Seating is somewhat limited, and if the restaurant is busy and you come in with a large (like more than 4) group you're probably SOL. Most of the tables are two tops, and half of them run along a shared bench on the side of the restaurant and are quite close together. There are maybe six inches of space between those tables, so even being nowhere near the thickest person I know, I struggled to squeeze in and out of the bench seating. Anyway, once you squeeze into your seat, you use the QR code on the table to both browse the menu and place your order. You can add to your order once you place it, which I found necessary since I didn't realize at first that you have to order white rice separately. It's $2 a bowl, which is a choice, but everything else is so reasonably priced it's hard to stay mad about it. We had the shredded tofu skin salad, egg and chive, dry fried string beans, mapo tofu, and vegetable egg noodles. And a bowl of white rice. For two very hungry people, we left stuffed and had one lunch's worth of leftovers. Tofu skin salad was good, but a little sweet for my taste. Egg and chive is simple yet very tasty and filling! Dry fried string beans are excellent. Note they are a vegetarian version, which I appreciate. Mapo tofu here is nearly perfect, my only qualm is that it's a little bit on the oily side. I messed up and ordered the one with meat, which I eat but my husband doesn't. Oops! But more for me. You can order the meatless ones for those of us who are veg. The vegetable egg noodles are good, and a huge portion, although not that special in my opinion. Tastes kind of like if mushu pork was noodles. I will definitely still get the dry fried string beans and mapo tofu next time, but will probably try some dumplings and other vegetable dishes as well.

The setup is very casual; you seat yourself and order/pay off a QR code, then the food is brought to you shortly after. I like that despite the QR code ordering they still have laminated physical menus at each table, which I think makes for a nicer experience. Seating is made up of a nice handful of 4 tops and a couple areas of one-sided bar-style seating for solo diners or duos. When I went in on a Friday early evening there were plenty of people there but it was still easy to find a table. I had the Tokyo Ganzo (pork version) which comes in the jumbo size by default. I added a couple swirls of vinegar and a couple swirls of hot oil, as directed, mixed it all up and starting slurping it up immediately. The chew of the noodles with the luxurious, glossy sauce feels incredibly luxurious, and the pork bits are both perfectly browned and flavorful and melt in your mouth. The jumbo size is perfect if you're really hungry -- I generally have a big appetite, can destroy a bowl of noodles in two minutes flat, and found the jumbo size incredibly satisfying. I can definitely see myself coming here again when I'm having a noodle craving to try more of their aburasoba.

There seemed to be one main employee responsible for the dining room so it did take a second for someone to notice us and seat us, but it wasn't too long. There are physical menus, but you order on a QR code at your table, which seems quite common at regional Chinese restaurants these days. Not a problem, the interface was easy enough to use. Note that while you order using the website, you pay the normal way. I had my husband, who is vegetarian, with me, so we went with all vegetarian dishes: mapo tofu, stir fried baby bok choy with chiles, tomato egg stir fry, sichuan cold noodles, and a bowl of white rice (which is extra charge here, womp womp). All our dishes came out pretty quickly. The mapo tofu here is excellent, and has a bit of mala but not too much. It's nice and saucy, and you definitely want to eat it with white rice to cut the spice and soak up that delicious volcanic sauce. The stir fried bok choy is excellent, perfectly cooked, and gently seasoned which was a good counterpart to the very flavorful mapo tofu. The tomato egg stir fry is a great version of this standard comfort dish. The sichuan cold noodles were actually our least favorite, as it is surprisingly quite sweet, and that's just not our preferred flavor in noodle dishes. Portions are generous all around and we brought home a small amount of leftovers. Service is fast and friendly, and prices are reasonable. We will definitely be back to try more of the menu.

That aside, we got 4 dishes, a cold app, and rice for all between 5 people.
