Wow! This place is amazing. The food is authentic, delicious, and beautiful! I absolutely loved the avocado salad. The owner is so sweet! I can't wait to go back and try the fig toast and pear salad.

Y'ALL! Everything is delicious. The service made you feel like you were guests at someone's house. The atmosphere was charming and culturally appealing, reflecting Morocco and its owner's passion for the country and of course, the food. We did not drink any cocktails but they all looked amazing! We had the following: - Moroccan Spiced Coffee. This comes with a steamed milk you can pour in and a small date cookie. I loved it both black and with the milk! The cookie was not overly sweet and was a good pallet starter. Not sure of the caffeine content, fyi. 9.5/10 - Sheep in a Blanket. A lamb sausage in some of the flakiest phyllo dough sprinkled with black sesame seeds. Tasty but I wish there was a dip of some sort. You get 2 per order. 8/10 - Chicken on the bone Tagine with Prunes and Apricots. Big enough for two people to share. Comes with their Moroccan bread to help sop it up( do not leave a drop of that sauce behind!) No further notes other than YUMMMMMMMMMMM. PS- you can ask for a little extra sauce. 10/10 - Rfissa. Chicken on the bone, lentils, and phyllo fried bread. Big enough for two people to share. Yum yum yum yum. I added just a dash of the seasoned salt from the table but it was so comforting and delicious. 8.5/10 - Pistachio Cake drizzled with chocolate syrup and a split strawberry. We shared this because we were already getting full but it's small enough to where you could have your own and not be overwhelmed. This was not overly sweet and was the perfect finale to this amazing eating experience. 9/10 Overall, we weren't disappointed by anything and the owner was at the front and back of the house, greeting everyone and checking in. Love that they are open late too! We weren't disappointed already planning what to get next time before she brought us the check. This place is PHENOMENAL and I highly recommend.

Know BEFORE you go. Credits cards are taboo here. Bring cash or a debit card. Don't ask for a diet coke. However, healthy beer, wine and mixed drinks are available. Service is minimal, but adequate. The restaurant is clean and comfortable, decorated with Moroccan/Arabic/Islamic mosaic wall art. The tables are decorated in the same colorful motif of faux tile decals. Some type of Arabic opera was playing on the big screen. Pictures and reviews showcase various unique artisan meals, and some meals are basic home cooking with a flavorful Moroccan spin. Start your day with a Moroccan or Turkish breakfast. Have a colorful fruity salad for brunch. Meals likely influenced by a mix of Arab and Berber ethnic heritage. And try the coffee. My wife did and it was good. Our dining experience was limited to the entrée page of the menu. Two versions offered, Pastila and Tajine. The beef and chicken Pastila descriptions were tempting, but meat and sweet doesn't work for me. Tajine it will be. No lamb today, so beef and chicken tajine will be lunch. Tajine, meals cooked and served under those funny little ceramic teepees. Grandma's roast chicken and pot roast style beef stew. You have a choice of options to augment the meat flavors. Caramelized prunes and apricots, or preserved lemons and olives. I never pass up preserved lemons and olives. That was for me, on the beef. Prunes and apricots on my wife's roast chicken. Both meals served with a small loaf of bread. My bowl was filled with a very liberal serving of beef. A portion well worth the $22 at today's beef prices. Tasty, very basic meals of bread and meat. This is a rare opportunity to sample Moroccan cuisine. Try it! When it came time to pay, we had a dilemma. Only credit cards were to be found in my wallet. My personal pecuniary ideology does not condone use of a debit cards and considers there use a stigma. In the future, a sign on the front door stating the restaurant's preference of payment would be helpful to the patrons.

The portions are generous, perfect for sharing, and the staff is more than happy to guide you if you're unsure what to try. You can tell the owner poured her heart into creating a place where people can connect over food, and it shines through. If you're in Tulsa and looking for something fresh, soulful, and delicious, put Notes of Marrakesh at the top of your list.

Slow food at its finest! Come here when you're not in a hurry, you're catching up with friends, and want fresh/delicious Moroccan food. We came on a Friday right when they opened. The owner is so sweet and genuine. She welcomed us in as she was turning all the lights on. After looking at the menu, she answered all of our questions. The puffy pizza is an appetizer but she told us it might take longer than our entrees since they had just turned the oven on. We didn't mind so we got that along with our main dishes: the pear salad and the harira soup. The pear salad was beautifully presented with raspberry vinaigrette, cherry tomatoes, sliced almonds, and lots of blueberries. If you like lentils and chickpeas, you'll like the harira soup. It's served with the most delicious bread. Highly recommend! We would've ordered dessert too but we were full after the puffy pizza, which is a must try! Will be back to try their breakfast, drinks and dessert! The space itself is simple yet beautiful. The tile decor adds ambiance and the dishes are so pretty. They had Arabic music playing, which added to the experience. At one point, I had to ask for water. The owner seemed to be doing all the heavy lifting so I didn't mind having to do that. Can't wait to go again.

After hearing about this place from one of the FB groups, I asked my friend to join me. She was so impressed with the menu and the food. Location: The place can be a little difficult to find because there is no sign over the door but there is a sign in front of the door where there is outdoor seating. There is free parking behind the building. Decor: super colorful and beautiful Menu: everything sounded good We started with the Moroccan tea (mint) which is always delicious and I also got the Orange cinnamon orange blossom drink which was delicious, refreshing and unique with its floral flavors. We ordered the lamb in a blanket which was delicious lamb sausage in a crispy, buttery pastry dough. So yummy! We ordered the lentil soup (I think it may have had a specific name but I cannot remember exactly what it was called) which was so hearty and delicious- had figs in it which was a lovely surprise for my taste buds. We ordered the chicken tajine which was also delicious. The dish came with homemade bread but we added the noodles which were a beautiful combination of savory and sweet. The service was great except for when we went to pay, the owner(?) did not like that we wanted to charge the meal instead of use debit. Otherwise, we enjoyed ourselves and the delicious food. We would love to come back and try more items on the menu.

A one-of-a-kind restaurant in Tulsa (and maybe all of Oklahoma) with incredible Moroccan cuisine. We had chicken tajin and chicken pastilla, both were delightful combinations of sweet and savory. Apricots! Almonds! Sesame! To drink we had fresh juice and smoothies. Truly amazing. Food is not made until you order so do you expect a bit of a wait but it is well worth it. We learned from the owner they are opening a Moroccan bathhouse which we will definitely check out.

This was one of the best and most memorable meals I've had in the past year. Everything is prepared fresh, and the balance of flavors is unmatched. I haven't had better lamb anywhere in Tulsa. Although it took a bit of time to get our food, the wait was absolutely worth it. This restaurant has my highest recommendation.

Phenomenal food, as well as service. I definitely recommend the Lamb with blueberries! The salad was so perfect and the vibe was so nice inside!

First time to NOM and it was amazing! My wife and I took my Mom & Dad for our weekly date night. From the time we walked in, it felt like a family place. Delicious. I've walked past so many times and finally made it in for dinner tonight. You can tell everything is made fresh in-house. Even the Magic Drink, you can tell is fresh squeezed orange juice. The husband and I had the Lamb Tajine tonight. With the homemade whole wheat bread we were perfectly full. The owner is so kind and conversational. This was my 1st visit to Marrekesh though I've been wanting to go there for some time now due to good reviews. They didn't misrepresent. The food is wonderful. My friends and I visited for a late lunch last week. Two of us had the lamb tangine, one had the meatball stew, and the other had the burger. The blend of spices used in all the dishes is so subtle and enhances the flavors of the fresh vegetables and fruits used. Most of the herbs used in the dishes are homegrown in the Chef's home garden. The lamb was so tender. You can cut it with a fork and the meatballs as well. The bread is homemade and is the just made for dipping in the delicious sauces. It benefits from the softening effect of the sauce. My friend with the burger said it was really chewy and a bit hard to eat as a burger bun. The restaurant has a small outdoor patio but we ate inside and enjoyed the colorful mosaic tiles and wall hangings. The serving pieces are authentic Moroccan and add to the authenticity of the dining experience. Our server, Phillip, was attentive and friendly. The chef herself helped explain some of dishes and taught us about how meals are served and enjoyed in the Arab home. All together it was an outstanding culinary experience and I can't wait to return. read more

If there is an option for negative, I'd give that. We visited this restaurant looking forward to a good meal, but left feeling hurt and unwelcome. Our experience was unfortunately overshadowed by what felt like discriminatory treatment. While our food order was taken within about 20 minutes of arriving, no one ever came to take our drink order--despite multiple attempts to get the server's attention. At one point, another staff member even appeared to point out to him that we were waiting, yet he still never approached us. He took orders for folks who came after us and promptly served them. What made it more disappointing was the noticeable difference in attitude from the server who took our food order--her tone and body language toward us were markedly different from how she interacted with other tables. What was the last straw for us to leave the place without food was we saw food arrive for another couple who came right after us being served. It's disheartening and unacceptable to feel like you're being treated differently because of your skin color. Based on our experience, I cannot in good conscience recommend this restaurant to anyone who values fairness, dignity, and equal treatment. read more

This was the first time we've been to this restaurant or any Moroccan restaurant for that matter. Our expectations were high due to the ratings, but our expectations were exceeded. We had the Harira soup and chicken pastilla. The food was fantastic. The service and ambiance were top notch as well. New location! It's now called Notes of Marrakech and located at 3rd and Trenton. It was beautiful out today so we decided to try a new place at 3rd and Trenton, across from the Church Studio. This is Notes of Marrakech and we just grabbed a few appetizers and Moroccan coffees. We had the puffy burger, pizza, and lamb sausage rolls. They have a pretty big menu so we went with some relatively safe choices. Their food comes out super hot so be ready ! Our host/server was probably also the owner and she was so sweet and kind to us. I want to come back and try more things, but honestly the people are just so nice in there, I want to support them anyway. It's pretty rare for me to review after a first visit, but in all fairness, this was actually a second visit for me. The woman running this place did a pop-up at Mother Road Market and I remembered how much I really liked what I had there. A couple of weeks ago this was the Food Dude's Snack Shack. I saw a FB post from him pushing the Moroccan Burger from here and deduced that he's moved back out to West Tulsa and Drive-thru Marrakesh has taken his spot on Sheridan. I came thru to try the burger but when I saw the lamb cooked with lemon and olives I knew I was going to have to try that. While waiting she sampled me a couple of her cream cheese cigars and they were most excellent (she makes her own cream cheese). The lamb was phenomenal as was her homemade bread. The bread is made with olive oil and olives with no added salt (which is great for old farts like me). I haven't had much in the way of Moroccan food but I promise you as long as she's there I will DEF be back for the breakfast and drinks and eventually the burger. The woman who runs this place enthusiastically puts her heart and soul into her food and it shows. Get over here and give it a try before she gets too busy! read more

Drive-thru Marrakesh has moved to a new location with dine-in space so I came to update my review. The new location, now called Notes of Marrakesh, can be found at 315 S Trenton Ave, across the street from The Church Studio. They just soft opened this week. The food was fantastic, as always! We brought some friends along for this visit, and they thoroughly enjoyed it. Between the four of us, we ordered the cream cheese cigars and lamb in a blanket for appetizers, the pear salad, the lamb tajine special, and the seafood pastilla special (x2). Service could be a little slow as it's still only the owner Sovana and one other person doing everything, but the food is worth the wait. I cannot recommend this place enough! read more

This restaurant has the most gorgeous and delicious food. Made from scratch with the freshest ingredients. The building is tiny but don't let that fool you because the woman running this restaurant has a big heart and pride for her Morrocan dishes. You can definitely taste the love in this food. I'm so happy there is now Moroccan food in Tulsa. All of the food and drinks I've tried are delicious. Sovana is awesome and will make you feel right at home. Plus, she specializes in allergen friendly meals and can tell you what contains gluten, dairy, etc. All of the Tajines are GF, and she makes her own GF bread for those who need it. Tried for the first time last night and everything was incredible. We had the puffy pizza, apricot prune chicken, cream cheese cigars and the pineapple coconut lemon drink. Also had the baklava for dessert which I don't normally enjoy but was absolutely divine and tasted like a puff pastry peanut butter honey roll. Then when someone needs a meal they can go in and grab one off the board. They offer them their lunch special. While I was there I saw a very grateful individual come in and get a meal. Their version has grape tomatoes on it and I think they used shredded mozz instead of sliced fresh mozz. IYKYN. Some basil on top, which is good. I look forward to trying the other pies.

The menu was pretty long and staff seemed friendly. Cons: majority of the staff only spoke Spanish so didn't get to have much conversation about the menu. It also took a while for someone to take my order and also give me the check once I was done . I would def try again . I had a chicken Arepa with cheese and the peach tea. The arepa was good, I liked the sweet corn breading although it could've use some sauce on top to bring the flavors together . The tea was amazing .

I ordered the pabelllon arepa and it was delicious. The fried plantains give you that slight sweetness and depth that the other arepas do not. I also had the carne asada arepa, which was ok. I didn't love the chunks of beef in it because I thought it lacked flavor. Anyway, for the price and the large portions = thumbs up in my book!

This place is incredible. I went once with a group of my work friends and got to try almost everything. It was all good. Prepare in traditional Moroccan style, the food is the best. Smoothies are incredible as well, so treat the kids to one, they are all freshly made! Took my wife here as well who looooooves food and she wouldn't stop talking about it. Such a good place and Sovanah, the owner, is amazing as well. read more

I really enjoyed my experience at Notes of Marrakesh. I ordered the Lamb Tagine and Pear salad both were so flavorful, fresh and tasted amazing. Everything from the ambiance, service and meal was a 10/10! I am so excited we have a Moroccan restaurant here in Tulsa. Put this restaurant on your Must Try List! read more

The food here is fantastic!!! The menu has a wide variety of choices. Breakfast, appetizers, main dishes, salads and sandwiches, desserts, and Moroccan drinks! The prices are very reasonable. read more
