Ron showed up for the first appointment and charged us over $400 up front for 2 months of services. set rodent traps and only came back once to check them. Was supposed to show up every week then he flaked twice. When we tried texting and calling, we get a text reply a day later saying he had jury duty. First he said the chemicals he needed to use were in back order, then he said he lost both our phone numbers. He did not showed up to the second part of the treatment and since then is not returning my calls or e-mails. We have kids to feed and $180 represented a whole week of meals. I found this place on google maps when I searched the nearest pest control companies near my house (it didn't show up when Yelping "pest control" nearby locations). Anyway, i spoke to about 6 or 7 different pest control companies and Ron was the only person who didn't sound arrogant over the phone and answered all of my questions without attitude. You have to expect people calling you to have 100 questions because they don't know what they're getting into. Anyway, Ron is super knowledgable and friendly. He is the owner of the company and has a lot of experience. He did exactly what we asked him to do, which was exterminate the bird mites we found in our house. We loved that he has a 6 month guarantee, and he comes out several times to treat the infestation to completion. He even works with your busy work schedule to accommodate to you. He seems honest too - he didn't try to sell me on a monthly subscription for a full year, and doesn't try to scam me to buy additional services I don't really need. I thought it might be too far but they actually had a tech in the area already servicing another customer! They came by within hours and we have not had ants since. We paid Ron $395.00 up front to take care of our problems with gophers. He showed up to the first appointments . He put some power on the lawn every time. He was supposed to show up three times a week to take care of the problem. He did not. I called him several times. He never answered the phone . When we finally got in touch with him, he had every possible excuse . I don't know how anybody can run a business like that. It has been a nightmare. NOVA PEST SERVICES were so AMAZING and did an OUTSTANDING JOB that I had to write a Yelp review. Shortly after we moved into our new home we discovered we weren't the only residents. Our new place had cockroaches! The first company who I called wanted to use a harmful chemical spray to get rid of the insects. Being 8 months pregnant I was terrified of harsh chemicals being sprayed in my house. The company was extremely rude and would not provide services unless I agreed to let them use the strong chemicals. I freaked out and was terrified! Thank goodness my friend referred me to NOVA PEST SERVICES. From the first phone call with Ron, he put my concerns to rest. He was extremely kind and KNOWLEDGEABLE in explaining my OPTIONS, unlike the previous company. We've had bird mites since early July this year. We had some other pest guy come out for two weeks with little improvement. We hired Ron and he has been so incredibly helpful and persistent. We had 4 treatments (typical), but noticed we still had some problems. By the way, you get a 6 month guarantee with his services. The problems were much less but I want these damn mites fully gone! So he came out again 2 weeks later. He was a bit hard to reach, but I think it's because he is so busy. He truly wants to help everyone and maybe has a hard time saying no to customers. He apologized for not responding faster. I really appreciate that he didn't fall off the face of the earth and is still in contact with me asking how things are going. I told him we're still having some issues. Maybe it's all in my head, but I'm giving him another sample of the things I think are mites. He's also giving me another two treatments and is going to consult with other professionals to see another way to attack them. In summary, I do see what reviewers are saying about him being difficult to reach at times. But I think the most important thing is that he wants to help people. He seems like a friend helping you out- not just some guy trying to quickly exterminate and move on to the next customer. I highly recommend him. I know bird mites are one of the most difficult things to eradicate. I had an issue that needed to be resolved quickly. I initially found this company through Home Adviser, and Ron called within 5 minutes. He is courteous, professional, and patient. Keep in mind that they have lots of customers, so your first choice appointment may not be immediately available, so try to be flexible with them if you want quick service. They also offer a warranty, which definitely gives a piece of mind. My "project" included several visits, which was the way to take care of problem. So I am leaving this review after everything is completed. I noticed a few not so positive reviews, which is puzzling as none of these was my personal experience.
