    Corn on the cob
    Terry P.

Ordered through Uber Eats. Fast delivery and friendly service food was still warm. I ordered Shrimp Bayou. Extra fried shrimp might I add fried to my liking. Hush puppies and corn on the cob. Everything was delicious. I should have ordered more hush puppies because they are delicious. If you are looking for authentic NOLA taste five them a try. The amount of food given is definitely great for the cost.

Stepped into the place with the feels and taste of New Orleans! The food portions were massive and flavored well! The staff were ALL friendly and very attentive! Definitely will be back!

My barber told me about their fish Friday special so I went to check it out. I was greeted immediately, which I very much appreciated. They asked if I was dining in or taking out. I told her I was taking it to go and she proceeded to tell me about the menu. I still opted for the fried catfish, which included trip pieces of fish, two hush puppies, fries and coleslaw, which I don't like. She asked if I wanted extra fries instead so I said sure, but apparently, that came with a $3 upcharge which she failed to mention and I only saw because I asked for a receipt. I also got a cup of Kool aid which they filled to the brim with ice. I took a seat at a table and waited for my food, which took about ten to fifteen minutes. Other people came in and were seated at various tables, there was music playing throughout. The place is set to look like New Orleans, so that was the art in the walls, a mural on the wall and other decor. The catfish was fresh and hot but the cornmeal made it gritty. It could've also been seasoned more. The fries could've been seasoned a bit more. The hush puppies were a bit overdone but it was a good meal, I'd go back to try other things.

Cool spot to enjoy some Cajun cuisine. Prices are reasonable. Food is flavorful. The service was great. Friendly, attentive, and courteous. Only knock is that the crawfish had an overly fishy taste to it compared to most other places. But overall, Nuttin' Betta was great

I was very happy to see this place and the service was great! Food tastes just like back home in Louisiana. Prices were pretty good as well.

We shared the platter. It was delicious! Only thing I was not super impressed by was the fried catfish. Maybe it was an off day. But everything else was stellar!! Can't wait to come back!!

I've never been disappointed ordering from here! I haven't dined inside, so I can't comment on the environment, but the food is always leaving me wanting more!

The lady at the desk was very helpful and very inviting. I appreciate that. I was sat and served right away. The food is good, good bang for your buck, the food is made at the moment you order. Their fried okra was great, they serve koolaid which was so good. I had a cup of their gumbo and it was also very tasty. Loved coming here, I believe is a family owned and operated and if you're wanting legit Cajun, this is the place for you!

Listen! If you're missing New Orleans and you miss home, just order the number 1 and get a Catfish Fillet on the side and get yourself some sweet tea or Kool Aid, hands down, can't wait to come back, I don't want to leave this seat and drive home, it's so flavorful and rich, you'll forget you're in San Antonio. I promise you.

    #5 signature special
    Jake L.

Went on a Wednesday and the place was buzzing. There were several families dining and it was still kinda quiet which is a really good sign. People happily enjoying their food. The music was really good and I was seated immediately. Though she was busy my server was very kind and helpful. With an hour to close I did not feel rushed which is really cool because this is the kind of food you want to take your time and really savor. The menu was really easy to read and had lots of options and pictures across the top. They do have a wing special on Wednesday and poboys and a selection of boils which all looked very tempting but I opted for the #5 signature special offered as a fried, grilled or blackened. I chose the blackened ( it usually takes a little longer but is really worth it. The set up looks really familiar but I can't place it. I do want to come back and try the gumbo and Bourdain balls but I gave up beef and pork for lent. The atmosphere and wall decorations are friendly and playful, they definitely give the place a New Orleans feel. The seats are set up with booths on oneside, a single long booth seat with a couple of tables joining them on the opposite and standard tables in the middle, they definitely make the most of the space provided. All the food coming out of the kitchen looks pretty good, and I'm looking forward to my plate. Oh my goodness this is delicious. The flavors are well balanced without the blackening seasoning over powering the flavor of the catfish or crawfish. The dirty rice is the best I've had in a long time. I highly recommend this spot if you miss new Orleans or you want to be spoiled for everywhere else. C'est si bon

Services was good the girls were so nice and didn't mind my grandson touching everything lol we had the kool-aid it was soooooo good 10/10 and then we got the sea food platter with fried catfish, shrimp, fried oysters, and crawfish tails everything was really good the side were red beans and rice and Mac and cheese the Mac I give a 5/5 the read beans and rice I give a 8/10 but all in all everything was good

    Grilled fish and shrimp.

First time here and everything was delicious. The sauce for the seafood boil was so good. Lots of garlic and very seasoned and not overly salty. I went for a healthier option and got my catfish and shrimp grilled instead of fried. Again, lots of flavor and hush puppies had a hint of sweetness. I wished they were closer but will make another trip over this side of town to eat here. Service was great and the ambiance was very casual and a lot of art on the walls that were New Orleans inspired.

The restaurant wasn't busy when we got there..it was one table with some people. But we couldn't pick a table to sit at. The drinks were self served. We seemed kind of rushed to order food. The red beans and rice was on point! Very flavorful.

I got 3 classics and 1 stuffed with peaches and cream. The music was a mixture between jazz, r&b, and a little funk. It added a nice touch on this rainy morning, especially jamming to James Brown. I had my family join me for brunch, and unfortunately, it left us with questions. The biggest question was, "Where was the favor?" I knew I wouldn't like the chicory coffee, yet there was another option available that I enjoyed more that was a decaf. The child's plate was one of the worst kid's meal values I've seen in a while. It was $10 for one tender and a beignet. The tender was small and left my child wanting more, so I paid $7 for an extra tender. Please consider a plate that has two tenders and fruit or potatoes for older kids since this was sized for a toddler. The $10 Doggy Meal looked like it could have provided that option since it came with grilled chicken, sweet potato, and steamed rice. The adult plates had enough food for an actual meal, so we shared our plates with my child who only wanted more chicken and potatoes at that point. The Bayou BLT was okay, yet nothing to rave about. My husband wasn't impressed with the Blue Crab Omelette, and my aunt said her Catfish St. Charles was very bland. We all had an order of beignets that were tough and chewy. My husband and I have had freshly baked and powdered beignets at Cafe Du Moude, so these tiny versions were a tough sell. What did have flavor? The Bananas Foster pancakes, which was the better dessert option. While the restaurant itself was cute, expect table service to be long. We constantly waited for waitstaff to return to refill coffee, bring napkins, or furnish a needed utensil. Also, the parking will be tight. We were lucky to get spots adjacent to the restaurant rather than offsite, yet you will be watched like a hawk when you attempt to leave. People want those spots. If you want the feel of brunch with okay-ish food at expensive prices, come to NOLA the restaurant. If you're expecting to relive the actual taste of NOLA the city, start booking your next getaway for the real deal.
