Been visiting quite a few open to the public ranges and this one is our favorite indoor range so far. Reasonable prices, nice and helpful staff. Like most all ranges, lots of rules for safety. All ammo will be inspected for steel cased. Lanes are wider than most places i have been to so far. Acoustics are good. Targets hang from a track which can be moved closer or further which is a bonus when praticing They have rental pistols to try out and several rifles. Went there today. I'm looking to buy my first gun and the instructor who was running the range was informative, but when I said I would probably be more comfortable with a manual safety, it launched him into a 20-minute rant at me about how unsafe they are and it was extremely rude. I liked that they have rental guns so I was able to try 5 or 6, but yeah, he was not fun to listen to. Very repetitive, very passionate about it and not very nice. Let me be fair, my experience has been in both good and bad at no point. That said, the service has always been very good when I've gone in. The selection from a year ago was minimal at best. I haven't been in there for about a year and it's because I had a bad experience in trying to ship a gun that I purchased to their location. Unfortunately, I may go in there again to see what it's like. The service again has always been good. The prices are reasonable. The individuals there are great. I just didn't like my experience as it pertain to transferring a firearm to their location. And, they really didn't have a selection. So the three stars is really based on the fact that it's been a year since I've been there and my bad experience. Live close...in Arlington so come here from time to time. Was in tonight and must say the staff on the check in desk was the worst I've seen here yet. Now most are rude and need customer service training but this guy needs let go. Completely rude made it a point to come and complain at wife and I while shooting. Get over yourself. Having had a lousy experience here two years ago, I've steered clear of Norpoint. Yesterday, I took my daughter here to break in her new nine as well as my brand spanking new Kimber .45. The experience could not have been better. We were treated respectfully and educated thoroughly on all important aspects of gun range etiquette...excellently done, store manager. 25 yard indoor range. 10 yard archery range infront (how incredibly stupid). Lots of rules for safety, so please follow them. The guys in front can have a bit of attitude at times which turns people away. No preloaded magazines allowed. All ammo will be inspected. Just wished they opened earlier in the day. read more

As of this writing I've had one experience at this range but it was very positive and I will go back. I was impressed with Brian's focus being all about keeping everybody safe (safe handling and discharging of firearms, sharing knowledge to help people be more competent shooters, giving feedback about firearm selection, etc.) Classes through The Firearms Academy of Seattle are held here for the Northies of the area. The ladies room is amazingly well stocked with feminine accoutrement (a gun range luxury I've not seen elsewhere yet) which leads me to believe they have a fairly strong female clientele. Hmm. Nice facility! They check all the boxes for this sort of business and we had a great time hunting paper targets. The staff was friendly and helpful and the other clientele were conscientious and respectful. The only two thoughts I would share are that I wish they had a soda machine. Not all of us like energy drinks and it would be good to have another option. This has to be the worst gun range I have ever been to. The people who work there are very rude and not very knowledgeable. I went there today with my own gun I got from Cabelas with my son and the customer service was very rude and disrespectful. We were standing in line and they let people cut in front of us they are very disorganized and there guns suck there always jamming up and the sights are not sighted correctly. I don't think anyone there does there job right if I could give them a -5 stars I would definitely not a 4 star light the website says. It must be there friends and family that give them the positive feedback not real customers because that place just plain sucks. Never going back there again I would recommend other people not to go there either read more

First off, this place is great place to get knowledge about the firearms and what each firearm would be right choice for the person operating it. They have experts there who teach classes and highly recommend the classes to those who never operated a firearm or need brushing up since the last time they operated a firearm. Secondly, the folks at Norpoint really believe in responsible firearm users. They care about the safety of those on their property when they are in the bays, in the lobby and out in the world. They don't just arm you with a firearm, they arm you with knowledge and skills to know when and how to use to it to defense yourself, your loved ones, and those you care about. Personally, i have been going to Norpoint quite a lot and even more because lately i get the feeling that the 2nd amendment isn't shown any respect by the government and all these anti gun rights activists and they use awfully incidents and shootings to push us into surrendering our right to defense ourselves from the evils that exist here and around the world that might come a knocking some day. Purchased a rifle out of state, was having it sent to Norpoint as my chosen local FFL. The seller called me to tell me that he called Norpoint, and they told him to have it sent somewhere else, because they will not process someone else's sale, wow. Rewind to 2 or 3 months ago - I found an online I1639 course, but, was curious about doing/finding a classroom setting. I got on the phone with Norpoint, and the guy was cool and easy to talk to, until I mentioned the free online course, versus waiting 2 months to get into thier class. Guy got angry, told me that the online class wasn't valid or legal, and thanked me for waiting his time. Steer clear is my advice! read more

The worst customer service I've ever seen in my life. During when it's rush hour, they would find any excuses to get people in & out. Seems like they are hungry for money and want us to pay for their service & products to get the money and make you to leave because others stay in line. The next day I caught the same guy on the spot with a lie, he mentioned that he discussed with his partner & owner about the decision that they all made. It's a Big lie. I've been to Norpoint a few times, sometimes with my 13 year old son. All was well until our visit last week The clerk decided that my son could not use my 10/22 until he was 14. He claimed it was a change in the law. That evening I researched 1639 and any other applicable law I could think of and came up with nothing to support his claim. I called several other ranges and none of them have a policy like that. I've emailed Norpoint to ask if it was a mistake but no response thus far. If they decide its important enough to contact me I will update. Until then I'll go elsewhere. read more

The class was informative, fun and critically essential in understanding the responsibility involved in owning, safely handling and properly discharging a firearm. The service at this place is worse than a greasy spoon. I stood around for several minutes waiting for the employees to acknowledge me. Then finally, out of exasperation, I asked the employees if I could be helped. The employee who waited on me seemed irritated that he had to do his job. The fellow was combative and rude, and to top things off he had an inappropriate conversation about genitalia with his co-workers while I was browsing the gun selection. Also, on two prior occasions, the staff ignored me while a customer leaned against the counter bragging about all of the game he killed. Today was the last straw. I've been here once. That's all it took for me to decide that once was enough. I came here wanting to take a crack at my new 1911. I approached the counter and stood in front of a worker, pretty funny, turns out I was wearing an invisibility cloak. Sweet! Once I got the employees attention, he treated me like I was a child in a candy store. He assumed that I have never fired a gun and was completely incompetent. Hmm, never mind the fact that I'm a combat veteran and have law enforcement in my background. Whatever. The ranges looked good visually. But the hanging targets would constantly move due to their ventilation or draft or something. So much for accurate target practice with my new toy. Norpoint has a nice selection of hand guns and rifles you can rent and ammo you can purchase. You can work on your rifle and shotgun skills as well as hand gun in their indoor range. Also, they will be offering a wide range of classes. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and the range is safe and clean. You can bring your own guns and ammo if you have your own. The only thing they don't allow is steel ammo or BBs. I was told the reason is because it can pierce their expensive backstop. Their building is still under renovations and I'm eager to see what it looks like once they get it all finished. They are going to have a full retail area including firearms. They also plan on offering full gun smithing services if they don't already. This gun range was bought by new owners, and it's obvious! The place is really taking on a new personality. Fair prices, friendly staff. They accidentally made a wrong charge amount but we caught it while I was there. They voided the charges and comp'd the lane fee and only charged for ammo and targets. Norpoint is both shooting Range and Gun store. The range supports a wide variety of weapons including special lanes for high power rifles. The folks there are diligent about keeping everyone safe and following loading and discharging rules while on the range. The gun store carries a variety of weapons along with ammo, cases, sights. Where as they may not carry everything in stock, they are willing to help you find what you are looking for and offer very competitive prices. The folks are knowledgeable and can help diagnose and solve most gun related issues in house. They are definitely worth the drive! Can't wait for my M&P9 to get in! read more

Really, really nice range. They have a nice open seating area to hang out, multiple classroom areas and awesome shop as well as the actual range. It is a wonderfully female friendly environment. Not only do they have knowledgeable female employees, but they also host Well Armed Woman there every month. My BFF takes lessons there and can't rave enough about how great her instructor is. The shop has all kinds of fun stuff (think Guns and Coffee). Can't say enough good things :) read more

I had an excellent time at Norpoint! We went on a Monday because it is ladies night... what this means is it's half price for ladies, and also you get free use of any gun if you buy their ammo!! Wow, that was super cool, I tried many many guns! :) They have a nice shop as well for guns, ammo, clothes etc. Comfy seating areas with snacks so you can chill for a bit etc. Everyone that worked there was knowledgable and super nice too. I have been a member of the range in all of its incarnations since the first owners. Despite suffering much neglect from previous owners, the current owner has done a really good job of revamping the range and repairing some of the neglect. The range is very clean and well lit, & to me is a much better environment than the other local range, Sam's down on Airport Rd near Lynnwood behind the big porn barn. In the past the air conditioning at Norpoint has been very cold making the range an endurance feat to remain any length of time. Today while shooting, I was pleased to see several electric heaters on timers installed in the roof over the shooting lane. Right now the pistol bay has the heaters, but the rifle bay was getting heaters installed as I was there. The heaters are a great addition in the bays. Having the heaters on a timer is smart so that unused bays are not heated wasting electricity. Only complaint on the heaters is I wish there was a temperature setting so that I could adjust how much heat I wanted. The heaters are either on or off, so I suggest dressing in layers so that you can peel or add layers as required. Gun store is still rather sparse in its offering but has friendly staff. The gun store will order something for you if you want something not in stock. The gun store also sells reclaimed, uncleaned and unsorted range brass for a fair price. Brass is sold by caliber, but all mixed together if you are brand picky. Today I noticed only pistol brass, but did not see any rifle brass for sale. read more

As far as shooting ranges in the Snohomish/Everett/Arlington area go... This is pretty much the only one. Moderately priced when it comes to memberships. A single membership runs around $200 and a family plan about $250 if I remember correctly. They do have some odd policies such as charging on top of the membership to shoot rifles and shotguns. Overall, you wont break your wallet shooting here and they do offer a wide variety of rental options as well as tactical training. The staff is about as friendly as a typical semi-abrasive gun salesman get. Most of them seem to suffer from gun store commando syndrome but on the whole they pretty much know what they are talking about. A range officer once called me ridiculous for shooting an AR15 at about 25 feet (I was making sure the zero on my red dot was accurate close up as well) and demanded that I move the target back with no explanation as to why but thats about as "ridiculous" as they've been. On the whole I enjoy shooting here. It's clean, relaxing and the fellow range goers have all been friendly. People love talking about their guns! Sure it's cheaper to find some place outside to blow up water jugs, but if you want a nice place with people who can help you shoot better when you leave than you did when you came in, I would give Norpoint Shooting and Tactical Training Center a try. read more

I shoot about every other month and I am on a fixed income. I have a 1911 .45, a Beretta .380, Glock .40S&W, and a Mossberg 500 Cruiser pistol grip shotgun, short barrel pump 12guage shotgun. Good price for a lane, they allow shooting of shotguns as long as you use slugs or buckshot (which was the kicker for me!) they also offer a deal monday-thursday after 3pm. If you buy a box of ammo from them, they will wave the range fee of 15.00! I've been to Sams Guns, Wades Guns and a couple others in western wa so I know what to expect. Great price for shooting range. If I'm not mistaken, it was $30 for all day pass on the rifle range(hand guns are also allowed) and only another $10 for a second person to use the same lane. My son in-law took my daughter & myself to the range for the first time. We went in last week & the staff Dalton & Roy were great they answered our questions & gave us a lot of tips that we had no idea we needed to know about hand guns. We know how to shoot riffles but hand guns are a bit different. We greatly appreciate the knowledge & experience these two guys have along with great customer service. Norpoint just recently opened back up and the interior is a lot nicer. The range itself it's pretty nice and was pretty good even before the renovations. The biggest issue I have is with customer service. The employees are hit and miss with friendliness. They are often very short, cocky, demanding, and just make you feel like they are doing you a favor by letting you shoot at their range. I could easily give norpoint 5 stars if they got friendlier staff and actually focused on customer service. Just because the act of shooting guns is something to take serious, doesn't mean that front desk staff can't be kind and courteous. read more

The facility was average when it came to customer service, I wasn't turned off by unfriendly staff but then again wasn't welcomed either. Smile and a welcome goes a long way. The range was spacious and warm unlike some others Ive been to. The reason i gave it only 3 stars was because the lack of options in rental equipment and gun shop. I wanted to test shoot a few revolver before i purchase but unable to, so I'll probably return to use the range but not to shop.
