I have been using NWP for over 10 years on 2 different homes. Recently they came and changed out all of our air ducts (which were very old). By replacing them and increasing the size from 10 inch to 12 inch our airflow is so much better. I just had my old, worn-out, rat-chewed ducts replaced by NWP and I am so happy with the work. Cesar and his crew really know their stuff and they were polite, hardworking and conscientious as if it were their own home. We have a tight crawl space but they did it. It was nice to see that they also cleaned out all existing sheet metal that connected to the new ducts, and they even disposed of a dead rat they found under the house. It was a big job and when the work was done, which took several days, they spent quite some time cleaning up, even the inside of the house, inspecting and cleaning out my return (which wasn't even impacted by the job), and finally running the heater while another guy was underneath checking the connections and balancing the output with the dampers. They walked through each room with me to ensure the airflow felt good and at the strength we wanted. I set two temperature gauges at both ends of the house and they are exactly even! Previously, one side of the house got all the heat or AC, and the other side didn't get anything. It is fantastic to have a warm, heated house. It was a big job and not exactly cheap but the price was fair. I strongly recommend NWP. read more

I did not have a good experience with them. They were sent to us by our home warranty company. The first appointment seemed to go fine. Caesar showed up as scheduled and was very pleasant, but then said he would get back to me once he ordered the part. He didn't call back after several days as promised. After me calling them back several times, they said the part was on order and would come in a week. Again, no word. After calling again several times, I was told the part no longer exists and they needed to completely replace my HVAC system. Apparently, they had told this to the home warranty company but NWP never called me to tell me this, even though I'd left several messages and they knew we were freezing without heat in our home during this entire time. Rather than go with my home warranty, I called a different Heating company and they were able to replace and install the part with no issues on the same day they came out. I've been told some Contractors don't like working for home warranty companies, so this may be a result of that. I can see that others who work directly with them have not had issues. Unfortunately, that was not the case for me. read more

NWP installed a new furnace in my home. The job was "completed" in early October, when they demanded the final payment. I asked if they had received approval on the final inspection for the permit, and they assured me they had. In February, while at the Permit Office in Vallejo, I was informed that I still had an open permit with them, that they had not had the final inspection. That permit will soon expire, if it has not already. By that time, one of the ducts they had installed had fallen down and torn; the wires leading to the thermostat had also fallen down across the door. I called and asked them to come out to fix, and to schedule the final inspection. They never showed, When I called to ask where they were, they rescheduled. At that later date, they sent out a technician to survey the problems; he promised he would return the following Thursday to fix them, and would schedule the inspection for Friday morning. None of these things occurred. I texted him and received no reply. So, at this point I have a working furnace, drooping and torn ducts, falling wires, no final inspection, and am missing one register because it was taken to match the size by the technician. I am moving to file a complaint with the Contractors State License Board. I would recommend you find someone else for the job. P.S. Just discovered that their license has been suspended by the CSLB for failure to post a bond. read more

Our A/C compressor unit went out right at the beginning of the current heat wave. I called NWP at 8pm, told them the issue and they said they'd be out the next day to take a look. They arrived promptly the next morning, diagnosed the issue, explained what had happened, why it happened, and said they could have it back up and running immediately. They had the parts on hand (contactor and capacitor) and recommended adding a hard start to pro-long the life cycle. In 1hr everything was done, cleaned up and we had a cool house once again. I called NPW Heating & AC and told them my A/C would not run for more than 10 minutes at a time during the day. They showed up, told me (over the phone) they could fix it for $715. So they swapped out a part they told me cost $500, collected a check from my wife, and left. The receipt did NOT list the price of the part (which is not legal for tax reasons). When I got home it was obvious from the temperature in my house it was NOT fixed! When I complained, they wanted another $1000 to "finish the job". I ended up having to buy a whole new external compressor unit (from someone else). I have been trying to get my money back from NWP Heating & AC ever since.
