On January 23 of this year we had a Nuvia salesman come to our new home in central Texas. He was knowledgeable and informative and had assured me he had installed full systems in my neighborhood and even in my model. He told me this was an easy install and even decided where the system was going to be installed in my garage. The day the installer was supposed to come out there was a big freeze and travel was dangerous so they were unable to come out and install full system which is understandable due weather conditions. I have to call them the next week to reschedule because no one had contacted me about rescheduling. When the installer shows up he has no idea what kind of system we are getting and my wife has to prove to him what system we are getting. He installs the RO system in the sink and does not have the color faucet we had picked out. He told us he would come back out and swap it out at a later date which they never did. Then he goes to install the softener system in the garage and cant find where to tie for the system. I am told that I am going to have to move my very large heavy work bench which is no problem. I move the workbench to the location they specified. Now the unit is not going to be installed where we had initially were told it was going to go, no big deal I can live with it. I move the workbench and inform the salesman that it has been moved. I am told the install team will reach out to me and get the install scheduled and again I have to reach out and set up the install. I am out of town when the installer comes out to install the unit and again he cant find where to tap into for the system. I come home and there is a poorly patched whole in the sheet rock in my garage and a water stain around a light fixture in my brand new kitchen ceiling. My wife informs me the water line they were looking for was not where they had thought. While he was looking for a way to install the system via plumbing in my attic water leaked in my attic and came out of a light fixture in my kitchen. My wife informed the installer left and then she noticed the water luckily Nuvia called my wife to reschedule so she informed them of the situation. The installed came back and verified there was no more water leak and there was not but there was a water stain around the fixture. I call the salesman to inform him of the damage to my house. Nuvia hires a 3rd party company to come out and repair the sheet rock and fix the water damage. At this point I decide I no longer want the system and I request Nuvia remove the RO system in my sink and we can go our separate ways. I also request and email from their company stating we are terminating the contract. It took them over two weeks to come and remove the system. I inspect the quality of the removal and I find the installer had just wrapped electrical tape around a 1/4" they had to drill in my sink drain for the system. I am still waiting for a email stating the canceled contract. The customer service and communication was terrible. For a company charging eight thousand dollars for a system that in reality cost about half that through any other company out there I expected a level of service and technical ability that was not delivered in the slightest. This whole thing took over two months to rectify from start to finish and was an absolute disaster from start to finish. The salesman and the installer did not their due diligence to determine the complexity of the install and I am left with no water softener system and a brand new house that now has had sheet rock repairs and water damage. Mid afternoon a semi-shady guy comes to the door, looks in our windows, NEVER knocks. I get a security alert and see him on camera. He just hangs out on the porch. He writes something down in a binder and is surprised when I walk outside to ask him what he is doing. He asks if I have seen their notices about the pandemic and "the danger". No... Who are you, I ask. He explains that they are doing a service to tell us our water is very dangerous and they are just going door to door to make sure people in the area know. He said there was a notice sent about the poor quality --- Didn't I get the card they sent?? No. He offers to come into my house to test the water and so I will know, etc. Are you from the city, I ask. No, he answers. I tell him that there is no way he is coming in the house and ask him to leave. I explain that there have been robberies in the area recently and going door to door during the day looking in windows is shady. I am a personal trainer and body builder and my girl is a nurse practioner. We live very healthy lifestyles and I used ro have an alkaline water machine but neve hooked it up after we moved in. Steve was very professional, informative, answered all our questions and showed us how we could see money in other ways. We were having 5 gallon water jugs delivered to the house monthly and they were not alkaline. Los Angeles : I warned them I would post my experience. I would absolutely recommend anyone that fell pray to their advertising trick of the certified mail and then the gift certificate to RUN and don't INSTALL anything until you've seen all the documents and payments they want. I'm sure this is a great water system, but the people selling and the way they do it is completely unethical. I was told "100 dollars a month, until the system is paid off" and I repeated my question so may times if that was really the deal - always hearing YES. So I agreed to install, understanding that if I wasn't happy with the system we could pull it out. Reverse osmosis system first. Then a week later the house system. AND then a week later, the financing contract. The 100 dollars a month wasn't a lie, however that was with a 9.95 APR so the cost of the unit after 10 years, 18K! My sale rep knew I was a first time home buyer, there was no way I could afford this. We called - and guess what. Now its $4,500 to uninstall the systems. And I missed my 3 day window to cancel. After threats on both sides of legal consequences - I had to take a loan to just pay the system off. So - there's my story. I warned the last rep I spoke with that I was so upset with this company and how unbelieably decitful they were in this process I would warn everyone I could. Same as all the other 1 star reviews - their marketing mailers are a scam. I received (for weeks) mailers saying final notice that I had a package on hold. When I called, they told me they were with my HOA and had a welcome package for me so I would schedule an appointment. They said they were sending someone to test the water to make sure it was up to HOA standards. Our representative sat in his car for about 10 minutes smoking cigarettes before coming into our house and stinking up our kitchen while downstairs. This was particularly ironic given he spent an hour and a half telling us how many carcinogens were in our water and how our kids would lose IQ points. When we told him how frustrated we were about how their marketing functioned, he said he had no idea that's how they were getting client leads. At the end of the hour and a half ordeal, he hits us with the $9500 bill for what he was selling - absolutely not. I'm sure they have good systems but I have never felt so violated to have someone's company completely lie to us just to get into our home. I hope no one else falls prey to this scam. read more

This company is owned and operated by absolute shiester cheats. Starting with the super shady 'final notice' for a parcel sent in the mail (new home owner here). They claim many things and are full of shit. The water tastes like fish, they never give you the 'free' gift card that they initially promise and if you decide to return the system within the 3 day cool down period after instillation, they charge you $1000+ for removal (and of course NEVER mention that part during the sale/in house demonstration). All in all this company is trash, their products are trash and so is the owner. I plan to drag them through the mud with the BBB like so many others have, not like it'll make any difference to their practices. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. DO NOT LET THEM IN YOUR DOOR. *EDIT* I forgot, the Nuvia system requires salt every 6 months and it's up to you to buy it (never mentioned during demo/system set up). The Nuvia system itself is expensive but if you complain about something wrong in general or want to return it during the 3 day 'no questions asked return period' the owner will drastically drop the price repeatedly to try and con you into keeping it. read more

First impression: Like many I received an unmarked postcard in the mail. It looked off but I was curious so I called. Their customer service rep was very helpful and informative so we accepted the home water test. The salesman arrived that same evening and on time. He was professional and kept his mask on the whole time. I was impressed by the presentation since it made us aware of how harmful our current water system and drinking water was. He did get a little too comfortable toward the end, but I take it as him just being extra friendly. I have to Yelp about my Nuvia system and the assistance I received from Steve and Gil. I was quite unsure about purchasing a home system- considering the expense and it I would stay in my recently purchased condo for at least 10 years? But after researching how to make my water cleaner and softer, Nuvia is definitely they top choice! For those on the fence...don't bother with the little shower head filters. You will replace them frequently and/or forget to replace them. And if you want excellent drinking water Nuvia also puts a reverse osmosis system in your sink. No more purchasing water at the supermarket and filling our environment with plastics. Most importantly, every shower or bath you take your body is not absorbing toxic chemicals! (Personally I do mineral soaks- can you imagine sitting in a bath of chemicals? And what about bathing your kids in toxins?!). Lastly, your appliances will not be exposed to hard water- so less residue on sinks, toilets, etc mean less cleaning for you. Since my installation a month or so ago, I notice my hair and skin is not as dry and I don't smell sulfur coming out of my sinks. Steve and Gill were also VERY patient with as I weighed the pros and cons, compared systems etc. They really provided the education I needed to feel confident with my investment. And it is an investment to me, my health (I try to drink a lot of water every day) and also to my home. If I ever choose to leave, I know it is a HUGE selling feature.
