I'm at a 3.5. We were torn on where to eat and Noosa was on the way so we stopped. We were sat right away and our waitress came right over. I'm not sure if it was time of day or the pandemic but they were running a short menu and she talked so fast I wasn't sure what she said regarding specials. It seemed like they were either shorthanded or busy getting ready for the dinner rush. Either way, she was prompt and the food was fine. Nothing special though. One note: I ordered chicken Marsala and it was finished with cream. I wasn't quite expecting that (maybe I missed it on the menu) but that limited the amount I was able to eat. read more

My wife and I decided to have a date night out and stopped in Noosa bistro prior to attending the movies right across the street. They were relatively busy the bar seemed to be very busy. it seemed like everybody that was in there was about 85 or older but they were doing their fair share of whooping it up. My wife and I found a empty booth at the bar and ask the server if she could see this there she said sure no problem just let me clean it first. Well it took her about 10 minutes to clean it I could have cleaned it myself in about 30 seconds. is also kind of chilly in there and I noticed that they had gas fireplaces which would have added to the ambiance as it was a cool night but for some reason they didn't fire them up.. My wife ordered the noose a burger and I ordered the turkey burger. I suppose the biggest issue I have is not with a food because it was actually really really good but it was that we were a wadded-up napkins throw away from two bartenders and we couldn't get their attention to save a life. This extended amount of time we spent at the table probably about 20 minutes longer just trying to get the attention of a server to get us refills so if anything I would hope they would want to work on that. Otherwise my turkey burger was actually really really good and my wife's Noosa Burger could have used a little bit more Sriracha ketchup other than that will go back and give another try read more

The service was excellent and the food was very good. We were pretty much the last customers of the day. But they didn't rush us at all. I highly recommend the restaurant. There is only on complaint, and it's significant as I am a desert person. Our group ordered three peach cobblers. When we got to that part of the dinner we're beyond disappointed . In my view it would have been more curate to call it a bread pudding with a hint of peach. I really think that they really didn't know what a peach cobbler is. There was no juice and the peaches were so dry they might well be dried fruit that they attempted to rehydrate. My recommendation is to either rename the desert or remove it from the menu. It is the one thing we tried that didn't speak well of you. Other than that it was a wonderful dining experience. read more

We had a very disappointing experience. I took my buddy to dinner to celebrate his birthday. He chose the place and we made reservations for the patio for 830 on a Friday night. We arrive 10 minutes early and the hostessed asked if we had a seating preference. He stated that we made reservations a couple of days in advance she looked and said I'm sorry we just closed the patio. Why they would have made reservations for the patio and then refused honor them well before the closing time we had no idea. She said let me go check and disappeared for about four minutes when she came back she said OK we can see you outside. Once we were seated, we waited approximately 10 minutes for anybody to approach the table with a greeting, water, I drink water or anything. When the server finally arrived we gave a drink order and order two appetizers. The server returned with our drinks and we gave her our menu decisions. The appetizers took about 10 minutes and arrived about five minutes before our meals did. We were already at the $95 mark at this point. The server never offered another round of wine, never offered to refill my ice tea glass which was completely empty and for a table of two but spent almost $100, never cleared our dishes as we kept moving them around to accommodate our eating and never even suggested dessert but casually asked dessert tonight and she dropped off the bill. Absolutely unbelievable I will never ever return. I tipped her well because I'm sympathetic that she may have not been trained properly. We spend several hundred dollars a month eating out when we're not in the middle of a pandemic and this place will not be getting any more of our money. The food was OK except it was extremely salty but certainly a piece of fish I had was not worth $27. I highly recommend you take your money elsewhere and have a much more pleasurable and served experience. read more

My boyfriend surprised me with a date night at Noosa Bistro! We went on a Friday night at 7pm. We were about 5-7 minutes late, but they were accommodating! Service was fantastic, with our waitress never missing a beat. We both got salads as an appetizer, as I'm not a fan of seafood at all, nor my boyfriend of raw seafood. There was a slight wait with entrees, but that is expected for a busy Friday night. Every table was filled in the house, aside from the table seating 8-10 next to us. I ordered the NY Strip, while my boyfriend ordered the Fish Fry! My steak was a tad too pink for Medium-Well, but after working in a steakhouse, I now know to ask for a bump. Also, the peppercorn sauce seemed to have had bleu cheese in it, which I'm not fond of, but I can't complain too much. My boyfriend enjoyed his fish and fries, and I tasted the cole slaw as neither of us are really a fan. However, I did somewhat enjoy theirs!! I had full intentions of skipping dessert, but my boyfriend was ready for the brownie sundae! I originally ordered the peach cobbler, but was told they had just sold the last one. The brownie sundae was delicious, and we were so excited I actually forgot to take a picture so that's why it's half eaten and angled properly. Waited 45 minutes for a med rare steaks. Two tables who arrived after us received their food before us. Asked for a manager, and was told there wasn't one. Our waters were never refilled. The server offered free dessert, but I told her I wanted the steaks off the bill instead. She was very rude after that. I had the pleasure of hosting a 60th wedding anniversary party on June 8th 2024 at Noosa Bistro. I met with James White, General Manager who guided me through what I wanted to achieve. We then choose a well rounded menu consisting of Noosa filet,prime rib swordfish, Halibut, Salmon, Chicken Alfredo, Pasta Primavera and Lamb Rack. All were outstanding in presentation and flavor. James suggested room arrangement as well as decorations for the tables. He offered to help with anything He could do to make my day special. He gave me two Servers: Kelly and Gage for the evening tosee to my guest needs. What a job these two did from cocktails to cutting the cake. Everyone on the team made each guest's request special. Job well done! I heard reviews for two days how nice everything was. So if you need a restaurant with exceptional Food, Service, and Ambiance, Go to Noosa Bistro. The ambiance is very good, nicely decorated I tried the NY strip steak with augraten potato's and green beans The steak was large and cook perfectly and well seasoned. I recently visited Mentor to go to the James A. Garfield National Historic Site. Upon arriving in Mentor we decided to get some food before touring Garfield's home. We drove down the street and found Noosa. We decided to try it since it was somewhere new. Actually, I must confess that the only reason I wanted to go here was because it was a fine dining restaurant in an old Burger King. However, once you're inside you would never know. The restaurant is well decorated and has accents of wood. The tables have tablecloths. The space is dark, but accented with much ambient lighting. There is a fairly large bar area. The front has a large outdoor patio. The menu was original and varied. I tried a wrap with chicken and brie. The wrap was good but the flavors were a little flat. It needed a little spice. I also had a bowl of tomato soup which was heavenly. The complimentary homemade bread was divine. My father got the crab melt (like a tuna melt but crab) and said that it was very good. They have homemade potato chips that accompany the sandwiches which are excellent as well. We were here at a slow time. There was only one other table. Our server however was not very attentive he seemed to be distracted. We'd have to wait for water refills and such. Overall, it was an excellent meal. Noosa is one of the nicer restaurants we have in Mentor. I've never been disappointed and the service is always top notch. I went there this evening, we were a group of 9. I ordered the special which was 12 oz ribeye with garlic mashed, 3 shrimp and green beans. The steak was made just as I ordered it, seasoned well and very tasty, and the sides complemented the meal. I took half the meal home with me. If you're looking for good food, a good dining experience and a reasonable price, I recommend Noosa. read more

I reviewed when they were at their old location. Now that they are near La Malfa, they kinda such, honestly. Have been to their new location three times I think. Two during covid. Those two experiences were lackluster at best. The wait staff are inept mostly. Slow....I mean considering the number of tables to staff members. The food, well its getting bad. Real bad. Prime rib is NOT prime and the green beans aren't even cooked a little. They taste like a very raw bean dipped in a petroleum-based liquid to mimic butter. Gross. We've been to Noosa Bistro a couple of times and have never been disappointed but last night's meal was the best. Like many restaurants, Noosa offers mid-week specials to help fill their seats. But, unlike many other restaurants, Noosa's Wednesday night special is fantastic! You have the choice between a 12 ounce strip steak or a 12 ounce rib eye steak along with mashed potatoes or french fries and a vegetable all for just $20! I had the rib eye and my husband had the strip steak. Both were cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious! As were the mashed potatoes and veggies. My wife & I dined at Noosa Bistro for the first time on Sat., 10.12.19. We arrived around 5:45 p.m. & were immediately seated in the rear dining room. About six other tables were occupied. The dining room was nicely decorated in a contemporary style that was inviting rather than being cold & sterile. Flowers, faux lighted candles, & linens adorned the table. Parties of ten or more could be easily but perhaps not quickly accommodated. We were quickly greeted by our server who proved herself most capable during our meal. For an appetizer, my wife & I both had a cup of tomato basil soup which was very good. I initially wanted the sausage & cabbage soup du jour. I was told it was sold out which I thought was odd as the customary dinner hour hadn't quite started. I chose prime rib w/potatoes au gratin while my wife had the New York strip w/mashed potatoes. My prime rib was good but not the most tender or warmest I have ever eaten. The potatoes au gratin were very good. My wife's NY strip was a large cut & very good as were the mashed potatoes. I thought the meal was a bit pricey but one thing both my wife & I observed was the dining room was pleasantly quiet during our meal. The food is excellent, but the service is poor. Our waiter did not tell us his name or tell us there were specials that night. We overheard specials from a different waiter at the table next to us after we had already ordered. We waited a long time for our waiter to bring bread to our table. I had the lamb and they gave me a knife that could only cut butter. Of course the waiter disappeared so I could not get a replacement knife. I just struggled with the one I had. When I was ready for the check, I told the waiter that I was paying cash because he asked. When the bill arrived, there was a credit card fee on it. I was so glad to hear that Noosa opened up at their new location. I loved Noosa at their old location and I love Noosa at their new location. The inside is beautiful and spacious. At the bar,they have phone chargers connected to the bar top for your convenience! How clever! Very useful. I came for Sunday brunch around 2 pm. It seems Sunday is one of their slower days so I took advantage. I order the Cali Benedict-English muffin, tomato, smoked salmon, avocado, poached egg, hollandaise-deliciousness!! The egg was perfectly poached and the toppings were fresh. The only thing I was not a big fan if were the Noosa potatoes as my side. They were just a little blah. Oh well I just know not to get them next time. NBD. They offer lunch and dinner 7 days a week and brunch on Sunday's. There is also happy hour M-F at the bar. Wesley the bartender was an absolute peach. Very personable and great personality. These are a necessity in the service industry and he has it. I go out to eat a lot and usually sit at the bar. Most bartenders I've encountered have little personality, on their phones, complaining to other staff, and say no more than 3 words to you, if that. Wesley asked me how my weekend was going and struck up a conversation through out my stay. Thanks Wesley! After reading some reviews I have to remind you that this place just recently opened. Be patient, make a reservation if you plan on coming during prime hours. Cut them some slack. People are just being people....*rolls eyes*. No need to be harsh. We sat at the bar and asked for dinner menus then was promptly ignored for the next 20-25 minutes while the bartender played on her phone and watched the tv the entire time. This is not a sports bar! When you go to a place like that you expect good service. Paying 18$ for two drinks and horrible service is ridiculous. You agree to pay those prices for the good food and good service. A party of 4 attended for dinner at the bar, service was excellent and food was tasty. The Sausage Appetizer we delicious, burgers were tasty and cooked to perfection. The Bartender was helpful served us well. I changed this review after a second visit a few days later and at lunch time. On this day it was much different, a few seats over from the bar, dirty dishes sat obviously before we arrived un after we left. No one made any attempt to pick them up. The staff only seemed to pop out every once in while, our waitress never checked on our meals after they were brought to us. She checked on drinks one time after, and not noticing we all had finished our meals, never asked if we wanted our check. I changed my previous rating from 4 to 2 and would only recommend this place with the understanding your service might be less than what you expect. Finally got a seat in the bar which we did not like , the seat in the booth was so broke down it hurt to sit on, steak was tough , prime sandwich was over done, finally got the bill , I put a 50 down to pay for it, when he brought me the change it was only bills forgot the 75 cent change ,which is no biggie I would of put with his tip anyway, but dont just assume someone doesn't want their change . we drove up there to eat from pa , as we went last year and loved it , Wont be going again , the waiter was less than happy to have customers and food was not good today read more
