    Chicken tikka masala fries
    Jeff C.

Loved it. Was in the area and randomly came across this place. Inside is simply decored, it has an old school neighborhood restaurant vibe. Spacing is a bit tight with a few tables and booths. The food is great. For starters we got the chicken tikka masala fries and vegetable pakora. They were good, loved the sauces. For the entrees we got the lamb biryani and chicken tikka. We asked for medium spice, but it was lighter than I expected, I feel like we could have gone up to spicy. The mango ice cream was good, had a more icy consistency than cream. Would definitely come back to try more. Service was good. Friendly staff. There's a few parking spots in front or there's street parking.

After first experiencing this for delivery, this evening I chose to dine in. Trying a Fusion of Indian meets Mex: Iced Tea with Ginger, Gobi Manchurian (Cauliflower) and Chicken Tika Masala Burrito, so good! Adding this to my regular spots to enjoy now. Plus the owner was a very friendly man too.

The fat stuffed chicken tikka masala burrito! Excellent , but a little sweet .

Pro-Tip: If you order the chicken-tikka masala burrito, consider ordering it with the masala sauce spicy, instead of normal. Very tasty, albeit a little sweeter than I'd like in a burrito. First thing I notice is the size! For the price of $15, you're getting a heckuva lot of burrito in that burrito! It's super fat and stuffed with chicken tikka, rice et al. The masala sauce is creamy, and flavorful; however, in a burrito, I'm a little bit more impartial to the hotter, savory side of things. The masala sauce is amazing, but a little bit overpowering if you continuously dab the burrito up in it. The chicken and rices seasoning is a perfect fusion of mexican and indian. Very unique. And a treat. I just couldn't bring myself to order this each and every time -- requires me to be in the mood! If I ordered the masala sauce as spicy, I would have given this a 5/5 no problem.

There aren't many fusions that pair better in my opinion than Indian and Mexican food. From chicken tikka tacos to paneer burritos to lamb quesadillas with masala sauce, the experimental menu at Indimex Eats hits all the right spots of blending the two cultures. The quesadillas were my favorite items with the masala sauce adding a creaminess to the dish. I would love to see even more items that experiment in fusing the cultures. The service was fantastic and the menu also has traditional Indian items.

I was disappointed on the portion there was no meat on the tandoori chicken left me starving it looked pretty but two thighs has rubbery tendons and just left me hungry Over priced for what I got The person who helped was very kind and helpful but just wasn't happy with this menu item

This place deserves even more than 5 stars for their flavor. We ordered the non-veg dinner for 2 and we FEASTED! We got one chicken tikka and one fish korma. The chicken tika sauce was so rich and had fresh herbs it was unlike any chicken tika I've ever had, maybe the best I've ever had! The texture of the meats in the sauces was so fresh and the service was like being in someone's living room. Felt like home cooking in the best way possible, complete with Bollywood music videos playing in the tv. Highly recommend this spot for a cute date or small groups!

Chicken Tikka Masala Burrito is absolutely something to marvel at. I was surprised to have Mexican Beans pair so well with Indian flavors, but it's a great source of extra protein. The Masala Wings were truly the highlight of the meal though, as they were so well seasoned. Excellent food, especially for the price, and a guaranteed crowd pleaser.

I enjoy Indian cuisine a lot and I'm happy I tried this place out. There is a small parking lot on the side of the restaurant. I had chicken tikka masala, sagh paneer, veggie samosa, garlic naan and chicken biryani. I got the dishes in medium, but I could probably use a little more spice to it. To ty the Mexican/Indian fusion I had the chicken tikka taco. There's a small section for the fusion so this is more of an Indian restaurant. Despite that I'd absolutely come back.

Lunch special: Lamb Makhani (top), chicken saag (bottom)

I've been looking for a good Indian food spot around the area and I'm so glad I stumbled upon Indimex Eats! I've had my fair share of great Indian food across the States and was really craving some the minute I came back to LA. There is a small lot out front which is a plus. We came for lunch and got the lunch special, which I highly recommend to anybody! It was soooo filling and the value is insanely good. The soup it comes with was packed with flavor and felt pretty healthy. Saag is my favorite Indian dish so I tend to order it anywhere. The saag here is good! I got it with my lunch special and was happy with it. For the spice lovers: I found that medium spice wasn't quite spicy enough so I asked for some on the side. That said, I really love spicy food so generally I'd just recommend to order one level higher than you normally might. My boyfriend got the lamb makhani with his lunch special and thought it was spectacular! He usually doesn't seek out saucey foods, but found that this dish was great. He got medium spice and I did find that the spice was more noticeable in this dish. We got the garlic naan which I really enjoyed! It's thin (which I love) and served with fresh herb and garlic. I usually don't enjoy any type of bread much, but found myself unable to stop eating this naan. We got some mango ice cream at the end of our meal which was amazing! It was somehow sooooo packed with flavor. The texture was more icy, but we both didn't mind. Service was so good! We felt very welcomed here. The vibe is more casual. There were some fun Indian music videos playing when we went. I think this will be my new go-to Indian restaurant in the area. The price is nice and value is good.

The only dish we didn't like was the edamame because the way it was prepared- the shell and inner bean were both chewable unlike other edamame preparations where you bite and get the beans out. Maybe we were eating it wrong, but we kept having to remove the chewed up shell from our mouths after enjoying the bean inside. We got a reservation, highly recommend! We came with a group on a saturday and they were able to seat us immediately - plenty of parking in the large plaza where the Hat and Shiki Buffet is (previously hometown buffet location). All of the items on the menu were intriguing, but I was eyeballin' the salt and pepper one and the fried tofu. My buddy got the lemongrass "chicken" and also the curry with bread. Since we were eager to try the different types of food, we did a family style and that was the best decision. We also got eggplant, and the rice cake/egg. I thought the rice cake looked underwhelming, but our entire group had a consensus and voted that as the top fave of the night. Everything was super tasty and we left happy and full and with leftovers! Super excited to return and to recommend to others. I look forward to come back to try some of the other items such as the "beef" noodle soup or the bun rieu or pho! I also appreciate that some of the dishes came with rice included -we actually ended up with too much rice, but perfect for leftovers the next day. Upon checking out, there was delicious thing by the cash register that was green and resembled a bundt cake in slices. It was labled mochi pandan, and it was AMAZING. so spongy, so delicious and a little sweet. Perfect end of the night that my buddy got one to go right after. It was made fresh and you can tell by how soft it was. I appreciate that this restaurant has vegetarian versions of common vietnamese and chinese dishes. I was drawn towards the 'N Seoul Bowl' (Korean spicy plant based pork, house marinated Kimchi, organic edamame, steamed organic spinach, carrot, steamed broccoli, onion , organic shiitake, topped with green onion and sesame seeds and side organic quinoa). So good, a bit spicy, and so many flavors on the plate it was impossible to not only love it, but I could not finish it, either. That goes from all their dishes. Counter stools. Tiled floors. Adorbs. Also, the staff was super helpful and very attentive even though I was doing take-out. Just a five-star experience all around. Can't wait to come back for more delicious vegan food!!

You get an incredible variety of banchan with so many different flavors, textures, and seasonal vegetables. It's basically a fiber-packed feast with a huge selection of side dishes, and it comes with barley rice, making it a delicious and surprisingly wholesome meal. For around $35 per person, the amount of food and variety you get is a great value. Not only do you get a beautiful barley rice feast with an incredible spread of banchan, but the set menu feels like a full dining experience. You'll go through multiple courses, from a comforting pumpkin soup to the crispiest kimchi pancake, and even a sweet persimmon dessert to finish. Every dish brings a different flavor, texture, and seasonal element to the table. What really makes this place special is how authentic the experience feels. The staff is traditionally Korean and incredibly welcoming, and every detail of the restaurant, from the placemats to the earthenware dishes, reflects Korean culture and hospitality. It feels like stepping into a true home-style Korean dining experience rather than just another restaurant. If you have a diverse palate and love exploring different cultures through food, this place is a must-visit. The flavors are comforting, balanced, and thoughtfully prepared. The only downside is parking can be a bit of a hassle, so plan on using valet. But the experience is absolutely worth it. Highly recommend coming here if you want to experience authentic Korean cooking, incredible banchan, and a meal that feels both nourishing and memorable.

My husband has type 1 diabetes so we very rarely eat at Italian ristorantes. Chef Tara has helped us rediscover a new world of flavor without negative impacts on my husband's blood sugar and cholesterol. (Thanks for the variety of non-dairy cheeses!!) Tip for first-timers: go when you can have the brunch or the lunch menu. Then you'll have so many options that you'll have to return! Round 1 Polpettine (meatballs) are made from lentils and texture similar to the real ones; lovely marinara sauce and ground macadamia nut instead of parmesan. Complement this with the citrus notes that highlight the sauteed swiss chard with earthy Italian butter / gigante beans. Round 2 The same beans are in the Greek goddess salad: rich with tomatoes, kalamata olives, and fresh red onions. This was a visually stunning and paired well with the Sicilian almond 'tuna' melt. The tuna is by far the most imaginative. Again, Chef Tara and the back of the house nailed the texture and I loved the hints of crunchy celery. The capers injected tiny bursts of salt and tartness. The only moderation I'd consider is slightly crisping / toasting the sandwich bread -- but the tuna melt sando is great as it is. Pura Vida is a diamond in the rough especially because the storefront is pretty discreet. I sure wish that we lived closer. We'll be back for special occasions in our life!

He was so friendly and genuinely excited about the menu, took the time to explain everything, and gave us great recommendations based on what we were in the mood for. You could tell he really cared about making people have a good experience. The food and coffee were amazing, super flavorful and satisfying without feeling too heavy. It ended up being one of our favorite stops during our trip. Huge thank you to everyone there for making our day so special.

Everything was spotless, calm, and full of genuinely lovely people. The service was so warm I briefly considered asking if I could move in. I ordered a latte, the Caesar tempeh wrap, and a bowl -- and somehow every single bite tasted like it had been blessed by woodland fairies with culinary degrees. Flavor? Absolutely out of this world. But the BEST part? The names of the dishes. "I Am Well," "I Am Grateful," "I Am Light"... and when your server brings your food they lovingly announce: "You are well." Honestly, being affirmed by a stranger while handed organic vegan food healed at least 37% of my problems. I came for lunch and accidentally left spiritually moisturized. If you want delicious fully vegan organic food, positive vibes, and the experience of being gently complimented by your salad, this place is IT.

I can't believe it's been 12 years--and I'm so happy to say it was every bit as incredible as I remembered. My friend and I came for lunch. I ordered the vegetable pho, and she had the curry rice. Both dishes were absolutely delicious--fresh, flavorful, comforting, and beautifully prepared. Honestly, I wish we had more time because we had another appointment downtown. I would have loved to try more dishes and definitely dessert! Our server was wonderful--friendly, attentive, and incredibly professional. He checked on us at just the right moments without ever feeling intrusive. The service was as impressive as the food. The restaurant has such a warm, relaxing atmosphere. I especially loved the beautiful ceramic water cups with bird designs--they were so unique and charming. Even the water tasted wonderful! I'm thrilled that Au Lac is still thriving after all these years. If anything, the food tasted even better than I remembered. I certainly won't wait another 12 years before coming back. In fact, I was so impressed that I convinced my husband to come with me next Saturday for dinner! I've tried many vegan restaurants over the years, and Au Lac remains my absolute favorite. My favorite on the Westside is Variable Café, but if you're willing to drive a little farther, Au Lac is on another level. I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough. Whether you're vegan or not, this place is truly outstanding. Five stars without hesitation!

She said the house salad was better the last time she came bc the lettuce was different. She recalled it was Romaine lettuce last time. This time it was a green salad. I had the lemongrass fish which was made of soybean. It was a little too dry and rubbery for me. I kept putting it in my soup with rice to make it taste better, but ran out of soup. I won't be ordering this dish again. I took half home, cut up the soybean fish and added it to a stew. I didn't mention to my server that it was my bday, but was disappointed that he didn't even offer like regular servers do, "Would you like to see the dessert menu?" I didn't tell him it was my bday nor did I ask for the dessert menu bc I wasn't the one paying the bill. Not that I needed dessert, but it would've been nice to have been asked. When I mentioned this to another server who came by to clear our table that our server didn't even ask if we wanted dessert and that the restaurant doesn't seem to want to push its desserts, he quickly brought us a dessert menu, but my friend was already paying our bill - too late! It would've been nice to be asked earlier. I even had candles in my bag just in case we got dessert. Anyway, this server said he'll tell our server about not offering dessert. The next day I came back with another friend after a Music Center event. My server from the day before recognized me. This time he asked us at the start before we ordered or after we had just ordered whether we'd like to see the dessert menu. Huh? Ask at the END not start of a meal! Instead of embarrassing him, I told him, "No, thanks. My bday was yesterday." On this second day, my friend and I shared a Chinoise salad (delicious and refreshing!) and paella (not like a paella, a little too wet and granular for our taste, but healthy - a living food dish). We had mint and lemon water for both meals. $12 parking in the adjacent structure. Free parking passes at the Music Center if you're a season ticket holder or good luck with finding street parking. I'd still continue to occasionally patronize this restaurant when I have Music Center events bc I want to support veganism, the restaurant; however, I was disappointed with some of the food and waitstaff this weekend. I'd suggest that the waitstaff go thru customer training on when/what/how to talk to customers. Incentive from the website: join the rewards plan - 300 points for 30% off the bill and 100 points for a free dessert! I'm aiming for the free dessert!!
