Came here for Sunday brunch with 8 other people. Even though the place was pretty packed we were seated within 20 minutes. The staff was incredibly nice and accommodating and the service was fast. I got the California Benedict which was slightly underwhelming as my eggs were a little overdone. However the home fries, pancakes and sticky buns were really really tasty. I really loved this place! Me and my boyfriend were in the mood for breakfast food after church on Sunday and Nudy's Cafe was the perfect place to stop since Ardmore is on our drive home. He had the traditional plate of eggs, bacon, potatoes and rye toast while I had the California Benedict (eggs Benedict with avocado and tomato accompanied with potatoes). Overall, I'd give it 4 stars! Mainly because our potatoes were a made a little too done for our liking (they are very good hash browns though... I wouldn't them consider them home fries like the menu calls them). I will say the service was great, they got us in and out very quickly. I also loved how inexpensive it was-- I'm surprised the meals didn't cost more! We will be returning to continue to sample the menu. They have a lot of great choices-- fantastic place in Ardmore. Solid brunch place that's friendly to your wallet! Everything is fairly priced (around $10 or less) and there's everything you would want for brunch: french toast, pancakes, waffles, eggs, omelets... you name it! Our table of four got strawberry cheesecake french toast, french toast with fresh berries, salmon and lox omelet and they were all wonderful! It came fairly quickly and our cups of coffee were kept full through the whole meal. There's plenty of seating inside and, when it's nice out, outside as well! I wouldn't say this is the fanciest experience I've had or the best brunch in the world but it's a great place to go out and catch up with friends and/or family for some solid breakfast. read more

I am a huge fan of Nudy's! The service is great and the waitstaff is very attentive and polite. When it is crowded, (which is pretty common for around 10 on weekends) the receptionist is very organized in keeping track of all who are waiting and the wait is never that long and is always worth it! Today was my first visit to Nudy's in Ardmore. My husband and I were seated quickly and our waiter was attentive. I ordered the crabmeat and tomato omelet subbing eggwhites and fruit instead of home fries. It was good, but I was disappointed the asparagus that accompanies it was cold and the hollandaise was forgettable. I had raisin bread toast as well which was tasty. My husband had the bacon and cheese omelet and added a sticky bun. The sticky buns at Nudys are flat like pancakes and grilled. It came with a giant heap of butter. My husband stated that the flavor was good, though not gooey like a traditional bun. Overall we enjoyed our meal and service and would probably return again. A quick Yelp search for "burgers" in Ardmore led me here for a late lunch today. I had the Tuscan Burger - 1/2 pound of fresh ground beef topped with mozzarella, prosciutto and tomato, cooked medium rare. It was substantial, yummy, and an exceptional value at $9 for a large burger with a side. Quick tip - the menu says that all burgers are served with a side of fries, but I opted for onion rings instead. I believe you can also get a side salad and other sides in lieu of the fries. I'd definitely advocate for the onion rings! Our waiter was friendly and helpful. I'd come back! read more

We are regulars here for breakfast. We prefer to visit during the week during our time off, when most people are at work. It is not crowded at that time, and the perfect place to enjoy a nice quiet breakfast. We prefer the french toast (melba for him, banana walnut for me). One of the things I love most is that it's nice and warm in there. It snowed and has been in the single digits this entire week, so the warmth was greatly appreciated. Also, the staff is always friendly. When the french toast I ordered was cold, I asked the waitress to warm it up in the microwave. Instead, she brought me out a whole new order of french toast. Got a pick up order here while visiting from out of town for a college soccer camp my daughter was attending. Both my husband and I ordered the chicken cheesesteak. First off...he got a pickle with his order and I did not. Normally wouldn't be a big deal except the cheesesteak was the worst sandwich I have ever eaten. The chicken was dry, unflavored and obviously reheated. A pickle would have been nice to quench the dryness. Horrible experience. If we weren't in a rush to get back to the camp after the lunch break, I would have returned the order as it was inedible. I ate most of the onion rings instead...so $12.99 for onion rings. Came to Nudy's with my wife on a saturday recently for breakfast. We had eggs benedict with crab and blueberry pancakes and 2 scrambled eggs. The crabmeat was very plain, salty and flavorless and there wasn't much of it. The english muffin hadn't been buttered or well toasted. The eggs were just warm and the benedict sauce was not hot. The blueberry pancakes were good but not hot and the canned whipped cream on them was thin and wilted. The scrambled eggs were flat and again, not served hot, even though the food came out very soon after we placed our order. The beverages were ok but there wasn't anything premium about the brand of teabag and the cup was tiny. The service was fine but the food didn't come close to the quality of the other new breakfast places along Lancaster Ave going from Wynnewood to Bryn Mawr. read more

In general we have had terrific luck eating at Nudy's Cafes, so we decided to come here while we were in the neighborhood. The fact that there were almost no customers should have been a sign (Nudy's are usually very busy). My wife and I both had eggs with a meat, toast and well done (crispy) hash browns. The eggs were ok, the wheat toast was the cheapest wheat bread you can buy (not my experience at other Nudy's) and the worst part, the hash browns were lukewarm and tasted stale. We mentioned the hashbrowns (which we were really looking forward to) and they apologized and brought us new hashbrowns, and they were exactly the same. Lukewarm, not well done, and tasted stale, like they'd been sitting out for hours. We'll definitely be back to other Nudy's, but never again to this location. read more

The French toast and pancakes are the highlight but they have a lot of traditional and healthy offerings as well. Let me clearly state this has nothing to do with the quality of the food. This is all about the horrendous service we received at our latest visit. We have been coming to this locating for years and we have never had an issue, but whoever the hostess was on 9/7 was truly terrible. Here are the bullet points: - When my wife asked for a table, she was scoffed at and told "It's going to be a long time", with no further explanation. - When we went pay our bill, she did not acknowledge me. When another party came after me to pay their bill, she instantly acknowledged them and had them come to pay immediately. I said "excuse me but I was here before them", she stared blankly at me. I then loudly said "I must be invisible", she glared at me for about 30 seconds and then, in a snarky tone, asked "Would you like to pay"? I gave her two credit cards, which she said both didn't work (even though I could see the error was clearly on her end) I handed her cash an left. The person should never, ever, be near customers. Her uncaring attitude and inability to properly run a line, are going to drive off customers. The food was great as it always is, but as long as she's there, we won't be back. read more

My mother and I just had a great first visit to Nudy's! The place is bright, clean, and simply decorated in a less-is-more kind of way. Everyone was friendly from the young woman who sat us, to the server who was happy to make recommendations, as well as the woman who took payment at the hostess stand on the way out. We went for brunch, so we didn't look at the whole menu, but the brunch menu had lots of different options without being overwhelming. My mom had the banana walnut french toast and I had the melba french toast (stuffed with a creamy raspberry sauce and served with lots of fresh fruit). We were very pleased with everything from service to meals and atmosphere. And I have to mention that both our meals and our coffees came out to only $20 and change. We arrived with a party of 6 on Saturday for brunch, and they were able to accommodate us with only a 5-10 minute wait! The service, prices, and ambience were great, but the food was sort of a let down. I found my eggs to be dry and the hash flavorless with little crunchy texture. The chocolate chip nut pancakes were good though--on the thinner side, which I prefer. We happened to come on a day when they were having an outdoor holiday market right outside the restaurant, so that was a festive plus, but I'll probably just stick to my other brunch spot staples. read more

Had breakfast here the other day!!! Was not disappointed. I remember one of the original Nudy's cafe's on Chester pike in Sharon Hill. This is still the same family and the owner (son) was there. I talked to him about the fact I used to frequent his parents restaurant years ago when I worked in Folcroft. The tradition of good food continues. I hope this place does well, decor is great, restaurant is beautiful redone and the food was amazing and priced well, not the cheapest in the area, not the most expensive. The nostalgic feeling of eating another Nudy's made me think of almost 20 years ago! I've watched the construction of this place and I couldn't wait to eat here. It's so clean, spacious & has such a nice vibe to it. I ordered the veggie egg Benedict & it was amazing ! I also had a side pancake which was cooked to perfection. It's so conveniently close to home and the wait wasn't long at all. I would so have breakfast here again. This was my second time visiting this location. The first was an online order. I got a burger and fries and it was cold and just ok. This time, I dined in. They didn't have a QR code that worked for the menus, the menus they gave us felt sticky, they don't have a kids menu, and closer to the time we were leaving, the restaurant got busy and there was no social distancing. I heard a women ask for water several times and was ignored. On top of all that, they did not inform me that getting a 2 egg omelette is the same price as getting a 3 egg omelette. Who orders less food for more money? I've never ordered a small pizza and asked to pay for a large. Or buy a half dozen of eggs and pay for a dozen. This just doesn't make sense however you slice it. I should have been told upon ordering. When I went to pay the bill, the women behind the register didn't apologize for the misunderstanding or accommodate me in any way. She just said "yup." I love Nudy's. I have been to many of their locations before but I think this is one of my favorites. As usual, I got the carrot cake French toast, chocolate milk, and a Pepsi. It was all amazingly delicious. There is so much space in the restaurant. You don't feel crowded at all. There is a few spots out front but a large parking lot across the street. Great atmosphere! When we started coming here a few years ago, the service and food were decent. Service and food became less than stellar; every time we went they forgot sides we ordered, didn't refill our drinks etc.- so we stopped going there regularly. Today at 2:15pm we decided to give it another go, and we're so sorry we did. From the moment we walked in the door, the staff was audibly upset about our presence. From the lobby to our booth we could hear several employees complaining, "uggghh... another table" "I don't want to be sat again""why do people keep coming?!" "MORE PEOPLE" "this is so crazy today" "I just want to sit down and eat my lunch". There were about 4 other tables there of people eating at the time. Look, I get it. We all have been there- long day, rude clients, coworkers not pulling their weight, bad days, exhaustion... I work too, and I have had those days where I wish it would just end already- BUT if I ever hear my employees say this stuff in front of clients, or if my manager ever heard me talk like this in front of people, it would be unacceptable. So at this point my husband and I felt uncomfortable and knew they didn't want us there. The waitress seemed nice to our faces and took our order. We got one partial refill on our coffee after only drinking 1/3 of the cup and only being there about 5 minutes. Our food was dropped off and SO WAS OUR CHECK. She said she'd be around if we needed anything- BUT SHE LITERALLY TOOK OFF TO EAT HER OWN LUNCH. She never came back. The staff were all loudly talking about their busy day and how it was 3 o'clock. The hostess decided to use the phone and computer in the main dining area, and ask (very loudly) how to run the numbers from today's sales because it was "so crazy". One waitress was still working and waiting on the other tables there, so it wasn't like we were the last table taking our time- we really weren't there more than 40 minutes total at this point. Our waters and coffees were empty. I needed a box. I watched her go from the booth behind the register to behind the counter to get herself a Pepsi and go back to enjoy her lunch never even glancing at us to see if we needed anything. Finally the other waitress asked if we needed anything after I stood up to pay the bill. I said a box. Our waitress was chowing down and yelling across the restaurant "thank you so much Anna banana(and continued to rhyme her name)." She could've said, "I have to go on break now but our other server will be available if you need anything" and it would've been fine. But she didn't. She left us. She was mentally done with her day which was abundantly clear when we heard her complaining and when she left us sitting there without water or the option to bring anything home. The name on the check said our server was Kelly K. She wasn't a teenager with a summer job, she was a full grown adult. We left at 3:10pm. Again, we've all had bad days at work, we've all been starving and waiting for a break- but this was super unprofessional, and there are plenty of people out of work right now that would be glad to be getting a paycheck. We will not be returning, and there are plenty of places in the area that offer great brunch that won't make us feel like we've interrupted their meal. read more

It sounds like they had some problems as they started up. Not surprising, I suppose, but take it from me, for breakfast at least, they have things figured out and locked down. Three of us went this morning and we were all knocked out! The breakfast menu is huge, and the food was all terrific. The waitress was everything you could ask for - friendly, quick and attentive. The food was prepared beautifully and served right off the grill. And the prices are fantastic. Most breakfast entrees are between $6 and $10, and they give you LOTS. If you like the legendary breakfast places (Honey's in Fishtown, Hank's in Chadds Ford), you will love Nudy's in Ardmore. read more

New location for Nudy's lovers. We have been going to Nudy's for years and wanted to give this location a try. It is much smaller than some of the other locations, but still has great food. We had the cinnamon raisin French toast, chocolate chip pecan pancakes, and bacon and loved everything. The pancake portion was huge! You can tell the servers and staff are still new and trying to figure out the gist of everything. But, I would definitely come back.
