Highly suggest against getting your dog groomed here…read more After Blaze's grooming appointment (which ended around 8 PM), he immediately began scratching at his head and later developed redness, discharge, and squinting in one eye. Please also note his eyes were 100% fine at drop off. Because everything was closed by the time we got home, we monitored him overnight and brought him to the vet first thing the next morning. At the vet, his eye was stained, corneal abrasions were identified and they performed a debridement. The veterinarian felt the injury was related to the grooming appointment, and Blaze was sent home with treatment and a cone. The veterinary treatment was covered by petsmart, which at minimum is what gave should have been done. I was surprised and disappointed that reimbursement of the grooming service itself was refused for multiple reasons- the injuring of my pet, the groomer doibg horrible job on the groom with patchy spots/eyelashes only trimmed on one side AND the veterinary findings and treatment being covered. For our appointment, I went to a banfield that they don't typically partner with (they partner with the one on 82nd). They kept saying they would pay for the office visit fee and if the vet deemed the injury due to the grooming, they would also pay for treatment. The vet at this location appeared visibly upset FOR me and billed it directly to them without notifying them first. If it was an appt at their partner location, I highly doubt that treatment would have been covered. What made the experience more frustrating was being told that approximately 90 minutes of footage from a 3-hour appointment had been reviewed and that no tools were used near his eye. At the same time, Blaze's eyelashes on one side -- which are normally very long -- had been trimmed down almost to the eyelid while the other side remained long. That inconsistency left me with more questions than answers. I ultimately filed a formal complaint regarding both the grooming appointment and the handling of the situation because I felt the response became more focused on defending the service than addressing the customer experience. My concern is that when a dog leaves requiring veterinary treatment, the focus should be on communication, accountability, and making it right. Do better, PetSmart.

Terrible service--this store prioritizes profit over its customers and their pets. Policies were…read morenot transparently communicated and seemed to change solely for the benefit of the storefront. Without delving too much into the specifics, the experience was frustrating due to a lack of professionalism, rushed interactions, and an overall dismissive attitude. The staff made me wait in line unnecessarily after initially assisting me, only to open another register instead of following through on resolving the issue. Despite further discussion, the employee refused to escalate the matter to a manager. I was simply trying to purchase food for my sick cats based on what was displayed in the store, yet I was made to feel like a criminal for doing so. The store is clean, well organized and has everything I need. Petco as a chain is everywhere and it's so convenient! I definitely have two "regular" locations based on proximity to where I run my errands, but if I am out and about and see a Petco and have my empty kitty litter jug in the car, I go in and fill up. Parking was not an issue. Cashiers were friendly and efficient.

When I tell you it was chaos getting them all into the car, you have NO IDEA. We even left early to get there early but still got there a little late. But since we had all 6 of them booked I figured we could at the very least have gotten 5 or even 4 seen. We struggled to load them into the store via one basket and three trips to the car. Had to buy a new leash for one because it somehow mysteriously disappeared into the backseat on the way to the store. As per usual, the front counter people in customer service were super nice. The people in the vet branch... not so much. There was one woman who was really sweet and I wished I'd gotten her name but more on her later. Throughout the visit, one of them kept coming up to me and asking questions, which is perfectly fine. "What sort of vaccinations?" I said, "all of them." I would have filled the form out online but there was some sort of glitch that wasn't letting me put them through. But I did specify the nature of the appointment online when I made it. The more she came up the more frustrated she got and even complained about one of my puppies' "secretions" onto her arm like it was the worst thing in the world. Now, mind you, there were about 5 of these women working at the vet. And they were freaking out rather quickly about my 6 puppies being too much for them. And I kinda get it. 6 puppies is a lot to deal with. But these are vets... they train for this sort of thing. Don't they? And there were 5 of them. When I left the ladies to do what they do and came back around, come to find they hadn't done anything. They were just standing around them talking. I asked if they were done with the vaccinations and they claimed they didn't know which ones to give them. Then they told me that because I was late they wouldn't be able to see ANY of the puppies and that they had to see other clients and that I would have to leave. Two in particular were really rude about it and I called one of them out on it. In that entire time they could have been giving them their vaccinations and they were just standing around talking angrily. The nice one asked if I needed help loading them back into the car and I accepted, thanking her. We spoke on the way. I told her about how the ma got pregnant because the vet I brought her to as a pup refused to spay her as she had a growth that would complicate things. And one day there was a stray dog running around our complex that I brought in. I separated them, saw a tag, called the number, and waited for a response. At one point I was taking a shower and he hopped the enclosure, and that is when it happened. But that I plan on keeping them and moving to the countryside where they can live freely and happily. I just wanted to get them all their shots first because I plan to go at the end of the month. And sometimes getting vet appointments can be tough. She understood. In any case, I always loved bringing my dogs to that store. And I won't stop. I just won't ever be using their vet services again. I wonder how professional these people really are that they can't hold themselves together under pressure, even dealing with 6 chi-mix five month old puppies. But thank you to the other staff and to the nice vet with the long black hair who was kind to me. You were much appreciated.
