As I was speaking to a female employee about the flavor, The gentleman employee in the store said to us "let's take this conversation over there" motioning to the other counter that already had customers, then proceeded to help his customer. This place was kinda hard to find and we were having a hard time finding it. The owners/workers were so nice. It was almost closing time but they said that they would wait for us. We finally found the place and it was still crowded. There were 3 people inside the store, another 2 customers coming and 2 more after that. The workers didn't rush anyone. Nothing Bundt Cake is no joke! These yummy tasty cake stores are popping up in a lot of locations. I literally have 2 stores within 5 miles from my office in opposite directions. Thank goodness its not any closer becuz these are freaking addicting. My first night I bought the prepackaged ones that include Chocolate, Red Velvet, Lemon and White White Chocolate for $18.75. The next night I did a mix and match of my own dozen which takes about 10 min or so to put the frosting on them and box them up for you. I pretty much followed the prepackaged but added Marbel and reduced the lemon and white. The size of the bundtinis are probably the size of half your typical larger gourmet cupcakes. Perfect size that you can eat in 2-3 bites or one big one if your mouth is big enough. Note these bundtinis are not for individual sale. No seriously...five stars for what it is. And what it is destroys any cupcake shop! You want to stand in line for overly dry cupcakes with gobs of sickly sweet topping? Knock yourself out. But you will be missing out on a far superior dessert (albeit at a buck more than you are used to paying). I purchased several flavors for a BBQ...white chocolate raspberry, lemon cake, chocolate chip, red velvet with chocolate chips, marble...all cakes were perfectly moist with a perfect cake to frosting ratio. Subtler and more complex than a cupcake, and actually, the mini bundt cakes are substantial enough for two so that at $4.49 a slightly better deal than most overpriced cupcake shops. I had mine with beer from local micro brewery The Bruery but I'm sure milk or coffee would be a far better accompaniment :) If you love desserts, get thee to Nothing Bundt Cakes stat! I had to be in Tustin today and was all set to go to their Costa Mesa location afterwards, but was pleasantly surprised to find that they've opened up their newest location at The District. The store is cute, but really tiny. You can basically stand in the doorway and see everything. They had free samples of the red velvet bundt cakes with cream cheese frosting on each bite size cube. The cake was moist and the cream cheese frosting, while thick, was delicious. But I wasn't wowed by the red velvet so I got the Cinnamon Swirl bundtlet instead. I was gonna save it for dessert after dinner, but I couldn't control myself! I dug in as soon as I got home. The website says a bundtlet is good for 2 people. Are you kidding me?! I gobbled that thing up in no time all by myself! I really enjoyed this one. I love cinnamon and this did not disappoint. It kind of tastes like a Cinnabon. Was in the area to visit my nephew and niece and thought I'd bring em some treats for when they get outta school - First I was disappointed that there was no discount for checking in on Yelp. Then there was no discount for checking in on Foursquare. Bummer - cuz I got a discount at the Manhattan beach location. The employee there was really nice and helpful. Give me lots of info and recommendations. Well I decided to go with the mini bundtinis. I didn't want to wait so I just got what was already made. The cakes were good and moist. Although I'm not such a fan of the frosting - its thick and gross like the frosting on the Sprinkles cupcakes (that stuff is overrated if you ask me).
