This was my second time visiting this location in over a couple of years and I'm sad to report that it appears as though the service has declined after the pandemic. I was charged for things I hadn't been charged for previously and I was not informed that I would have so many additional charges. I was also shocked that they didn't know what gel-x nails were and how to remove them. I literally had to show a TikTok video on the removal process because they didn't believe me that it's just a soak off procedure. I also was charged for callus removal yet here I am with calluses and chipped toe nails. My actual acrylics are crooked and there is a gap between the tip they glued on and my actual nail. They also offer drinks both alcoholic and non alcoholic but they only had water and didn't offer any until we asked. I don't think I'll ever go here again and it's a shame that their services declined. read more

Came in from out of town with a broken nail on a fresh set. They were able to help me match the color and replace the nail while other places were trying to charge me a whole color change. So glad I didn't have to spend unnecessary money with them. They saved me! They were quick and efficient and did an outstanding job. The woman that did my nail was very kind and honest. I appreciate how she went above and beyond to help me match the color. I was in and out and able to make my flight. I highly recommend this place. very satisfied with my current nail spa, Venetian Nail Spa. Through a friend, I tried Northwoods. I did not feel valued. Service was disappointing. The technician didn't welcome or tell me his name, didn't talk just pointed to chair, didn't put chair arm down, didn't ask questions, didn't offer anything to drink or make sure I was comfortable. They are prejudiced based on ethnicity and they will make you feel unwelcome. I am sad that I tipped after being treated that way, but I knew that if I didn't tip they would treat me worse.. when I scheduled I got there that morning and noticed that they hadn't even put me on the schedule and that my nail technician had no idea that I had an appointment. They didn't even know what I wanted, but they had asked me they day before on the phone when I scheduled.. so I only got 1 service and left as soon as I could. So sad. read more

This place has changed ownership and it's awful! I noticed a lot of new technicians when I went in for a pedicure 1st off the polish was over lapping the cuticles so bad that when it grew out it looked so bad, at the time I did not know they had changed ownership, so I chalked it up to the individual that did the pedicure and decided to go again I asked for a different person--would u believe it the same thing happened but this time it was worse so I mentioned it to the new owner and he said "i think they look great" I have gone here for years but decided after this 2nd time and the "new" owners response I am not wasting my time! There are so many good nail shops in this area. I'm currently going to Pinky's and love all that they do--very nice and talented technicians! read more

Getting a nail service is a rare treat for me and my daughter these days, but we decided to indulge for a special occasion. Upon arriving we decided on pedicures for both of us and she wanted a dip powder manicure. While we were getting our pedicures we looked at the menu and I was excited that my daughter still met the 12 and under child requirement, as she's a 12 year old sixth grader. In the midst of her pedicure, I heard her technician specifically ask others that worked there if she qualified because she was twelve. When she was done with her pedi, she went to the side room and came back with tips already glued on. I specifically said dip powder three times before she went over there. I feel like we were upsold and tricked since I was far away. Sadly, despite close local, we won't be back. read more

Went in for a pedicure and shellac manicure as I have an upcoming wedding that I am a part of. When I walked in, I was greeted, and told there was a 10 minute wait, which I was fine with. They seemed busy for a Thursday evening. I was sitting maybe 2 minutes, when they said I could pick my color for my pedicure. I was impressed, basically no wait. The color selection for regular polish was great, and then they brought me two different books with the shellac colors: OPI and CND. This was the hardest part...what color do I want on my nails... I was offered a glass of wine or margarita. They have red and white wine, I went with the wine. Next time I will try the margarita. Timmie was doing my pedicure and manicure. She was very nice. I had the "Spa Pedicure" which is $35. The menu says it would last about 30 minutes, which it did. She massaged my legs, really paid attention to my heels, which needed work, and made a broken toe nail (which i had dropped something on and it split half off) look great. I was impressed. I was very relaxed after my foot and leg massage. And LOVE the color I ended up picking out. She did a great job. (To add shellac polish to your toes, its an extra $20, which I never do shellac on toes, but thought I would give a heads up.) and I never saw her set a timer... We then moved to have my shellac manicure. Same procedure. She was precise, and the hand and arm massage was a nice touch. I was there probably about an hour and a half for both. Shellac manicure was $32. She did an excellent job on both! Loved the finished product!! There were about 15 pedicure stations, 5-8 manicure stations and at least 5 stations for acrylics. The salon did not smell like the usual pungent smells of a nail salon, which I really liked. They have a rewards program too, 1 point for every $1 spent. At 500 points, you get a $20 gift certificate. I think I have definitely found my new nail salon. read more

I was in need of a good pedicure. Nothing fancy like I normally do, but my toes needed to be spring ready. I have a pros and cons list about this place. Pros: It's very clean and I love how they put fresh plastic covers so that it's only your feet that have been touched in the tub filled with water. They use new tools when they take care of your feet. They offer you beverages of water, wine, or margaritas for a more relaxed experience. They have PLENTY of pedi experiences to choose from starting at 32.00 up to 60.00. That's always a plus when you have many options to choose from. The Cons: The girl who worked on my feet kind of had an attutude. I felt like my experience was very rushed and like she had no desire to give me a good experience with my pedi. She did do a great job with the nail cutting and painting my toes, but the massage experience on my feet and legs left little to be desired. I'll definitely come back here but use another person to take care of my pedicure. read more

That was by far the worst mani pedi I've ever had. The man who did my nails first of all, cut my cuticles off AFTER I politely requested he didn't. I went with a friend and so I was chatting with her and not watching every single thing he did. The gentleman that did my friend's mani pedi was very nice and offered her water and apologized for getting her jeans wet. The man who did mine, didn't even ask if I wanted water which is not the end of the world and I normally don't particularly mind but the customer service I received was so poor that it stands out. After he finished my pedicure which was fairly standard with the exception of him cutting my cuticles off after I asked him not to, it was time for my shellac. I have never had a shellac manicure done in a salon so I didn't know all the steps and he wasn't very explanatory about it even when I asked. He threw the color books onto the counter and just said "pick" and then walked away. I chose my color and then asked him AGAIN to NOT cut my cuticles off (I prefer to leave them on, it's just a person preference) and he began the manicure. I was still talking to my friend and not watching everything he did, until he cut my cuticles off of my fingers, then proceeded to actually cut me. I didn't notice until I felt myself start bleeding. He didn't apologize, he didn't put alcohol on it to make sure it was clean, he just muttered swear words under his breath. Then after he did the manicure which seems standard with the exception of him not respecting me wanting to leave my cuticles on AND cutting me, my friend and I left. A few days later my manicure was ALREADY lifting. I will say that I work a lot with my hands, but it should last more than a few days! My manicure is completely gone at this point and it's been about a week. Shellac is supposed to last longer than one week! By far the worst customer service I've ever received in a salon here and I will not be returning. read more

I had the $40 Deluxe Pedicure this afternoon. I took these photos when I got home. As you can see my feet do not look smooth and soft. The girl spent more time massaging my legs than smoothing the bottom of my feet. I even had to tell her to remove the calluses and dead skin from the bottom of my heels because she didn't do it and she was already applying lotion to them. It was my first time getting my nails done here and I can definitely say that I will be coming back! My nails were done by William and they turn out amazing! He didn't just do an amazing job with my nails, he also provided an amazing service throughout our time there. As soon as we sat down at his table, he offered us drinks which we kindly decline. My boyfriend was sitting next to me while I was getting my nails done, but he couldn't stand the smell and the fume and so William grabbed and offered my boyfriend a mask to wear, which was nice of him to do. I went to this place for the 1st time and they did me in quickly on a weekend and my technician was nice and very thorough until I have to pay. I was only doing a gel pedi and ask the technician how much for a mani with regular polish and he said $20 so I'm good with that. Get to the register and they charge me $75 for pedi which is about $15 higher than my regular salon (they were super busy today) and $38 for my mani! Almost double what he quoted me. He proceeds to say he did a gel polish which didn't know he was using gel polish since I did not request that. Anyway, this is why I hate going to new salons. I have my go -to nail salon I always go to but my nail lady was on vacation and I needed a pedi and full set done yesterday. Greeted when I walked in an hour and a half before closing, got a lavender scrub pedicure which wasn't too bad. She offered me wine or water or soda twice which I respectfully decline (I just came from lunch) What I liked most was the tech wasn't rushing and doing a crappy job since they were closing in an hour. Next my acrylic.- they came out perfect! A man did my nails and he took his time. He was patient. I left the nail salon about an hour after closing. I've been a regular there for a while. I typically make an appointments and am taken care of. I called and made an appointment with Steve this weekend and when I went in for my appt Steve was busy. I was seated by Tao and she started my polish change. I didn't want to make a big deal about it so I just let her take care of me. She handed me my bill and I asked her to explain the charges because it seemed a bit high. Like I said I go there often. She told me there was a $10 charge to trim my nails. I explained that I've never received this charge before. Steve was sitting next to us and I looked over to him. He just shrugged. Tao said "He doesn't charge you for that. But I do." The establishment appeared to be sanitary. They put liners in the foot spas. I was not offered any of the drinks. I had a new set of acrylics put on and a pedicure. My bill was almost $100 with tip. At one week, my pinky nail came off for no reason, the next day I lost two more nails. I ended up removing the remainder of the naiils and have to find another salon. Totally unsatisfactory. read more
