It was so good, right amount of heat and seasoning was on point, the chicken was cook to perfection, not dry at all!! The coleslaw was good, right amount of dressing. The rice pudding which I ate and didn't get the chance to take pictures of was so delicious! It isn't too sweet, it was perfect, reminds me of arroz con leche! So bomb!! Juicy, flavorful & perfectly spicy. Fried chicken batter reminded me of Bangladeshi BFC taste, but I'd prefer just a bit salt in the chicken. What can I say about Noya Kitchen is this place is mother clucking good. When I was looking up what I wanted for lunch and saw Noya Kitchen on yelp I drove from east LA to try them out. I ordered their 3 tenders in mild and they remind me of Raising Canes but better. All the pieces were crispy, juicy and you can definitely taste the freshness. I liked so much I would get them again but their spicy variation. When I came again for another taste and got their grilled spicy chicken combo. It didn't have much heat but you can taste the seasoning in the chicken, a solid chicken burger if you asked me. You also get a lot of fries and drink with this and all for under $10! Had the pleasure to eat here as I had the serious craving for some fried chicken. Almost went to Chikfila but we should be supporting these small businesses during these times and yelp took me here. I had ordered the chicken wings, grilled chicken burger, fries, onion rings and mac and cheese. Im going to list out the order from least favorite to best. Onion rings - bit too doughy as there was a lot of breading. Not enough onions. Mac and cheese - well it is literally macaroni and cheese. Love that they give you a lot of cheese sauce so you can dip your other stuff with it if you are a fiend like me. Fries - pretty well seasoned and tasty. Chicken wings - love the spice but more importantly these wings are very crunchy and juicy. Its amazing when restaurants can get a great crunch with fresh wings. Could be a little spicier but still very good. Grilled chicken sandwich - highlight of the meal as there was plenty of meat that was so juicy and good. Definitely recommend. Next time will have to try the crispy chicken. On a different note, i had the opportunity to try a new dessert, gulab jamun. Galub jamun is a ball mixed with dried milk, flour and some sugar in a syrupy sauce. It reminded me of a Korean rice cake. Definitely very interesting and worth trying. Overall noya is a great place to get some good ol fashioned fried chicken. Been here multiple times since they opened up. So so happy that the food quality is consistently fresh and delicious. I hope it doesn't fall under the same halal restaurant trap where food quality goes down over time. Customer service is always very cordial. The gentleman who seems to be the owner, always ensures that you are satisfied with your order before you leave the door. My favorite is their crispy chicken sandwich but I've tried their beef burger and it's great as well. Their fries are really nicely seasoned and not overly oily. I always drove past this spot but finally got a chance to try it. I do know they opened shortly before the lock down started and have been slowly coming back . When comparing their chicken to what they bring to mosques from the Halal KFCs or Popeyes (LOL), you will be shaken. Literally, uncomparable. Their fried chicken's coating is seasoned to the T and the meat is so, incredibly juicy and tender. I ended up having leftovers and - I kid you not - everything tasted just as great the next day. Their fries are perfectly seasoned as well and I would honestly choose them over any fast food place. Don't forget to try their drinks too! I'm not sure if they're on the menu (definitely ask them about it if it's not), but I was taken aback by how refreshing their PASSION FRUIT beverage was. Fried chicken is a trend these days and such a simple dish is easy to get wrong, most of the time mediocre... I tried this place and was impressed. The 2 things I judge chicken on is how dry/juicy it is, and how bland/flavorful it is. This chicken was juicy and flavorful but hits the 3rd mark of balancing it all out. It was juicyyy but not oily and had just the right amount of flavor, where it's not overpowering the chicken. I also tried the shrimp fried rice which was top notch (you want that fried/fire taste) not the bland regular cooked rice passed off as 'fried' and there was a generous amount of shrimp as well. Topped it all off with falooda which was excellent, not overly sweet. I recommend trying this place and giving it a shot, it's a family owned business and you can taste the 'home'.
