I love this place. The mushroom risotto is divine and the ambiance is just perfectly Omaha Old Market.

My family and I came here for my 21st birthday and were so happy with the choice to eat here. There wine and cocktail menu is extensive with options for everyone - I loved the blueberry mimosa and they have seasonal cocktails as well (my mom has the PSL cocktail and a seasonal mule). We chose to get a bunch of dishes and share and none of them disappointed. We had the Mac and cheese with duck, the shrimp and scallops covered in butter and havarti, the bacon maple Brussels sprouts, and the pear, bacon, and Brie flatbread. We all also had individual half salads which had a delicious dressing and earthy flavors. The portion sizes were very good and yet we were still able to eat all of it because it was so delicious we didn't want to stop eating! Our server was also very attentive and helpful with the menu. The ambiance is great, they had decorated for Christmas. This would be an amazing first date spot! There are table options and couch/cozy seating options. Went for an early dinner alone on a work trip. Had a nice glass of Sauvignon Blanc, truffle fries, French onion soup and the duck tacos. The ambiance is great! Lively and cozy all in one. Was there with a large group a month ago. We were all surprised how flustered and slow the bar staff was. They are not ready for high volume yet. Drinks were great, but service was average at best. We walked in at 5:15 on a Friday evening to a virtually empty restaurant. The "very important" host informed us that all the tables were reserved and that we could sit at the bar. Stunned we made our way to the bar. After one overpriced glass of wine served by a bartender more interested in discussing sports with the wait staff than making conversation with clientele we left. Nearly all the tables were still empty with reserved signs on them. Wanted to express my concern to management but no obvious manager on site. Poor business model and surly staff don't warrant ever going back. Go to M's or Jackson St Tavern. read more

Never Again. 3 Strikes and out We used to be loyal visitors to Nosh. But our last 3 visits have been very disappointing. We won't go back ever again. The food and service has steadily gone downhill. The bar staff has become arrogant and inattentive. And the food and beverage prices have gone up a lot over time. On our most recent visit, the bar staff took a long while to even notice us, took way too long to serve us, and then never made eye contact thereafter. When we were ready to pay and leave, the bar staff disappeared for 10 minutes. Upon returning, they again made no eye contact. We had money in hand and were ready to cash out, but no service. We waited so long that we were ready to just walk out. The bar tenders engaged in conversation among themselves. We finally got a bartenders attention, and eventually paid - but left no tip. As we were leaving, the bartender was flipping us off. I turned around just in time to see this. Arrogant and immature. Never again for us. And we will be sure to remind all of our friends and family to avoid this place too. Even 1 star is too high. read more

If your objective for going to Nosh is eating... move on. Stopped in during Berkshire weekend, and waited close to an hour for our food when the place was sparsely filled. After 45 minutes, I asked the waitress about our order (table of 4) and instead of being apologetic about the excessive wait, she was defensive. After another 10 minutes, we asked the owner about the excessive delay, and were given a lame excuse about 1 cook, crowds, etc. REALLY?! A total embarrassment to our city to have this kind of service and lack of hospitality in a place so close to a major venue. Don't go if you're hungry! read more

We wanted to have an early dinner before going to a downtown concert later that evening, so we made reservations months in advance. The day of the event we received a phone call from the restaurant saying that they could not honor our reservation due to a wedding reception. All of the other venues in the area were booked solid and we were forced to completely change our plans. I am very disappointed with the quality of customer service that Nosh provided, as they clearly knew about the scheduling conflict well before the day of the reservations. I stopped in for a late dinner in February and while I loved the atmosphere and the food was good, the service was definitely the weak link here. The woman serving us was not very knowledgeable about the menu. After we ordered, she came back to the table to tell me that they were out of the vegetable I ordered because the chef thought it was a few days too old so he thought he should throw it out. The back story didn't engender a lot of confidence in the quality of the ingredients. I'll give it a try again and am really hoping for a more polished experience next time. read more

Went to Nosh for the second or third time and was reminded why I keep coming back! The space always looks great, the service is prompt and kind, plus the wine selection and food are to die for! I had the Rosemary Salmon with a great white and my husband had the filet with a great shiraz. Both great options, and the staff are very knowledgeable when it comes to wine pairings. Hi! My husband and I were in town visiting family and went to dine at your restaurant. We brought my mother in law, brother in law and his wife, and another couple who are close friends. I have to say, I was blown away! Not only is the restaurant a hidden gem in the city, inside the ambiance was perfect. We came in Fourth of July weekend. The bartender immediately sat us and took his time explaining the wine menu and making suggestions which was great since we had never been there before and had a lot of questions. I personally have worked in restaurants as a server all the way up to management for the last 15 years, so I appreciated the time he took to tend to the group and not once did he seem put out or annoyed! After he had taken care of our drinks and put in our apps, another server came over to finish our table. She was extremely helpful, to me especially- she recommended this phenomenal pear martini that was the bast one I've ever had. I don't remember her name, but she was pregnant if that helps! For apps we had the mussels, flatbreads, steak crustinies?! (However that's spelled), and spinach dip. The portions were great, everything tasted delicious! Then William, the chef, came out and chatted with our table and actually he delivered the apps himself. He was so friendly and the food was to die for. We had ordered so much as appetizers that when I told him we all had decided to order more food the look on his face was priceless! Out came the sliders and salads and more steak crustinies- needless to say we basically had to be rolled out of there! I know that so often in the restaurant business you only hear about the bad, the not so good, etc. I just wanted to let you know that everything about our experience was perfect. Each person that we interacted with contributed to the amazing experience we had that day. A special thanks to the chef, William, who's food truly blew everyone away. I seriously used to love this place. When I lived downtown I would visit at least once every two weeks. Good food, good drinks and good service. Hosted my birthday party here as well. When I moved and returned, I had the worst restaurant service I had ever had. My fiancée and I went with another couple and a friend before a UNO hockey game. We were seated promptly and the waitress took our drink orders. No issue. Everyone else ordered entrees and I ordered an appetizer of the mussels for dinner. Everyone's order came out together. My mussels came out but had the wrong sauce. They took them back. Came back again with a huge hair in the middle of the mussels. Took me forever to find the waitress and sent them back. The last time the mussels came back frozen solid. Waitress was nowhere to be found. Had to go the bar to get someone to take my food back. Keep in mind the owner was just chilling at the front of the restaurant. When I finally found the waitress, she asked if I wanted a different plate of mussels. By this time everyone was done with their food and the hockey game had already started. Food was comped but no apology. Waitress asked us to come back for happy hour. Had the Valentines special. The lobster was like rubber, the steak like shoe leather and the French onion soup I imagined was like licking a salt block. The wine was fine but overpriced like the food. This establishment gets a 2 rating because the wait staff was attentive and carefully avoided asking about the food. A Fantastic Experience! I was having a hard time deciding where would be a good place to go with 12 ladies. A friend recommended Nosh and she was right! I did make a reservation for a Friday night and we were running late. When I called they were very accommodating. When we arrived not only was the atmosphere, food and drink wonderful but the best part was our wonderful waiter! It is somewhat rare anymore to get fabulous service and GREAT food and drink. Really bad service and hardly anyone there on a Wed night. Had the Spinach and Artichoke dip. Omg the salt will kill you. Terrible. Didn't get a good feeling upon arrival. No welcome, flagged a young woman down and she rather snobby asked if we had a reservation. Told us we could try to find a seat in the lounge. We grabbed a recently vacated table and our luck changed. Jessica was our server and she was wonderful. As busy as she was she took great care of us. Absolutely wish this place was closer to me, I would be here all the time. Had a wonderful experience. Friend and I stopped in last Saturday after the show at CenturyLink Center, was seated in bar lounge. Our amazing waitress - can't remember her name!! - was what made this special. She had a fun, bubbly personality. I promptly ordered a bottle of champagne been wanting to try. As the bar cleared out, she stopped by to chat about wine. She asked if we had tried a certain type of champagne, we had not, so she gave us a free mini bottle of it to try. Then my friend, who is a big scotch and whisky fan, is chatting with the bartender, who gives her a sample of Chinese scotch to try. At this point, the group sitting next to us leaves all huffy since they are not getting free stuff. Only thing I am bummed about is that we had already ate so I couldn't try the yummy-sounding food. I have been all over this country and have had steaks in amazing restaurants from San Diego, CA to New York and this is the best steak I have ever had for its price. I was there in mid November with a group of ten. Our group left very happy, buzzing about the food, the wine, the service and the atmosphere. We went there to watch the Husker/Wisconsin football game because all the other bars were packed.. We had so much fun. Service was terrible!! We had a party of 20. Reservations were made a month in advance and were told we would have the private room off the lounge area. We discussed in advance that we would have individual checks with the person taking the reservations. Our party arrives on March 15th at 7:30 which was our reserved time to find out the private room was already occupied and it didn't even hold 20 people!! Therefore we had to be seated at various tables in the lounge. Not what we wanted at all. The waiter came around to take our drink orders. He would take 3 to 4 at time and fill those and come back and ask if he could help us with something else! We said the rest of the orders! wow. The other part of our group were on sofa's and chairs in another area and this same waiter was theirs as well. Water was not brought out when we got there, we had to ask for it and then we were bluntly told it will be a while for him to get waters for 20 people. Even after asking some did not get their water and no refills were offered. After we were there for about 45 minutes, one of our party stopped the manager as he was walking by and asked if he would take our orders. I directed him to the others of our group in the different area and told him those orders were with ours as well. The original waiter came running over and said he didn't know we were in a hurry!!!! Snide comments by the waiter could be heard by our party the rest of the night. The orders were all placed. Food was good, but overpriced for what we got. One in the party got a 1/2 salad and it wasn't even the size of a side salad at other restuarants. The flatbreads were good. After 2 1/2 hours and a major mess up of the bills with food being put on others bills we finally were able to leave. Discussion with held with the manager and it was obvious he didn't care. He was over at the bar watching the Creighton game which in a positive note we got to watch all of. Very terrible service. If this restuarant can't hold a party of 20, then tell them. if you don't want to take individual orders on larger parties, then tell people it's not allowed. Please staff waiters who can handle bigger groups when you know they are coming in. Over all a very unpleasant experience. read more

Was in town from Scottsdale and stopped over at this cool wine bar. There is great ambiance in the place! Wall hangings and lighting are very chic. The owner is on site and was friendly and welcoming. The Bar Manager was very knowledgable and the waiters were also accommodating. Food was great and there was a nice wine selection. I live in the neighborhood and stop into Nosh with some frequency. I echo what many have said. My only caveat would be they hire pretty boy bartenders to cater to the older women. Other than being pretty they're lame as bartenders. They don't check on drinks. They don't offer food. But that's likely not why they were hired. So if you go, bring a cougar. Driving across the country, I totally just stumbled into this place. Lunch was a great pick me after a morning of boring farm land. I had amazing crab cakes in Omaha, NE! We had never been to Nosh, so we decided to take my mother in law and our 6 month old out to dinner for Omaha Resturant Week. It was pretty busy when we got there, but we never felt rushed. Our waitress was very nice and professional. She even offered chopped tomatoes for our little one. The food, however, was pretty basic, bland and I unimaginative- not at all what we were expecting. The big turn off for us was at the end of the night when a gal in shorts, boots, and a tank top (who appeared to be drunk) came around and asked if she could hold our baby. She said her "grandbaby" was no longer a baby. My husband immediately said no. She seemed surprised and then asked me the same thing. I also said no. She eventually left our table, and we realized she worked at the restaurant! She then started giggling with the hostess and walking/skipping all around the main isle (between the booths and tables). We had a fine time, but were made uncomfortable by this one person. I'm doubt we would go back, and definitely wouldn't go back with our baby. read more

Where should I start? First off when my wife and I arrived at Nosh we were greeted by a huge cloud of smoke, it seemed very unprofessional the manager and someone from the kitchen I assume one of the chefs were smoking right in front of the restaurant. Not a good first impression! Besides that we were greeted and welcomed by a friendly hostess, seated fast and had water and menus in a timely fashion. Such a let down with the food quality and the presentation was very poor, I almost felt bad saying it but someone should tell them. I had a recommendation to get the nosh board it's their version of a charcuterie board. This was a joke or someone thought it was a good idea,the portions of some items didn't make sense we prolly had more of what we didn't like than what we did. Such a let down and sloppy to say the least. Service was really good I believe our servers name was Krystal seemed knowledgeable and was sorry for our many inconveniences. The wine selection was great as well as other beer from local micro brews! But I guess nothing on tap? Back to the food or should we not? I ordered the steak the only thing good about it was the sauce they put on it, maybe it was the cut I received but it was tenderloin and it was tough. My wife had a salad add salmon, salmon was cooked perfectly but not many toppings and very oily dressing and this was her main entree.
