I didn't want to like it given its touristy location and branding but it was solid. I got the dried shrimp which was $6 plus tax. They take cash. Seating inside and out. Ample sauces. OK portion. Fast. Fresh. They give you 3 free ingredients but that includes scallion, cilantro and I picked bean sprouts. Which is foolish because dried shrimp traditionally already includes scallion and cilantro. I think West is slightly better but this is comparable

Decided to try Joe's that just opened up on Doyers Street. Like how there is an option to include 3 veggies with your order. I got the roast pork and beef. Service was quick. It is a small space with few seats. Rice roll was prepared quickly. I liked the sweetness of the roast pork and the beef reminded me of the ones from dim sum carts. There is options to add soy sauce, peanut sauce, and hot sauce. Lots of other protein varieties to choose from. They have water, soy milk, and soda as well.

Cheap eats in Chinatown but not the best. Food was fulfilling but I don't think I would be back again. Beef rice roll texture was kind of questionable but the shrimp was good.

Quick, convenient rice roll spot with self-order kiosks for an easy grab-and-go experience. The menu is pretty focused, mainly rice rolls and a few sides, but the rice rolls are tasty and hit the spot. Seating is limited

Congrats on the re-opening in the Chinatown area! It's on Doyer St. What a beautiful street. For the soft opening weekend 5/15-18, they are giving out a tote bag with $10 purchase. You can order on the kiosk. There are 2 of them. You need to spend $10+ to use your credit card. If less than $10, you can order at the register and pay cash. I had the shrimp and beef rice rolls. They make it fresh. You can see it while they are making it near the window. It takes about 15-30 minutes to get your order, especially when it's busy. There are a few ledge tables and chairs along the window that you can eat-in on. They give it to you on a plate for dine-in and in a container if it's for take-out. You can ask for hot sauce if they didn't give it to you. They have multiple locations. Staff are nice. Just be patient when they are busy. It's a little tight inside when so many people are waiting for their rice rolls.

Food was amazing and service was super fast. We ordered at the kiosk and got our food not 10 minutes later. Seating is limited but we still found a good window spot. Would definitely come back :)

But since they didn't have a lot of people come and I already order over $10 I automatically get the tote bag.

This second go around was a celebration dinner with my brother so we ordered quite a bit to share. For starters we had their crab rangoon, wontons in chili oil, and salt pepper wings. The rangoons were perfectly crisp but the filling just didn't impress me all too much. I love a good smack of green onion & crab, this one lacked both. Definitely not my favorite rangoons and only 3??? Hmm. The wontons were sublime though. They were nice and plump with a nice punch from the chili oil they bathe in. The chicken wings were pretty standard, I kinda wish there was more pepper on it. It was nice and salty but severely lacked pepper for being a pepper oriented dish. As for the General Tsos? YUM. This was great. The ratio of batter to chicken wasn't bad and it had such a great crisp. The actual General Tso sauce was perfect as well, I could not stop picking at this. The Shrimp Lo Mein was also fantastic, very smoky which I'm a sucker for. The shrimps were perfectly cooked as well and the noodles..... bouncy umami goodness. Delicious food, decent prices, great service I should add. In Chinatown, you learn that hospitality is entirely optional. Here though, they are welcoming and communicate very well with you. Our waiter and the hosts were especially lovely on this night. For next time, I'd pass on the crab rangoons and go for their crispy garlic chicken over the salt pepper wings. There will definitely be a next time though!

To be honest we didn't know there was so many Dim Sum Palace in Manhattan, because this was a different one than the one we believe we went to. We sat down and order food. We wrote down what we want and the orders start rolling in. We got some delicious dumplings and pork buns. The scallion pancake was light and fluffy. We were excited for the Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce. We did order Singapore mei fun but they forgot it. I was kind of happy they did because we were full. Overall it was a good place to get some dim sum.

They're not cheap, but we thought they were good enough to justify the trip all the way downtown to Chinatown. Sautéed Lobster with Sticky Rice, S.P., around $50: Somehow, the lobster and sticky rice combination works extremely well. The juices from the live lobster soak into the sticky rice, giving it a rich, savory flavor that reminds me of Spanish paella. It's a very satisfying dish. Live Fish, Fillet with Scallion, S.P., around $50-$100: Exceptionally fresh, and the fish was filleted very well. The preparation was simple enough to let the freshness and natural flavor of the fish come through. I would come back for these dishes. Congee Village may be expensive now, but good for special occasions to taste fresh and well prepared seafood.

It was my first time having porridge made with salted pork. The pork shreds were tender and flavorful after marinating, making the congee very aromatic. Salted Chicken Porridge家鄉鹹雞粥: Not recommended. The salted chicken wasn't umami or aromatic, the flavor was dull and slightly greasy, and there were a lot of bone residues. Chinese Green with Black Fungus油鹽水菜心: I thought the seasoning was too bland and the ginger flavor too strong, but my parents thought it was delicious. It might be more suitable for older people who prefer lighter flavors.
