After today they deserve a -5 star review. They took our simple order incorrectly. There were chunks of matcha in our drink. The banana cold foam matcha came with no sweetener or cold foam (their promoted seasonal drink). They ran out of ice cold brew coffee. We said any other regular iced coffee was fine. We were handed a hot coffee and when politely asked if it could be remade iced the barista with lip piercings rolled their eyes and poured HOT coffee over ice in a plastic cup to "fix" their multiple mistakes. It's on the lower level of Nordstrom's right outside and anyone can just walk up and order a coffee, smoothie, tea or grab a snack. They also have a small merch wall as well. I was craving caffeine and needed a hot chai in me but all they had was a lavender chai. I was a bit hesitant to try it but my fellow yee told me it's tasty so I went for it. I got it with almond milk as well. It was creamy, a hint of lavender to where it wasn't over powering and the chai was perfect. Definitely recommended!! This is my second time ordering the Caramel Macchiato' at the Nordstrom Ebar and it's become my favorite coffee drink. Last month I ordered the hot caramel macchiato and this time I got the iced version. Both were delicious! Adrian who took my order saved my day. I had just come from Costco and had fresh fruit I didn't want to spoil in the car. He offered a bag. This is why I prefer Nordstrom over other stores. They have exceptional service and a high standard in all areas. I hope Adrian gets a promotion & raise! I will definitely be coming back again! Highly recommend. Or The fact that they are one of the best high-end Department stores still around where fashion is just as important as their reputable customer service. I'm 100% all about scoping out which Nordies' cafe is on site and where their Ebar is located. If you don't know what I'm referring to when I mention the EBar, my bet is that you are probably hooked on that little Mermaid chick located on every street corner. (trust me I'm in recovery too). ;) Well, If and when you feel like switching it up and elevating your normal grab and go breakfast or lunch options, the Ebar is definitely a pleasant alternative to getting your specialty coffee, those breakfast pastries you love and those pre-made sandwich and salad options for those flyby lunch breaks. My personal favorite is their HAL latte (Honey Almond latte) and their house made croissants. So now that you're in the know... I was very clumsy and always have and on 12/20/24 I hit my chai latte and spilled it all over the condiment table and offered to pay for another one made but they decided to make me one for free without me paying for my clumsiness. This is for service not coffee. First of all, to give a bad review during covid , it better be legit, businesses are understaffed and we all need patience. But with this caveat the service sucked, I mean terrible There were three people behind the bar. There was only one other person in the store. I explained the type of drink I wanted 3 times to the cashier and she kept ignoring what i was saying and saying you want this, and I was like no I want that. So I gave up. When the barista started making it, I asked him to stop putting milk in that's enough. He ignored me. I assumed he just didn't hear me. So I politely spoke a little louder, "hey friend, no more milk please." He snapped at me and said, "I heard you the first time". I think he said I "f ing" heard you, but not sure. In any event he kept putting milk in. And I was like ok thanks -- he keeps putting milk in -- thanks can you stop no more milk, so he then stopped. First, I was just trying to tell him how to make the drink I wanted, I paid $5, including a 25 percent tip. If I go to any coffee house and say easy on the milk I expect them to listen. Second if he had heard me, then don't look down and pretend like you didn't and keep putting milk. And then don't snap at me dude, I was just trying to get a simple drink. And I gave a 25 percent tip, which admittedly is only a dollar. Either way, place was empty, coffee isn't worth it, and staff was miserable. read more

This is a walk up coffee bar right in front of Nordstrom's on the first floor of the Topanga mall. They appear to have a fairly decent range of both hot and cold beverages, typical for a Starbucks like location. I just wanted coffee ($3.40) and a cookie ($3). I chose the oversized chocolate chip cookie. Chewy and super sweet. Just what I wanted. Coffee was strong and flavorful. Also just what I wanted. Price was reasonable by Starbucks standards. Stopped by while waiting to get a pair of shoes shined inside Nordstrom. Had there cold brewer coffee and I must say this is one of the smoothest cold brews I have had. No butter or acid flavor, just pure coffee essence. They offer many choices here but when it's hot outside I prefer a cold cup of Java.. Horrible untrained staff! My mom ordered soy latte but was given with whole milk therefore causing her to have severe cramps and diarrhea all night! As she was waiting she saw one lady pour milk and the same cup was picked up by a male worker and poured milk again. She confirmed that it didnt have whole milk but both worker started laughing and giggling and said it was soy. The lady asked the guy why he poured milk again, he just started laughing. Mom called the ebar to file a complaint and was given the run around. Finally she called nordstrom directly. Get your staff trained properly and get your coffee making process straight! Customers do not order soy just because, a lot of people have severe reaction to regular whole milk. I went in to get a lavender chai latte (it's delicious); but when the Barista handed me my drink I thought it felt light, and when I got to my car and opened the lid, it was only 3/4 filled. If I am going to pay over $4 for medium drink, I would expect to get a FULL medium drink. Makes sense. I'm so irrationally sad that Nordstrom E-Bars don't dot the city like Starbucks does. It's truly upsetting to me. This is my absolute favorite coffee chain (and I'm not a fan of chain coffee whatsoever - I don't even like Coffee Bean or Peet's and will only go to either if I'm in a bind or with a friend who wants to go). But Nordstrom E-Bar is another story. I practically live off of their honey almond lattes (year-round, it's delicious iced or hot and surprisingly low in calories compared to most flavored coffees) and their Mexican hot chocolate (in the winter). I love their pomegranate lemonade too (so good and perfectly sweet and sour!). They also have an impressive spread of to-go lunches and desserts, all of which are absolutely delicious (try the barbecue chicken salad or grab a cup of de-shelled edamame if you want a quick, healthy snack). The service is always quick and pleasant and the location is convenient and central (in mall terms). If only there were free standing E-Bars all over the place...if only... read more
