    Matador sandwich not much meat
    Thomas J.

Ok So generally I like nugget market though it's pretty pricey. However I bought this sandwich today and it had barely any meat on it. For $13.99, I expect a decent amount of meat on my sandwich, it's not wagyu beef after all, it's deli meat. But this sandwich had barely any. Disappointing. Also I wish they had a printed sandwich board because I have trouble seeing it on the wall since my eyes aren't great. The workers have offered to read it to me but then I feel like I'm burdening them.

Special shout out to Store Director Mr. Lambert. This grocery store is clean, well stocked, and every employee I encountered was polite and professional. For covid reasons, the wagons and baskets are sanitized outside. There's clear signage at the door about wearing masks. Additionally they took great care in marking the floor with directional signs and six foot markers. Especially wanted to thank the observant and diligent employees for communicating quickly to customers who fail to wear a required mask in the store! The fruits and vegetables are fresh and bountiful. Love the variety available! They are kind enough to provide paper towels to dry off the produce before bagging/purchasing. Really nice touch that the receptacles are nearby for folks to throw away their used paper towels. The meat/poultry/seafood area is clean. Great selection of fresh items. Nothing smelly here :) I was pleased to find local Italian sausage with fennel! Great job Mr. Lambert and your entire team. Cashier lines are quick and pleasant. Always an enjoyable shopping experience here, thank you.

Always a great selection of stuff anytime you go in here. The parking lot is small but other than it they have what you need. Great spirit collection and wine and all those adult delicious drinks to choose from. We only choose Nugget marks for our meats when it comes to wine pairing and making charcuterie boards.

What a wonderful store. Great selection of everything and the store was immaculate. Especially liked the vegetable section

    Great quality sushi rolls.

Since starting a job in Davis I have learned to love the Nugget markets for quick and easy lunches. They always have something in the deli section that catches my eye and for very affordable prices. Recently on a trip in I decided to try the sushi and was not disappointed! I got a tuna avocado roll and goodness it was better than some sushi restaurants I've tried. Employees are always kind and helpful here as well. Only reason I'm deducting a star is the parking lot is a nightmare. I have to park so far every time I come here. Will be back soon :)

Whole wheat flatbread, avocado Mash, eggs over easy....yummmmmm!

Parking here is a breeze as they have their own open lot with plenty of spaces. Walking in,it's tough not to just be instantly mesmerized by the pure beauty of the local fresh fruit available. Beautiful peaches, nectarines, cherries and berries-it all look so gorgeous. Inside was a little cramped and I went before they were named the #1 pie shop in America,I'd imagine those tight quarters are having a time handling the crowds it's getting now. My top 3 things I love about Ikedas are as follows. 1.I've always loved the availability of their yummy tamales and really tasty chicken pot pies. Both are generally available fresh or frozen if you want to enjoy these goodies at home. 2.I've always loved the massive availability of hot sauces and snacks that both locations of Ikedas have always had on hand.I always made it a point when I was coming down the hill to stop at Ikedas in Auburn for a tasty tamale-now that I realize the Davis location is so much closer,I can see being able to enjoy those tamales and pot pies so much more often. 3.Pies-enjoying a pie from Ikedas always felt like something that locals knew and they shared with us out-of-towners whenever we happened to visit one of their 2 locations. With the recent award they received naming them best pie shop in America,I imagine those days are over and the secret is out.Now everyone will know what we knew way back when and hopefully this doesn't change them,I hope they can keep the high level of quality with what I'm sure will be a huge leap in demand-I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they can. A bonus thing I love about Ikedas is their fruit freezes-they are so good,my niece hipped me to these and man are they worth the price of admission alone-they are so yummy-do yourself a favor and make sure to try one of these on your next trip to Ikedas. In closing, I'm so happy that Ikedas is finally getting the flowers they deserve with their recent award and I am proud to say I voted for them myself. If you haven't had the pleasure of visiting one of their two locations,do yourself a favor and get out there and grab some yummy fruit and a piece of pie-it's a good day spent for sure.

I've got to say if there was a higher award possible, they'd win that too. The pie was fresh and delicious. I could taste every ingredient. I can tell they don't skip any steps in their pie making process. Their success is justified. Expect lines to remain long and the demand for their pies to stay high. It's worth it. Can't wait to go back and try their apple pie. $30 isn't much when the pie tastes like it was made in heaven.

Those are all very valid reasons to love this place alone, but for me this place has a few sentimental reasons that I enjoy them and value them so much. One I remember when my children were quite young and they would stay at their grandmothers in the Bay Area for days at a time and when we did the kid exchange it was always done at the Pedricks parking lot and then the kids and I would walk into the market and they would each pick out a treat-I cherish those memories. The other thing I think about Pedrick is way back when, during the time when the Covid-Era lockdown was coming to an end,I remember the 1st day they told us we could begin going outside again, the very 1st place the wifey and I drove to was Pedricks. We jumped in the car in Natomas and beelined straight for some fresh fruit and veggies and whatever other treats we could find that day at Pedricks. It was such a joy to see them open and fully stocked that day,I might as well have been going to Disneyland,we were so happy to see people again. Fast forward to today and I find myself going here about once a month, whenever I'm either driving to or from the Bay Area usually visiting relatives. It's a great spot to pick up the freshest and tastiest fruits and veggies to bring to events. I am also a certified ChiliHead,so their vast collection of hot sauces is unmatched in the area-a true must stop spot for anyone who considers themselves a hot sauce connoisseur. Yep other things that really stand out at Pedricks is their wide variety of fresh nuts available for purchase-they truly have so many varieties and flavors at pretty decent pricing. I also really enjoy their candy selection,I truly need to use extreme discipline when I gaze upon their candy offerings as they have so much and as much of a sweet tooth as I have,I have to learn often to just say no and walk away-I'm glad it's here though. In closing,In case it's not obvious,I really truly do recommend Pedricks as it's a great market offering some of the best fruits and veggies in the area, along with so much more. Love this place.

It was busy with lots of visitors from little kids to college students to grandparents. We went at Halloween time, so there was also a pumpkin patch. You pay at a cashier station at the front & receive a hand stamp. Children up to 12 years are $6, while 13 years+ are $4. However, for each paid child admission, an adult gets in for free. You then walk to the gate entrance of the barn area & listen to some instructions from staff about handling animals & not running, supervising younger children, etc. No food or drinks are allowed, so a lot of bottles were left in a hay bale area by the entry. We were able to get up close & personal with chicks, chickens, ducklings, ducks, geese, turkeys, goats, ponies, a calf, piglets, bunnies, a donkey, & kittens! Little one really enjoyed getting to groom the small goats with available brushes & combs. The goats just wandered the enclosed area. Most animals were in pens you could enter or reach into. There's some signage about the animals & protocols/warnings for how to interact with them, such as making sure to be sitting on hay bales while holding animals securely & closing gates. Staff went around to correct people who weren't following safety rules. You can spend as much time as you want seeing all the animals. At times we had to be patient waiting for a turn. Occasionally we saw the chicks being swapped out to get a rest from the petting. The animals were fairly docile & quiet. Apparently the animals are for sale. A hand washing station is off to the side of the barn.
