on the phone. I would not recommend this place, nothing about it was comfortable or welcoming, not to mention it was freezing cold inside and the menus were just stapled paper. Definitely don't go if you are vegan or vegetarian, theres a lot better places in the area seeing as the noodle dish was just okay. In conclusion I left feeling sick and pissed off because of the horrible service read more

I found a treasure today when I picked this restaurant. My husband had the drunken noodles, and that dish, which was served in a wok, was bursting with flavor, and the whole dish was freshly made to order. I tasted my husband's portion, and I can honestly say that the drunken noodles were the best of Thai food that I've had in about thirty years, and that restaurant was in Manhattan. I ordered the Tom Yum soup which was served in the biggest soup bowl I have ever seen, and it too was bursting with flavor. The bowl contained extra large shrimp, mushrooms, glass noodles, bean sprouts, chili garlic oil, and cilantro. It was spicy, but not overpowering. I'm going back again soon because I want to try the Grandma's Cambodian spring rolls, and order my own portion of drunken noodles. Customers at a nearby table ordered the seafood rice in pineapple, and what a presentation that dish was! It was served in half of a pineapple, and the shrimp , calamari, crab meat, sweet sausage, eggs, raisins and cashews were stuffed in the pineapple. The dish looked absolutely beautiful. The lunch menu looks pretty good. It looks like smaller portions priced at $10, and lunch comes with a choice of veggie dumplings or spring rolls. I have found that many Thai restaurants are simply mediocre at best. This restaurant, however, is the real deal when it comes to Thai cuisine. I'm very happy that I found it. read more

Ok so we were new to town and wanted to try this spot out because it seemed like the ingredients were quality. Because of Covid we only did take out. I got Pad Thai and my partner got Drunken Noodle. For almost $40 for two "large" portions - we were still hungry after our meals. Maybe the ingredients are good but this is price gauging and the noodles aren't worth it. I went with my kids (15 and 14) and everything we had was amazing. Walking up to the place, you could smell it and it was so savory. Smelled so good. I wish I remembered all the names of the dishes, but I think one was was a minced steak basil rice bowl that was amazing, along with a noodle bowl with the drunken sauce and one with the black sweet soy sauce. All three of our dishes were perfect, and every bite was eaten. We all want to come back tomorrow already lol. And the server was very attentive and helpful in helping us choose. The noodles in our soup tasted exactly like cheap, store-bought ramen noodles. Not befitting of a place called 'Noodle Revolution'. Most Asian 'noodle' places use cheap, commercial-grade noodles. To our taste buds, these tasted no different. The soups were fine, the shrimp wonton were very good, let down only by the pedestrian noodles. The pineapple fried rice dish was more successful. It was served in a hollowed out half pineapple. Loaded with peppers, shrimp, cashew nuts, and (big surprise) pineapple, it was very good and not oily. Hot peppers on the side lets you adjust the spiciness to your liking. The biggest disappointment were the 'Cambodian spring rolls'. We sure think we've had them before - from the frozen food section of Trader Joe's. Small, greasy, fried, totally unremarkable. Overall, we think perfectly good pan-Asian offerings, just maybe not worthy of a 'Noodle Revolution'. read more

People with food allergies or dietary restrictions please please please be careful eating at Noodle Revolution. I dined here tonight with my partner and ordered the vegetable dumplings and some wok-fried noodles. After waiting over a half hour for our appetizer, which we didn't mind because we were just excited to try this place, our server came to the table and apologized because there was a "mixup" in the kitchen and our dumplings and entrees would be right out. I ate half of a dumpling and realized that it was not a veggie dumpling but likely some kind of minced meat. The texture was chewy and it was pale pink in color (photo attached). Upon realizing that my vegan partner and I had just eaten meat, I immediately got up and informed my server. Instead of apologizing for the mixup or trying to make things right, the server simply told me it was tofu. I sat back down and the server came over to my table and again told my partner and I again that it was just tofu. I still was unsure since tofu is a stark white color, even when cooked, so we asked the table next to ours if they were familiar with meat-based dumplings (since we aren't) and asked them to look at them and tell us if it looked like meat or not. The couple agreed that it looked like meat. Like I said before, I have not eaten meat in over a decade, my partner and I are both vegan, so if meat accidentally ends up in a dish it usually comes with a tell-tale stomach ache. We both had nasty stomach aches after eating these dumplings. When we went to pay for the meal we were given the total and I asked our server if the dumplings were included. When he said yes I told him that we didn't eat them and we both had a stomach ache. He was adamant that the dumplings were tofu or soy protein and was nodding along as I replied but clearly not listening. Regardless, we didn't eat them and we didn't want them after all the hassle. Give me attitude all you want but don't insult my intelligence by repeatedly telling me this is vegan. When we asked to have it taken off the bill he told us that nobody on shift had the manager credentials to override the bill in the register system so he had to call her. She didn't pick up the phone so we were informed our only options were to wait for her to call back or just pay the bill. We felt sick and frustrated so we just agreed to just pay the bill as-is but tried reiterating to our server that potentially serving someone meat could be a serious health risk if there's an allergy or a religious reason. He fully ignored us, turned away, picked up the store phone, immediately put it back on the receiver, and walked away into the kitchen. It was obvious he was so over it. As someone who has spent the last 10+ years eating meat substitutes I've become very familiar with the array of tastes, colors, and textures that plant based proteins can come in. Whatever was in the dumpling was unfamiliar to me and upset our stomachs. Mixing up what kind of dumpling is going out to what table would be an easy mistake because the meat dumplings look exactly the same as the veggie dumplings. Even if it was a plant based protein, these were on the menu as "vegetable dumplings" but as you can see in the photo theres hardly anything more than scallions and maybe cabbage inside, there nothing on the menu that mentioned them having any other protein inside. We explained to our server that we had shown the dumplings to the table next to us and they agreed it looked like meat and his first question was, "Which table did you ask?" I'm sorry...What?! Why does it matter what table we asked? I can only hope they didn't receive lesser service because of us. I recognize that severs and kitchen staff are only human, accidents can and will happen. But the server's attitude towards this whole situation was absolutely unbelievable. It takes a lot for me to complain about a meal, let alone leave a negative review. I'm mad at myself for not catching the server's name, but he's the one with dirty blonde hair kept in a bun. I'm shocked that there was nobody on staff in a position higher than server, this situation could have been resolved a lot easier if the owner or manager or just someone with register permissions to override the bill was working. It seems irresponsible to put the servers in such a difficult position when things like this come up. All of that aside - the noodles were alright. The sauce they were in was very flavorful but they were swimming in a pool of oil at the bottom. We both ordered them with tofu and were disappointed it only came with two pieces each. It was also freezing cold in the restaurant so the food got cold really quickly. My partner and I had never been here but we had heard good things so we were so excited to try. One of my favorite restaurants in south western RI. There are about 6-7 indoor tables and seating outside. The Thai Basil Beef over rice is a must have. Many dishes offer the option of mild, medium, and hot. Hot is pretty darn hot. The specials are always great and incorporate local flare into the dishes, like lobster pad thai for example. They have some desserts and homemade teas that are also wonderful. read more

Avoid this place if you have a soy protein allergy. I visited last night with my husband. Because of my allergy, I tend to avoid Asian restaurants, but he really wanted to go and I figured if I was clear with the staff, I could find something I could eat. I immediately asked what was on the menu that I could eat if I can't have soy sauce, tofu or edamame. We agreed that a burger was the best choice and I asked that the cooking pans and utensils be cleaned before cooking my food. My husband ordered Pad Thai and asked for it without the tofu and we joked with the server that otherwise he can't kiss me. Then the server came back and said that the dish could be made soy free as the sauce doesn't include soy and asked if we were interested in splitting as it's a generous portion. Of course we agreed - always nice to be accommodated. Well, the dish comes out and sure enough it's full of chopped tofu. Thankfully I spotted it before I ate any. I pointed it out to the server and asked for a burger. Burger was terribly cooked - burnt on the outside. And here's the kicker - based on how my feet and other parts of my body are swollen today, even though I took Benadryl last night - it appears it was cooked in a pan that had not been thoroughly cleaned from cooking soy-based meals. We won't be back, but I implore the staff of this restaurant to listen to your patrons and take them seriously. I know there are some folks who are just picky or get a bit sick to their stomachs after eating certain food items, but there are some of us with true allergies that can be life threatening and just want to be able to eat safely alongside friends and family. read more

Absolutely delicious! Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday and every single thing we had was amazing. We started with the Cambodian Grandma veggie spring rolls and the Taiwanese crispy pork belly bar and both were 5 star amazing. For the mains, we had the Thai basil chicken over sticky rice and Tom Kha soup with glass noodles and extra scallops. The soup was chock full of fresh jumbo shrimp and the scallops were beautiful and plump. The spice level was perfect though I think you can request less or more spice to your liking... we also splurged on a dessert of fried bananas and honey with berries and vanilla ice cream. Soooooo delicious. I cannot wait to come back. Lots of options for everyone, and I want to try everything on the menu, including all of yhe specials. Parking is on the street but easy to find. The food was incredible - the Thai basil beef and rice was flavorful with a bit of delicious funk to it. The drunken noodles were smokey and perfectly cooked. Potstickers were delicate with a great dipping sauce. The Taiwanese bao special had well flavored pork and excellent texture (the bun could have been a little softer). This place is amazing! Caught word of this place from a chef friend of mine and went last night for the first time with four friends. When we walked in, we had to sit at the counter because every table was taken, it worked out though because it sat four. Its the old Oak St B & B location. Through conversation with our waiter, a young man, we found out his mother was the chef there and was previous owner/chef at Rice Spice Noodles in Mystic, CT and since changed ownership and now have opened Noodle Revolution. This place is so new they didn't have anything on their all white walls yet and the owner told us that she didn't expect to be so busy so soon and hadn't had time to put any artwork up yet. The menu had many different options on it, I saw a taco and a burger and a number of other Thai based things on a menu that must have been 5 pages. To start, we shared two orders of fried chicken and cilantro dumpling. They were kind of on the smaller side but very good. We ordered two bottles of homemade Chai Tea which came with milk and 4 mugs with ice. Im sure some kind of alcohol will be available soon. For my main course I went with Drunken Rice Pot with Stonington Scallops, the rice pot was like the flavor of drunken noodles but rice instead, it had some peppers and Japanese broccoli, good hot but not overpowering spice and about 5-6 scallops in the mix.
