These are the best eel purple rice rolls I have had in my entire life!!! Beautiful, tasty, heated well each time. However, I am taking 1 star off because it's not always consistent quality. The other day I travelled specifically to visit here and I noticed the eel rice roll had wayy less eel and some kind of other unlisted ingredient that I did not like. It was what looked like a lottt of dry brown fish paste inside the roll? And possibly some salmon? But overall, I recommend trying their purple rice rolls as they are tasty. Individually - each and every ingredient for each of the rolls I ate were high quality, tasty and well cooked. However, it felt like the ingredients weren't harmonious. Unless you ask for omissions, your chosen ingredient will come alongside lettuce, cucumber, Taiwanese pickled radish, fried cruller (yiou tiao), pork floss, and a "special sauce". The ingredients and textures are nicely balanced, though as a personal preference, I could do without the creamy, mayonnaise-like sauce. I'll ask for that to be omitted next time. I was craving fan tuan and found this place and wanted to give it a try. It's not exactly like the traditional fan tuan I've had before but it's just as delicious. I absolutely love the purple rice. It has a nice texture and is different from other rice I've had before. I got the eel roll ($5.75) which had lettuce, Mayo, pork floss, eel and the purple rice with seaweed on the outside. I paid with card and there's a $0.40 fee for under $10 so I recommend bringing cash unless you plan to buy multiple items.
