I didn't even want to give this location a single star based on the rude and accusatory attitude of the "new manager". I have never had an issue with bringing my own oil and requesting the Lucas additive, until yesterday. The manager refused the service and told me that I would try to "pull some sh!t" and "blame [him]" if something "didn't work right", so he wasn't going to do it. Even though this location, prior to him becoming a manager, has always done the service, and all the other surrounding locations do as well, he would rather point the finger at a long term customer rather than provide a civil/logical explanation to denying a service. read more

Take 5 is my new go to oil change place for my Saturn. They just seem to do it better with less hassle! Not much else I can say other than the fact that the past 4-5 times I've came through they have been the same fast, attentive, friendly folks that I had the first. They are consistent. It's a drive through, drive in, don't have to get out of your car operation and every place could learn a thing or two about the way they are doing business. I bring my vehicles to Take 5 because of the convenience. I have been for years and I've never had an issue until today at this one. I always get the "Economy" because since I travel so much for work, I get the oil changed more often than normal. Out of the dozens of locations all over Texas that I've used, nobody has ever said that I couldn't have the Economy until I used this location today. I was told that the Economy doesn't include the type of oil that my car uses. I informed them that it has never been an issue before at any other Take 5 because they've just made it work. The manager basically called me a liar saying that Take 5 doesn't do that. I stood my ground and insisted that they substitute oil or whatever they need to do to make it work and they finally did. See, this is Customer Service 101. 1. You NEVER tell a customer that what they're saying isn't true. 2. You never tell a customer that they can't have a particular service. 3. You always make it work to achieve customer satisfaction WITHOUT the customer ever knowing. Just like all the other Take 5 locations. Not once did anyone ever say there was any kind of issue. I asked for the Economy so they simply made it work. For now, I'll continue using Take 5 but I'll never be back to this location. Also, the kid changing the oil told me that I have a leak that I know that I don't have. read more

When you go for oil change you're not expecting a 5 star customer service but those guys are top notch at customer service, at my arrival I was greeted with cold bottle of water, no pressure to go for an expensive oil change or up selling for air filters or anything like that, team work, one of the guys was checking the air pressure on my tires someone else were cleaning my windows I was out in less than 7 min. This company is the worst company I"ve every dealt with, they will hear from me in Court, went to go get an oil change and a month and 2 weeks later my car had no oil whatsoever, my engine is dead, do not go to this company , the location that serviced me is in Garland tx 75040, the guy in charge smelled like alcohol, they hire inexperienced young people and the one in charge is an alcoholic go figure. I brought my wife's car back here for a second time. The guys working told me that the drain plug was stripped by the guy who changed my oil last time. When I asked how the issue would be resolved, I was told to 'look up the number for corporate on Google'. I'll be back on Monday to see how the manager will make this right. I went the first time and it was great, was excited to find my "place" for oil changes. However, I pulled up tonight at 6:50 (they close at 7) just to check if it was too late or not. If they were cleaning up I'd understand. Doors were up, open sign on, etc. but instead of a kind "sorry it's too late" one employee was dramatically shaking his head like he couldn't believe I'd even pulled in. Another came out to hand me a water (?) Not sure of what he even said. I did hear maybe come back tomorrow. I Felt silly and like I was a bother as he kept shaking his head and seemed annoyed. I was just fine that it was too late, but please close your doors and in a kind way have a message that my business is important. read more

They will be hearing from me at 7am in the morning when they open. Got my truck inspected and it passed with flying colors, no codes, no issues 20 minutes prior to getting my oil changed at this location. As soon as I drove off, my check engine light came on and my truck died at the red light. Went back and they said they would replace my air filter for free and that should fix the issue. Check engine light went off until I go home and the light came back on. A friend that knows a lot about vehicles look at my inspection report and then look at my truck and said they messed something up. I am furious and it is probably that there is a lawsuit coming their way. read more

I showed proof of insurance, and then waited inside in the AC - they took care of everything else. I had such a great experience! First of all, I hate car maintenance tasks! I was already dreading getting my oil changed before my trip but they made it so easy and painless! They were fast, friendly, and helpful! I went during my lunch break hoping that I would be able to get my oil changed as quickly as possible seeing as how I only have 30 minutes. I was definitely taking a chance but I'm glad I did because there was no wait! They had me in and out in no time. They didn't try to add nonsense. They did tell me I needed to change my air filter but I chose not to because I didn't feel like spending the money (it was right before payday) but thinking back I probably should have spent the extra 20 or so bucks to properly maintain my car. The only reason I have not been back to this location is because I moved but if I'm ever in the area and needing an oil change, I'll definitely be visiting this location again! read more

The attendant kept staring at my 8 yr old daughter through the glass during the oil change, and it was really weird. I'm not sure if he thought we couldn't see him or what, but it seriously gave me the creeps. I came to get a oil change here 2 days ago. One of the guys came & handed me a cold water bottle. I had like 4 guys working on my car. One put air in my tires & the others were checking transmission fluid & water fluid. They gave me recommendations for my mileage & even wiped my windshield. Once they were done a guy came to my window & showed me that I had new clean oil. They were awesome, fast & had great communication among them. They were a great team & I will go back.
