My favorite item on the menu here is definitely the Irish cream cold brew! Its like an elevated vanilla flavor and it was recommended to me by the barista Danna! I've literally been going for a few months now and because I religiously ordered the Vanilla foam cold brew (and although it was delicious) I always craved something more nutty. After expressing that concern to Danna, she knew exactly what flavor I was going for (which sucks because now I am obsessed with coffee, and after trying to make it at home it is just not the same...) I had been walking past Ebar for weeks and kept noticing the sign advertising ceremonial matcha and their unique cloud foam flavors. After seeing it so many times, I finally decided to give it a try. I ordered the matcha with banana cold foam and was really excited to see how the flavors would come together. Unfortunately, the drink ended up tasting almost entirely like banana. While the drink had the nice green color you'd expect from matcha, I couldn't really taste the matcha itself. I was hoping for that distinct earthy, slightly sweet ceremonial matcha flavor, but it seemed to get completely overpowered by the cold foam. Overall, it wasn't quite the experience I was hoping for, especially given the emphasis on ceremonial matcha. Walked in here because I heard of the new pumpkin spice cold brews and lattes. I ordered both and was dissatisfied. I like to try pumpkin spice coffees at different locations because they all have their own spin, but these were disappointing. The cold brew with pumpkin spice foam was watered down, no coffee essence at all and the foam was way sweet! The latte was the same overly sweet and hardly any coffee flavor. I used to work in the mall and so I was here very, very often and ever since I left, I still choose to drive over to the ebar to get my coffee. In comparison to Starbucks and Philz this is literally my only choice when it comes to getting a coffee prior to the start of my day. The coffee is always great and I love a lot of the menu options but the baristas here and so so so sweet. Even when there are super long lines, all the baristas are so efficient and even though they only have one register, another barista will take their orders in line and have them ready by the time they pay! They are and have always so kind and recognize me every time. The first time I went I met Monique and she was so personable and made small talk with me every time she took my order. After I came back every other day for lunch breaks or before my shifts she and the rest of the team have always made me feel so special and thought about. When I go to Ebar at Nordstrom I go out of my way to go there. That being said, this was my first visit to this Ebar. Erica took my order, I let her know this is a custom drink before I began. It's 3 shots DECAF over ice, with syrup and oat milk. She DID not write decaf as I noticed the barista make it full strength. So I had to go and tell him it's decaf!. I cannot have full caffeine that's why I asked for decaf. Nothing I asked for is out of the ordinary or such an extraordinary request. It's the most basic thing. So when I'm spending 13$ for coffee it better be at least the right order. On top of it I have no idea why the hell she put half n half when I said OATMILK. I speak clear and concise to be helpful on my end. I used to be a barista none of this is difficult. It's Alll about customer service, especially at Nordstrom. So I'm just disgusted at the lack of of it here, I don't expect smiles or extra, I expect the correct drink to be made that's it! Today the E-Bar opened at a new location in the mall. The new Nordstrom opened at Los Cerritos Center (aka: the Cerritos mall) and the E-Bar is right outside the store entrance on the new mall wing. I had a hot black and white mocha (oh yes my friends, with whipped cream) and a dolce de leche bar. The mocha was exceptionally good. The dolce de leche bar was equally delicious. They have a variety of pastries in the case as well as many candies on the shelves (ie - chocolate covered graham crackers and pretzels). They also have salads which are prepared at the cafe inside Nordstroms. A nice variety of drinks are offered as well. It was busy because it was opening day but the staff was very quick yet patient. One barista, Adriana, was especially very nice and friendly. My only complaint was I wish they had given me a little plate for my bar - they just gave it to me in a bag with a fork. read more

I've been here twice. The location is convenient and they do offer a wide selection of drinks and pastries. However, I was completely turned off by the absolute rudeness i experienced a couple of days ago. There was a worker helping the person taking orders and was rushing to take down everybody's orders before we reached the counter. I understand its the holidays, and lines are a little long, but this woman was not even a little bit pleasant. There was no 'welcome... can i take your order... what can i get started for you?' Just simply rude. Another disappointment was that the "barista" steamed all milks in the same tin. I ordered an almond milk latte, and my cousin a soy latte. She steamed my almond milk, then regular cow milk, and finally the soy milk. Can these people please be trained on customer service, and allergy reactions please??????! read more

I like coming here because this place offers the most class for a coffee shop in the Cerritos mall. It's an ironic contrast with the pricey items at Nordstrom as well. Don't let the small menu fool you. There are several "seasonal drinks" that aren't advertised and drinks that they no longer make officially, but can still have made if the barista is knowledgeable enough. An example is what I always get is the mocha chip ice storm or the mint chip ice storm. Both are "non-regular" drinks, but most baristas will still remember how to make them. The one thing that I don't like are the flimsy straws they use. They're okay for really liquid drinks, but if you get something more viscous, chances are the straw will collapse on itself as you suck through it. And, if there are chunks of things in it, like chocolate, it will clog (much like your arteries) and you will have a very difficult time enjoying your drink. If you're still going to go for a thick drink, I recommend either getting a straw from elsewhere, or drinking it without a straw and without a lid. read more

I guess there's always something about shopping at Nordstrom's. You usually go in and take a good look at the prices, then pondering on why you would actually overpay for clothing that will not worth the value. You can exactly go in to a department store like that and pay for something with a Nordstrom carried brands that are price 5 times the worth of a Ross's department store. It's not always the coolest or the trendiest. You would always feel defeated walking out of this place more often than not. However you can salvage your trip to Nordstrom by coming here afterward. They have their own operated coffee/Juice station outside of the department store. It's like a cafe that is reminiscence of a Starbucks stand you see in a market or mall. Their self made lemonade and pomegranate juice are very refreshing. On the front counter stands carried many of the newly arrived bagels and baked goods delivered to the place fresh every morning. It's not all that surprising to see them carried some fresh brewed coffee either. The nice touch they did to the place was adding patio like settings outside of place, but inside of the mall. It made it feel like a French cafe, but with an Air conditioned from the mall. This will be a popular place during the sizzling hot weather of the summer. The only thing I wish they carry would be more variety of juice drinks or maybe come out with some sort of Icee or frozen drinks for that place. Otherwise, this place would be a great place to relax and getting over the disappointment of overspending at the Nordstrom department store. If anything else, coming here would take the sting out of paying premium full retail price while sipping your pomegranate drink. read more

It has lots of seating outside of Nordstrom which is convenient because this mall is usually so packed. I had the pomegranate ice tea and my mom had a regular coffee. The order came out very quickly.
