After scheduling a 9:15 am appointment for an oil change and diagnostic for a "check engine" light, at 11:30 am they had not even started on it. When I asked why not, they said they had 20 cars and 4 techs. Why schedule 20 cars for 2.25 hours? Or if the didn't over schedule, why schedule at all if those scheduled don't get priority? Inept, incompetent scheduling and a complete lack of respect for customers' time. Never again. read more

Great car buying experience, I worked with Justin. Came in late one night to look at a car, ended up wanting but wanted to come back the next day. Most places would be sleezy high pressure but these guys aren't. I came back the next day, got the car, And everyone was very friendly and easygoing. I got a good deal and enjoyed my experience. This is not a big fancy modern dealership that churns as many customers through as possible, but instead more of an old school, customer is number one place. I would definitely go back. read more

TL;DR: NB Chevy did a poor job inspecting and cleaning a pre-owned 2013 prius, leading to a rodent infestation shortly after we purchased it (or who knows, may have been there when we purchased it). We fortunately caught it before the rodent chewed anything too important, but it was a major hassle that we shouldn't have had to deal with buying a car from a dealer, and the rear seats and seatbelts are now permanently damaged, likely requiring replacement. Bought a 2013 Prius (used) from North Bend Chevrolet. Buying experience was fine, got a reasonable price with little hassle. Kudos for that. However, after a week or two, noticed a strange smell in the car. Cleaned it top to bottom (or so we thought), and in doing so, found a bunch of broken glass in the spare tire well. Ok, not a huge deal, but probably should have been taken care of by NB Chevy in the first place. Anyway, we cleaned that, but the smell remained. That was around August 2018. Have been checking over the car, getting into more nooks and crannies, but still (3 months later), the smell remains. Today, cleaning out the back of the car, I noticed some rubber from the floor mat had been shredded. Turns out a mouse had gotten in the car and torn up much of the back seat. Upon removal of the back seat (didn't know that was something that could be easily done, and removing it is pretty difficult, so hadn't tried that before), found loads of crumbs, kids toys, pens, and other garbage stuffed under the seat. Apparently the previous owners had dumped a bunch of stuff back there (or their kids had) and NB Chevrolet, while detailing the car, had neglected to even look, just as they neglected to inspect the spare tire well. The rodent that was attracted by this garbage chewed through parts of the rear seatbelts, which now require replacement for safe carriage of passengers in those seats. I know it's an obscure part of the car, and I didn't recognize that the seat could be removed, but I certainly expect a car dealer to know whether the seat can be easily removed, and if so, I expect them to check under the seat and clean it. The food and garbage (which we were unable to locate until the rodent that found it made a mess and led us to it) should have been taken care of in detailing the car before it was sold. I take partial fault for not doing more research into the car before buying (I was focused more on the mechanical operation), but part of the reason I went to a dealership and paid a premium for buying an inspected, used car is that I expect the dealer to be able to assure me that nothing is wrong with it, or at least know (and inform me) if something is. This shows a lack of detail and care on the part of the service department at NB Chevrolet, and I will hesitate considerably to take my business there in the future. read more

The best service department I have dealt with in the past decade (or more). I have a GMC and until a couple of years ago I had to take it to a GMC dealer to get any warranty service. Visited Bellevue once before they closed, I went South for one issue and will never go there again! Worked with Bob and Dirk, both helpful, friendly and responsive. My vehicle is now out of warranty and though I do my own oil, filter, brake work, for something more involved, to my surprise, I still take it to the dealership, because they have been that good to work with. read more

My first visit to this dealer was because my friend purchase a new truck. Even though I wasn't buying, the folks here treated me like family - made waiting for my friend doing his paperwork go by a lot more quickly.My friend's experience was so great, I came back when it was my turn to make a purchase. I just purchased a new vehicle from these folks, and let me just say that the experience was A++++. Like a 21st century car buyer, I knew exactly what vehicle I wanted, but we realized that the ordering window had already closed, so Leesa and Mike helped me locate one that was scheduled to be built, and commandeered the order for me. They kept me informed throughout the vehicle's journey from factory to showroom floor. They know their car aficionados, and were willing to accommodate my special requests on how I wanted the car delivered - I've had many experiences where dealers drill the front bumper even though I told them not to. The entire experience was very positive. Surprised how few car purchase reviews there are for North Bend Chevrolet here on Yelp, and seeing some of the unjustified comments, I decided to write this review, because Leesa and Mike easily deserve 5 stars! This review has been a long time coming and well deserved. I purchased a 2008 BMW X3 from Doug at North Bend Chevrolet. I had researched states that have rust-free rust cars and found the vehicle on a Craigslist ad. I called to ask some questions and received excellent customer service. I appreciated Doug so much that I closed the deal with him in a week and had the vehicle shipped to my home. Within 24 hours I had a hose burst in the cooling system due to a faulty water pump and North Bend Chevrolet helped me by covering a large sum of the repair costs. They didn't have to do that as I purchased the vehicle as is, but I was back on the road in no time. Secondly, I had recently just moved to another state and wanted to process the state taxes and title information in that state, but my purchase information had already been sent to where I previously resided. I called and asked for help with the matter and the team at North Bend went the extra mile and had my paperwork sent back to them and forwarded to the DMV at my new residence. This is for their service department. I understand that car dealership service departments can be on the high side but if someone knows how to fix their cars it should the ones selling them. I took my truck in for some general maintenance work and to diagnose and fix an engine warning light. According to the invoice I received the engine light had codes of P0455, P0442, P0573. P0455 and P0442 means that I had a vac leak. Researching the codes, a vac leak can exist in three places; gas cap (which I replaced), purge solenoid, or vent solenoid. According to my invoice they replaced the purge solenoid. They charged me 688.14 dollars to replace a purge solenoid, ridiculous. Add taxes and that cost is about 750 dollars. Labor to replace the solenoid was 451.50 dollars which included 3.5 hours of diagnostic work. It took them over three hours to figure out what was wrong, this would be so funny if I wasn't out 750 bucks. I won't be going back there again and to think I was considering buying a car there. read more

Took my truck in to get a part replaced. first off, it took over 2 months to get the part installed. Said GM didnt want to replace it And stalled. There was a service bulletin on the part and models affected. Acted like He had never heard of this issue. Thats Crap, everyone who buys these trucks, knows the intermediate steering shaft is an issue. They say they called me, a review of call logs showed otherwise. Had them change my fuel filter during my first (included) maintenance on my new diesel and they charged $175 for the filter. Told me it was because they had to remove the fender liner. The part is nowhear near the liner. its in a completely accessable location by the fuel tank. They also gouged me on the filters price. Charged me 2X what it would be on Amazon. Never felt like the service employee was being honest. There is NO WAY I can trust them for larger issues when they manipulated this small one. read more

I rarely leave reviews however this place is terrible! I took my vehicle there knowing it needed a module replacement since I had it diagnosed at an independent shop, they recommended a dealership due to programming requirements. I had it towed and even after letting them know what the problem was, they said it was the fuel pump, I was very skeptical but agreed to the $1150 fix. I had also sprung a leak, which seemed to be the sunroof drains, they said they would look at those after it was running. After delays for the parts and an additional week, I called to see the progress and was told that the problem was then the ECM... big surprise like I said to them before. No mention of additional costs so I assumed it would be close to the same or less. The next day when I received a call I was told the cost was over $1700!! Come to find out they did additional work without telling me or providing additional information. When I went in the service rep, (Frank I believe) lied about telling me until I asked if he was the one a talked to on the phone. He gave a "discount" which brought down to over $1500. After I got home still in shock I realized they didn't even give me all the papers and a couple hundred of the work they did isn't even accounted for. They left it outside and it was drenched in rainwater due to the new leak. I had to pull the carpet up and extract the water. The bottom line, they performed work I did not approve, charged for unnecessary and unknown work, and lied about it. I highly recommend staying away from this place. read more

I recently had the misfortune of having my GMC Yukon break down on the way over Snoqualmie Pass. My brother is a mechanic and he did all the diagnostics he could with what he had available, but wasn't able to figure it out completely. However, he had determined that the compression on all cylinders was good, and that the fuel pump was good. It was just running really rich and random misfire code showing up on the diagnostic tool, so it looked like a problem somewhere in the fuel system. Rather than just guessing what it could be and throwing parts at it, we decided to have it towed to this GMC accredited dealership, thinking it would be the best place to go, Boy, were we wrong. The first thing this shop told us was that they had drained the oil and found multiple shavings in it, and wanted to tear into the engine for further diagnosis. This did not make sense, since the engine had checked out good as far as compression, and had been running great just before it broke down. We decided to have it towed somewhere else for a second opinion before spending all that money. As it was, we were charged $350 for the lack of diagnosis, and in the course of explaining the bill, they slipped and told us they didn't have time to drain the oil, yet, which was the opposite of what we were told earlier as the reason for tearing into the engine. Earlier, they had told us there were shavings in the oil, and then when the bill was paid they said they hadn't even drained the oil! How could they have found shavings, then? Major untruth! After all said and done, the next place we took it to (Eastside Services in Issaquah) agreed that there was no reason to open up the engine, and ultimately diagnosed that it was the catalytic converters causing the problems, which made a lot more sense, given the symptoms. Car fixed! Bottom line: We were dealt with dishonestly by Chaplins, who appeared to be going for the most expensive fix, rather than figuring out what was really wrong, and expecting us to be gullible and go along. They didn't look at all the facts, and blatantly lied about what they "supposedly" found. I am glad my brother was around to say "wait a minute" and get a second opinion. Unless you don't mind throwing money down the drain, or being lied to, DO NOT GO TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT! I don't usually write reviews for businesses, but felt it important to warn others so they don't get taken, or even almost taken like we did. read more

I on the fence... Thinking of one star but you cant blame the whole operation for one persons last of communication. I dropped my car off and asked them to do a quick inspection because I was hearing noise (belts, steering column, etc). When I returned to pic it up the guy said it would be $125. I was thinking WTF? For what.. I did not authorization any repairs. He said that they drove the car around, found no problems but decided to rotate the tires. Buying a car without a Y chromosome is not unlike being that unfortunate animal who was lowered into the T-Rex pit in JURASSIC PARK. I try to avoid the experience. A recent purchase at Chaplins North Bend Chevrolet was surprisingly pleasant. Jimmy, Jim, and Mike were all helpful, and pleasantly non-predatory. I would recommend them to all my GFs. From the very first moment when I walked in the door until we finally ironed out the deal and I drove away, they were respectful and helpful with only a wee tad of the pressure one expects during these transactions. Most importantly, they have proven to be above-board and honest. I took one star away because it took more than a month to have the agreed-upon new radio installed AND they offered me a ridiculously low amount for my trade in, although they were willing to barter when I protested.
