Update to response on my last review; eve (DM) and Tom (the OWNER) are aware of the way novi is presented, they were always there frequently and I was told bugs in a restaurant were normal. I can assure you as a food safety certified person; it isn't. There's a reason novi had a FULL staff turnover of all their employees and it's not because the employees were bad. Extremely disgusted and disappointed in the service and quality of food we received. If I could give 0 stars I absolutely would. When we came in they said it would be a 20 minute wait for our food. Totally fair making it from scratch. We get fountain drinks and we're not told before purchasing that the only freestyle machine they had was out of all regular pop and had 0 carbonation in it so everything was flat. Staff were understanding and let us grab other drinks. We then found out from other customers the staff were notified over 30 minutes ago but did not do anything to fix this and kept selling fountain drinks. We sit and wait for 40 minutes before anyone in our party gets food. Out of 10 dishes ordered total we received 3. One ice cold, one lukewarm on the sides and cold in the middle and the other pretty warm. At 45 minutes I go up and ask for an ETA on my order they say they're just waiting on a sauce for one of them and then we'll get them. We wait ANOTHER 10 minutes before they deliver 2 dishes that were not ours and actually another tables order. I go back up to the counter and ask again when we will get our food. She asks what dish were missing I told her we're missing 7. She seemed very shocked by this and said "so you haven't gotten any of it?" I said no and listed what we were missing. Turns out 3 we're sitting in the window waiting to be taken to us. One was still warm, one was cold and the other was sitting for so long the tortelloni sauce congealed and was now stuck to the bowl. I turned the tortelloni bowl upside down and it did NOT move. At this point it has been an hour and 10 minutes. They tell me they still need to make our other dishes and just started working on 1 of them but hadn't even started the other 3. At this point we were all tired and still hungry and just wanted to leave. I told them to forget the other dishes and that we would need a full refund for the 5 we did not receive. They said they could offer us meal coupons instead which at this point felt like a slap in the face with how long we had been waiting and how much of a run around we'd gotten anytime I went up there. I told them absolutely not were from out of town and don't have a noodles near us to even use them at. On top of all of this the restaurant was dirty. There were half eaten meals left on other tables and none of the tables looked like they were wiped down at all. The bathroom was also disgusting. It looked like it had never been cleaned before and there was no toilet paper. My whole group decided we'd rather hold it for the hour ride home then go in the bathrooms here. Noodles is one of my favorite restaurants that I used to frequent often in Grand Rapids so I'm very disappointed and upset by the quality of service, food, and cleanliness here. read more

This is based upon two visits. This company, or maybe just this location, is just BAD. The noodles are okay, but the company is a downfall. First things I noticed. The inside is disgustingly dirty. Crap on the floors, food and stuff left at tables and no forks in the chambers. If you eat here. Get it to go. Eat it in a clean environment and use a plastic fork in a plastic container. Probably the most hygienic option. First trip - Japanese pan fried noodles and spicy Korean beef noodles. Both with a side of Mac and cheese. Mac and cheese - to be honest I already had low expectations for this. It was $1.75 an order. But I expected far more than boodles with a sprinkle of cheese on top. And a lot of WATER on the bottom. Japanese pan fried noodles was supposedly made with a SWEET SOY SAUCE. Except it wasn't sweet and was actually decently spicy. It was completely dry, and the fillings (the very VERY few there were) were over cooked. Spicy Korean Beef noodles - really spicy but to be expected and okay. The sauce was watery and separating. And very few toppings. Only saving grace was the beef which was 'okay'. Not marinated like they claimed though. Second visit was today. Easy menu to hope for the best. Penne Rosa and Alfredo MontAmore with a side of potstickers(free). Pot stickers - this has to be said. These were so damn bad that it blows my mind. I could've gotten a BAG of FROZEN potstickers and had them be easily a thousand times better. The sauce might has been water. Oh did I mention the potstickers were FLAT? Yeah,... picture included. Took them to the desk person (who honestly looked like ten years old and barely reached the cashier table) and he said that they cook them this way. They 'flatten' them on the griddle. Who the hell does that?!? Penne Rosa - sauce was spicy with no other flavor, chicken was bland and got little to no toppings. Not much to say. Low expectations not even met. Alfredo MontAmore - once again low expectations not even met. Sauce was thin and OILY as though it was microwaved and split. Barely covered even the noodles. Chicken was bland for being 'Parmesan crusted'. At least there was a decent amount of (undercooked) broccoli. So they had two chances and now they're out of my options. So stupid considering how EASY these recipes are. For the amount they charged I expected far more. Especially when you have the balls to put 'buttered noodles' at the same price as nearly every other meatless option. read more

But, I thought I would give this location a try and it has also been quite a few years since my last visit. My first impression, dirty!! The tables weren't cleaned off, if they were, it was done in a sub-par manner. The chairs had stains on them. The carpet was dirty and had food strew about on the floor. I arrived pretty early in the lunch time frame, so it seemed like it was never cleaned from the day prior. The condiment area was also in disarray and the bottles of their own siracha were sticky. The food..Below average! The food seems like it is microwaved food items, small portions and prices that are high. The prices do not correlate with the quality of the food and the portions they serve. Also, I asked for an Asian noodle dish with chicken and they forgot the chicken. I showed a worker my receipt, they took my bowl, threw out its contents and said they would make another one. They did bring another order, but really with no overtures of customer service. This is my favorite noodles location. That's not just because it's the closest to where I live, although that is a nice bonus, this location is the most pleasant. They have large windows, so you can enjoy the outside while enjoying the air conditioning inside. They also have a nice large patio section, although it's on the side of the building kinda close to the main road (Novi Road) so it might be a little noisy. This location has really good desserts as well, which they say are not served at all the locations. You should hit this location up if your headed to the mall, it's great! read more

I went here tonight for takeout, I had a free appetizer coupon from the Northville location from the last time I went. Usually I order a meal with the appetizer too, but tonight we were just getting appetizers. This is in the same plaza as Blaze and it's next to Jersey Mike's. Parking is in the back, so if you're going south on Novi Rd, you actually pass the building and then take a right and then another right. (if going north, then take a left into the drive before the building) This location reminded me a lot of the Bingham Farms one. Nice location but a lot smaller than the Northville or Troy ones I usually go to. I'm sure I'll be back at some point though, since it's the closest location to my parents' place. read more

I do like the flavors of most of the dishes, but it's the prices that are a turn off. It's around $20 for two people to eat here: main courses + drinks. Compared to other locations of this franchise the place is only OK. I think because the staff are still new (as of Dec 2015) their still working out the kinks. My noodle bowl was sloppy presented with sauce along the rims of the bowel and the noodles were undercooked by 1-2 mins. My wife's sandwich was poorly cut in half so you couldn't just tear it apart without unwrapping part of it. The food, however, tasted just fine and the meats were moist. I craved some noodles and have been watching this new location being built for the last few months, decided to give it a go. I had checked their online menu and was disappointed - yet again another eatery with NO prices on the online menu. I called their phone number for info. The staff must be still too new and not understanding everything, because the lady who answered the phone didn't even know what various items cost. It wouldn't be much effort for employees to be trained properly. Walked in and the place wasn't crowded even at a Friday night at 6pm. But finally saw prices on a giant sign on the wall. Prices are $6 for a "regular" portion and $4.60 for a "small"... both prices are for their standard noodle dishes Without Meat. Sadly every thing extra costs. It's Pricey too. But I mostly go get Carry Out for the Food. I ended up getting a Regular sized Spaghetti with red sauce, and asked for extra sauce. And then a small Butter noodles. The extra sauce with the Spaghetti was pitiful. Maybe 1 ounce if at best. the Sauce on the noodles was pitiful. Might as well get naked noodles, Sauce is a must for good Pasta. The Butter noodles however... WOW. I never would of ordered it. But I did. I could of ordered 2 regular $6 portions and still been wanting. The NOODLES were short curly twist noodles, with some sort of butter sauce, herb seasoning, and shredded parmesan cheese. I loved this stuff. I will go back.
