I decided to check this place out because the Chick-Fil-A next door was closed. I ordered 2 chicken hibachis and I specifically wanted one to have white rice and the other brown rice. They already forgot that as shown in the photo. My personal complaint about this place is the fact that they made the beverage menus very complicated. I asked for Coke Zero and they said they only had Pepsi in bottles. Some other drinks were offered only in cans and some only in diets. That is why I removed two stars. Other than that I think this place is decent.

Pic of second time I got the teriyaki chicken with barely any sauce by them. Look at the dry noodle

They used to be good. Lately, it has been subpar and super SUPER SUPER SUPERFRRR stingy on their teriyaki sauce. I ordered teriyaki chicken bento and not a single drop of teriyaki sauce on it. I even ask if they include some on the side for me, twice. The second time I ask, they say they are going to charge if I want extra??? I went home and no teriyaki sauce on the food or on the side. Nada, took me over a week to force myself to eat the bland noodle and chicken because my kid would not have touch the disgusting tasting food. I avoided it afterwards for months. Then this week, I went back, thinking it's been some time, maybe the last time was just a mistake? Gave them another chance. Order a more simpler dish-teriyaki chicken. Again, ask for sauce on food and on side. What I got? A small, tiny container with teriyaki sauce, none on the food. Had bare enough for a few chicken. That was it. After wasted over $20 on teriyaki food without teriyaki, I am going to avoid it going forward. So ridiculous that they cannot put teriyaki sauce on a teriyaki dish. Then want to charge extra for teriyaki sauce they fail to give first time? Would give zero stars, but it was delicious previously (actually came with teriyaki sauce), so I factored that in, unless you order other non-teriyaki item or love your food minus the sauce, i recommend to avoid.

Chicken Hibachi over White Rice and Mixed Veggies

This place is dank. Some friends showed me this place because they wanted to get something cheap yet filling and tasty. Hibachi fulfills your needs and cravings. I ordered the chicken hibachi over white rice with mixed veggies for about $7 and it's super delicious. They give you lots of chicken and it's a large portion. I came around 2/3 pm on a weekday so there wasn't much of a line. If you're in Fair Oaks Mall and are hungry, this is the place to go to

Five stars taking into account the value proposition. Quick and better than decent hibachi for about $8.

The food at Sakaki is full of flavor and the prices are reasonable for the amount. I think, after being twice, that the AYCE is not as worth it for me personally because I'm not a big eater, but it's totally worth it if you want a lot of variety and you have a good appetite. I really liked the rolls in particular. The service was excellent- it was a nice balance of coming over once in a while to ask how we were doing without coming over too much. The vibes are awesome with a really nice interior- definitely a nice place to go for a date,!just to go with friends to have a nice meal, or even to grab a meal alone since the center has a large area for single seating. Fyi- for the AYCE menu, note that once you put in an order for a round, you can't order for another 10 min so be sure to order enough at a time. Also, there is a time limit to the AYCE (I think it was 90 min). This'll definitely be a place I go to regularly in the future!

I tried as much of the menu as I could and the rolls and nigiris were definitely the highlight. I wouldn't recommend the crab korokke (too liquidy, and no crab that I could taste) or the karagge - save space for other items! The AYCE is 90mins and you can order every 10 minutes from a tablet. Service was FAST, they definitely weren't playing games. The restaurant itself is also super spacious and well decorated.

Yes…read moreit slightly on the expensive side but I've haven't tried anything else the compares nearby. Their Sukiyaki and Original Abura Soba has been by go to. I'd recommend getting the chili oil to complete the taste if you are ok with a little spicy. The marinated beef was cooked to perfection in the Sukiyaki. I also tried their seaweed salad which tasted fresh and had the right amount of seasoning. And their Takoyaki was cooked perfectly and had a good amount of octopus inside. Restaurant inside is bit on the small side but they do have bar counter-style seating too. Tables have been on the cleaner side compared to other restaurants of this price range. Parking is easy too, being a large shared parking lot. Service has been good both times I went with attentive staff and they also know when to leave you alone.

If you come to Kajiken expecting a traditional steaming bowl of ramen, recalibrate. This is abura…read moresoba country -- and they do it exceptionally well. For the uninitiated, abura soba is a brothless ramen where the magic happens at the bottom of the bowl. A savory aromatic oil and tare base sit beneath springy, chewy noodles, topped with a silky poached egg and classic ramen accoutrements. The key is to mix thoroughly -- really commit -- until the egg emulsifies with the oil and sauce, coating every strand in glossy, umami-packed richness. The texture is the standout. The noodles have a satisfying chew that holds up against the weight of the oil without becoming heavy. It's indulgent but not cloying. The customization element elevates the experience: a drizzle of chili oil adds warmth and depth, while a splash of vinegar cuts through the richness with bright acidity. Dial it in to your preference and the bowl transforms in real time. If you're a fan of Chinese scallion oil noodles or Korean jajangmyeon, you'll recognize the comfort-food DNA here -- but abura soba feels more refined and layered. The flavor is concentrated, savory, and deeply satisfying without relying on broth. This is the kind of spot that knows exactly what it is and executes with confidence. A refreshing change from the ramen norm and absolutely worth the visit. Bonus points for the casual kid friendly atmosphere and also offering traditional soup ramen and donburi for less adventurous dining companions.

It's so flavorful, the noodles are so bouncy and don't get overcooked in the broth. I often don't finish ramen broth anyway bc it's quite salty (they do offer ramen broth bowls if that's what your feeling). All that to say, the aburasoba that they do here is really good. I was aware of this spot for a while now after the old Foxfire grill closed but taking the time out to try it has been tricky. Well, what's a better time than 30 minutes before closing time to just pop in and grab a couple of bowls then! It's cold, it's night, it's ramen time! We stumble in grab some shoyu, miso, seaweek salad, takoyaki, karaage, and tiramisu at the end. This place feels like a Japanese version of a Pho shop. Clean restaurant and clean bathrooms. Service was good, straigh forward, skip all the pleasantries. No Bars here but there is a connected space where you can get matcha drinks and boba but its matcha. Everything was matcha. If you're into that stuff, then that's a matcha for you. Ramens were okay. Broth was blowing my mind in flavor. I would say the depth was not too deep but this will work for a cold night. Karaage was okay. Takoyaki lacked impact in flavor also, missing the oomf! Seaweed salad was good but I'm not gonna rave about seaweed salad. We wrapped things up with the tiramisu cake. Oh boy, that was a surprise. It fell flat. The layers were overcooked and had a tough bite. I expect tiramisu to have a tender bite to it. We didn't finish that slice of cake. Well, we left full but half fulfilled. Was it worth it? Not really. If you need ramen and cup o noodles isn't cutting it, this is an option. Then again, there are options.

The food was made to perfect and the freshness of the uni and salmon were as if they were fishing it from the back door. We ordered some miso soup, fried squid, salmon nigiri and sashimi, uni, salmon belly nigiri and of course a couple of classic beers. Salmon nigiri and sashimi was generously cut and amazingly fresh. With the temperature perfectly chilled to it melting in your mouth, it was as if we were in Japan. The Uni was even more amazing!! Properly chilled and the creamy texture was beyond perfect. Salmon belly nigiri was succulent and writing this review makes me want to take that 2 hr commute for another round. I forgot to mention the fried squid/calimari. Not many will understand this but the tempura batter was perfectly dipped and the tender texture was amazing. It was not out of a bag, it was freshly cut, battered, and fried there. It was an amazing experience and we will be back for more excitement.
