The inside decor is amazing, like it literally feels like you're in Japan- wooden interior with masks on the wall and Japanese writing. So beautiful inside. Parking is also limited with very few in the back of the building and some in the front. They have a custom where everyone greets you as you're coming in also which makes it feel even more welcoming. I came back to 2 of my regular orders: - Shrimp Tempura Bun: The shrimp tempura came out so crisp and the bun altogether with the green onion and filling bought it all completely together. Such a solid bun. -Shoyu Truffle Ramen: I don't eat pork so I wanted something not pork based- they do have a few options but this is the one I keep coming back to. Pretty solid ramen- the noodles are not overcooked and the combination of all the ingredients is thought provoking- I literally thought about their art of finding all the flavors and perfectly combining them together into this ramen bowl midway through eating this ramen. The tempura mushrooms is such a nice touch and even as it becomes soaked in the soup it still has such a nice taste to it. Overall a solid ramen spot- I definitely recommend.

My culinary influences were always affected by various ethnic cuisines. We live in the most culturally diverse area in the country. I do not eat sushi, but it is my wife's comfort food so I always say yes because our local place makes a very good chicken katsu. They do not make katsu curry which is one of my comfort foods. Everytime we order, I make curry sauce for the chicken. Tonight I had the BEST Katsu Curry (technically I got the Kaarage Curry). Holy crap it was so good. Japanese curries are not spicy, they tend to be a bit sweeter because of carrots and usually grated apple or honey for sweetness. The balance on that sauce was spot on perfect. The Kaarage (Japanese Fried Chicken thighs) was the perfect match for this curry. Exceptional!!! My wife got the fresh grilled eel over rice. She absolutely loved it. There is something about rice when it is perfectly cooked. This was no exception. My wife who is cutting back carbs ate every grain of rice in bowl. I havent seen her do that in years. I first heard about Youta because of their ramen. It did not disappoint. I judge ramen on its broth. This was silky, rich, a bit garlicky and porky liquid goodness. I prefer a slightly thicker noodle but I cant fault them. The noodles had the right amount of chew that separates the really good from meh. The bamboo shoots were a very happy surprise. The jammy egg was perfection. Damn I really love this place. We did not have the Baos but they looked amazing as they came out of the kitchen. They do not take reservations but there is an app for the waiting list. That was a very pleasant surprise at how easy and functional it was. You have 5 minutes to respond to the text and if you are not there in 10 minutes, they wipe your spot. Glad they have hot sauces on the table to bring need heat. I got a side salad with this - I would say this is bit of afterthought lettuce with 3 pieces of cucumber and tomato each there wasn't much to it. I tried the Carne Asada bowl - again a bit on the sweet side, but they give a good amount of food. They use a cheese blend and I think one of them is a parmesan because it tasted a bit out of place. We ordered a piece of tres leches and it had a maple flavor that was unexpected. It took me a second, but I placed that it reminded me of a discontinued Entenmann's cake that I think was maple walnut iced cake. If you remember that and miss it then get this. I enjoyed this non-traditional version.
