The chef was eager to share a pro tip with me too: take the left overs & toss it in the freezer. You can eat it like a cookie. This place seriously has even better crepes than the ones I had in Paris. The place is kind of tucked away off the main road, but it's well worth trying. The Inside-Out Boy is my favorite savory crepe, and the Blonde is my favorite sweet crepe (it's made with a biscoff spread, which is made from speculoos cookies). They have special "limited edition" crepe experiments every month, with this month's being the Crepe Marsala (invented by one of the cooks as a Valentine's day surprise for his girlfriend), featuring chicken in a bacon Marsala wine and mushroom sauce. There place is not easy to find since we didn't see it from the car but found it anyway by walking to the address. Once we got there we ordered and we sat down and waited to be called to pick up our plate. It didn't take long before our order was made. Fresh and well made we tried the vegetable omelette and it was good. We also tried other items and overall were made well. The coffee was OK. The Nutella were not too sweet so overall we had a good experience. There is no table service but we knew that. I found this place on Groupon and thought I would give it a try. Oddly enough, I had been searching for a crepe place near me and was thrilled to have stumbled upon it. The interior of the establishment is very charming. The theme seemed to be sustainability and reducing environmental waste, which was really cool. My boyfriend and I ordered two of the breakfast crepes and coffee. The coffee, which was dark matter, was outstanding. I thought how could this experience get any better, but then the food came. These were some of the largest crepes I have ever seen, and they were absolutely delicious. They had an organic agave nectar to put atop the crepes, which was a nice touch. Omg, discovered this by sheer accident after exiting the congested expressway (and using Google to find something to eat). At first tricky to find since it's in a pedestrian only street. Had the in/ out or something like that. Must say, the description did not do it justice. There is something about the chorizo, the cheese blend and the Chipotle mayo well all the ingredients worked so well together. It was like heaven. They also give you a rock it slaw or some such name. Just tried it here to treat my husband for Father's Day and it was phenomenal! My husband loves crepes, and well..so do I now! Food was super fresh, hot, and definitely made with detail in mind. I literally wanted to try all of them. Guess I'll have to visit more often! Dark Matter Coffee is served here as well, which also was very good. The ambiance about the place makes it a great location to eat and meet friends at, and being so close to the elburn metra line makes it even better. The food is delivered in hearty portions but seems to disappear quickly, as it is so delicious. Definitely not safe for celiacs I read many reviews about how great this place is for gluten free. Others have said that they are careful about cross-contamination and have had great experiences. Sadly I did not. I asked about how the food was handled and was told that they cook the gluten free crepes on the same grill as the regular ones but the cashier stated, "The grill is so hot it burns off the gluten. We have had full-blown celiacs eat here and no one has gotten sick." I should have ran when I heard this but I risked it anyway and ended up sick. FYI, you cannot burn off gluten and either you have celiac or you don't. There is no such thing as "full-blown celiac". Maybe others have had experiences with cross-contact taken more seriously but I will never go there again. If you choose to eat here please be persistent, ask questions and if in doubt skip eating here. read more

Love this place! We first came here with a Groupon a few years back when they were a newer restaurant and I'm glad to see they've done well. We stopped in over the weekend for lunch and were pleasantly surprised to see it was it was busy! Not busy in a bad way, we were just able to tell it was a popular lunch spot. We were still able to get a table and get out food in a reasonable amount of time. My husband ordered the Kick'n Chicken, which is one of our favorites, and has buffalo chicken, bacon and cheddar. I tried a new to me crepe, the Cali, which has turkey, ham, bacon, avocado, spinach and cheese, topped with cilantro lime ranch. Both were fantastic, and are served with a side of their slaw. My friend lives in Elmhurst and took me here for breakfast on a late Sunday morning. You can park in a couple different lots, but we actually found free street parking, about a block away. You order the food at the counter, and then you are given a pager. I ordered the Lumberjack, which is a crepe, with potatoes and onions and your type of cheese and meat. I thought it was really good. Not greasy at all. They gave me so much, I took some of it home. My friend ordered the Bomb, which was more of a sweeter crepe. They have all different kinds and they are made to order. Love the crepes! We can't get there often but when we do yum! We love the lumberjack and of course love any with Nutella! The maple syrup they provide in the side is fab! It's warm and just good! However, every time we are there and ask for extra we are told there is a charge or we can get what's over "there". "There" is a self serve bar. The first time we tried the syrup from "there" it was ok, but definitely not the same. Our next time in there we asked for syrup and again was motioned to over "there"; was said no thank you we will pay for the warm syrup when we were told oh that's a new kind, just try it. I was like no we really want the warm syrup and was told nope the new stuff is just as good. Rather than argue we were like ok (btw hubby and I are far from cheap and would pay for the syrup). The new syrup not as good. So now we don't even bother asking. On one of our last visits we have our youngest with us who is a picky eater. We asked for a plain crepe since he doesn't like eggs and doesn't like Nutella. He just wanted plain. Yeah that didn't happen. We were told we had to have filling, we said ok just cheese and bacon. We were told they needed to add egg. I explained he wouldn't eat it. Well the snarky lady behind the counter was like trust me he won't know. I said you have never seen my kid, you don't know him... he will know. And boy oh boy was I right! So at the end of all this, yes I enjoy the food, cute little atmosphere but will not ask for the warm syrup and know for sure my kid won't go back.
