I don't live in town, but have eaten here three times. Each time the food has been magnificent. Sandwiches are served on their homemade bread (you can buy a loaf to take with you) which is delicious! Get the potato salad as a side, it was also top-notch. If you are really hungry, I suggest Katy's potatoes as a filling and delicious breakfast with fresh spinach, peppers, mushrooms, kalamata olives, roasted tomatoes and feta and pesto. Yummm! Breakfast is served all open hours. It can be noisy and busy, but it is definitely worth the wait. Don't forget to take a loaf of bread with you. You won't leave hungry or dissatisfied. read more

We stumbled upon this place accidentally as the outdoor seating for our first choice was all taken and we had our lovely huskie mix with us and it was a very fortunate accident. The place was very busy but they have a few tables outside so we were able to get a spot to sit. The staff brought us out an extra chair and were very attentive to us. Sitting outside here was very peaceful even though it's right on the road. On a Sunday morning, the road isn't too busy and the noise was negligible. The caprese scramble was fantastic! It came with great hashbrowns and a nice homemade biscuit. I only wish my partner and I had ordered a variety of dishes so I could give an honest review about the other options but the caprese was too good to pass up. This establishment is a jewel on the Oregon Coast. The food is amazing. Everything is homemade by the restaurateurs Hector and Claudia. From the breads and biscuits, to the jam and even the hashbrowns, salsa and tortillas. Not only does this cafe have the best food we have found anywhere on the Oregon coast, the owners Hector and Claudia went above and beyond for us. Our Grandpa had just had surgery and wanted a BLT and all the places who offered this menu item were closed. Even though the Nye Beach Cafe was also closed, they were willing give of themselves to make our 88 year old Gpa what he wanted to eat. Thank you Hector and Claudia. Overall the food was good and atmosphere was nice. The food was a little pricy for the size of the dish. But as said before it was good! Did notice a fly around but it was because of the open windows. Delicious cafe spot very close to the beach. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast right before walking along NYE beach in Newport. Service was fast and friendly. I personally never eat omelettes, but ordered the "mama's boy" omelette which included Italian sausage and pesto sauce. It also came with toast, with delicious Marion berry jelly. Must recommend. Been here twice now. Great corned beef hash with nice chunks of tender, juicy meat. Very flavorful. Their slumgullian is great and very filling. It's of a mix of clam chowder with shrimp and (I think) mozzarella folded in and served with garlic bread. Excellent!! This was a great place to eat a late breakfast. First of all their Marionberry Mimosas were delightful. And who would have thought that the chile rellenos would be amazing. I am from New Mexico but I though I would be brave and order them anyway here in Oregon. My husband was jealous he didn't order them.
