Philly cheese South with onion rings
    Cathi H.

From the minute you walk into this place, you feel like you are visiting your favorite Aunt's place. Greeted warmly, recommendations made and fast service, you have to try this place! Hubby had the Smashburger OG with onion rings and I had the Philly Cheese South with rings too. Both were delicious and super fresh. Onion rings were tasty and super hot when they came out. We brought home the sweet fry bread for a late night snack for Friday game night! We give this cute little gem 10/10.

Indian Philly Taco! Da bomb! Great Philly meat, tasty chili!

Great food, service, and a nice atmosphere. I love the Indian Philly Taco! It's like a Gordita Supreme with tasty Philly meat and the best chili plus all the fixins. Fish and chips were also very nice.

Right on the 101. Reminds me of any rural cafe, good authentic dining. Enjoyed the music and atmosphere. Great customer service when greeted at front. Really was inviting, lots of options on the menu and you can get a regular style burger and also smash burger. Liked that option. I got the smash burger and it was good, the highlight was the pickles. Very fresh. I would say if you're dehydrated, this is the perfect place for food, lots of salt. It was still very good.

Just passing through and my fellow yelpers guided us here. Arrived at the counter to be mesmerized by their menu. We were greeted by Lauren. I went with the fry bread taco, so happy I did. We ordered daily special of Chicken Alfredo, bacon burger with tots and an order of chili cheese fries. Lots of seating. We met the Norris Family Eric and Cherece who showed such warm and friendly hospitality. *perk They had really cool info on where to go and how to get there.

I was on a NorCal roadtrip when I came across this lovely place. My boyfriend and I had gotten good poisoning days previous and hadn't eaten in a couple days. We found this place, decided to try it, and I'm so happy we did because the people who work here are so kind!! My boyfriend wasn't gonna eat because they didn't have soup and that was all he felt like he could eat. Mrs. Norris heard that we were sick and said, "give me 10 minutes and I can make him a chicken noodle soup." I got the Indian friend bread with chili. Mrs. Norris brought out our food on a tray with tea and said she was giving us the Momma Norris sickness recovery treatment. I about cried at the kindness. This place definitely lives up to the name family restaurant. Our food was delicious and we were so kindly checked in on multiple times. The nicest and most intentional people ever!! Well worth eating here and supporting an amazing family owned and run restaurant t!

We were completely satisfied with the food and service we received from the Norris Family Kitchen. Ambience is very casual, the service is family friendly and the food is a large serving of very flavorful fare. If you have a sweet tooth give the Fry Bread Sweet a try. I had the Smash the Works with Sweet Potato Fries, my husband had the Indian Taco and Chili, and we shared a Sweet Fry Bread. Every item was delicious. We're 90 miles away from Crescent City but every visit there will include a stop at Norris's.

Friendly service, clean restrooms and dining area. Smash burger was huge, regular burger also huge. I spoke about the Philly cheese steak and was given a sample by the cook (owner?). It was very good but like the burger, the cheese was melted into the meat which made it rubbery. Our meals were very good but as cheese cooks, it can get rubbery. Cinnamon fry bread was a nice dessert to our meal! Would definitely go back again.

We had the Philly cheese with mushrooms & onions. It was delicious. Soft bread, just the right amount of cheese, meat was tender. We also tried the cinnamon fry bread. That was also very good !

The fried bread ! So good !

Amazing smash burgers! I got the Bbq smash burger and my husband got the original, both were so good ! Owners were so nice and friendly, they even gave us free fry-bread... it was delicious !!! Love the casual and comfortable atmosphere. Will definitely be going back.

We chose Seaquake since it was one of the few restaurants that was open with a good rating. The wait time was estimated to be an hour and a half, so we put our names down and just ended up walking to the beach to kill time, but they actually confirmed our table in less than an hour. We ordered fish and chips and coconut prawns, and they were both delicious! I dare say these could be the best fish and chips I've had, but I do like the panko crust more than beer battered. The fish was very crispy, moist, and well-seasoned. The coconut prawns were also done well with the coconut being not too cloyingly sweet and the prawns again having a nice crispy texture. The salsa on the side was a nice refreshing complement too. For drinks, I ordered the battery point blonde ale and guava mango margarita. Both were very good. I should have gotten a few cans of the battery point. My bf got the redwood highway hazy IPA and orange sunstar. Overall, this was a great spot. The service was great and our server was very friendly in offering recommendations. I will add this spot to my list of places that I would come back to next time I'm in Crescent City.

This place had a great vibe and was packed every time we went, but never had an outrageous wait. The calamari strips are a MUST. The breading had great flavor and every-time we had them (we went several times) the calamari was cooked perfectly! They had a fish special the night I went that I think was snapper over jasmine rice with blistered tomatoes. Hands down one of the most delicately delicious, fresh meals I had during my stay. Their wings were also delicious. Crispy, but also so juicy. Fish and chips seems to be the go to here, which was VERY good but I will say, it's the same breading as the calamari so I'd order one or the other next time because it was similar in taste. But again, delicious, cooked perfect, and fresh! My girlfriend got the fish tacos which she loved! I really wish I got merch but they were out of our sizes! They sell so much of their beer there as well as clothes/hats/keychains etc. to go! Almost forgot, they make homemade root beer which is SO good. They serve it without ice and it is so smooth and delicious. Probably the best root beer I've had. Actually pretty devastated I live in PA and have nothing close to home that can even hold a candle to this place.

I have never been WOWED by the service as the owner claims to do. Our server was polite but after being seated at 6:40pm and ordering drinks, apps, and entrees at 6:51pm, our appetizer came out at 7:10pm and by 7:43pm, we still hadn't gotten our meals. We had to cancel our order and the server (Holly F) was polite but patronizing and said she would "cancel and comp the meal". Comp is short for complimentary. All she did was not charge us for a meal we canceled. She also tried to justify that our entrees were put in only 28 minutes ago and it would be another 5-10 minutes. So we sat down at 6:40, ordered at 6:51, and our entrees weren't put in until 6:15, a full 19 minutes after we ordered??? She also gave an excuse that they only had two people cooking and the restaurant was busy. Not my problem. If she knew they were under staffed, she should have told customers that the kitchen is slow. Communication goes a long way. This is the first time I have ever canceled an order at a restaurant. I doubt I will go back. Very disappointed with the staff.
