So so good. The breakfast hash was packed full of house-made corned beef and roasted veggies, and the toast & jam were delicious, too. Service was above and beyond. My toddler dropped his milk bottle and it rolled into the kitchen, and without a moment's hesitation, one of the staff not only picked it up, but also wiped it and disinfected it before handing it back. read more

You know when you are craving a very specific breakfast, well I was craving that and Nye Beach Cafe delivered! There was about a 15 minute wait, but it was nice outside so we just people watched on the sidewalk. We were sat inside by the kitchen and ordered our coffee shortly after. They were busy but service was pretty quick, the staff were all super friendly. We ordered the baked French toast and traditional breakfast. We got sides of bacon and their sausage patties and both were so dang delicious! The sausage had a perfect amount of rich flavor/ seasoning and was so tender. The bacon too was cooked and rendered so well. The French toast was amazing, I would recommend it to anyone, it wasn't too sweet and had a nice crunch with the nuts. The biscuit was tender and went great with their jam. Very worth the wait! read more

The food is delicious! We have been here 5 times at least BUT this last visit we waited for food almost an hour and it was not that busy. They had several empty tables. They had a new young girl as a waitress and she didn't check on us one time!!! I had to get up and go find her to ask for coffee twice. Never offered or refilled water once and she sat in the kitchen talking to another older waitress the whole time. It was terrible! We have a toddler who had to wait that long for French toast. Two tables came and left while sat and there were only three of us!!! They never even apologized. The guy who runs it is amazing and he needs to let the other two go and find people who actually check on the tables and do their job. read more

We first stopped here 18 months ago when the restaurant was changing hands. We were pleasantly surprised when this breakfast spot was implementing an Hispanic twist. Fast forward, we made a special trip to stop by and have brunch. Not a disappointment. I had the breakfast burrito with hash browns and my partner had the portobello mushroom hash. Absolutely amazing. Say what you want. This is a family run place that takes pride in where they came from. TL;DR: reliable food safety. Kitchen looks clean and appliances look new. Yummy homey food. Parking: street-side. May be difficult during peak hours. Atmosphere: small cafe-like setting. Limited seating. Parties larger than 4 will be slightly hard to accommodate if you want to all sit together. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the kitchen and how shiny and new the appliances appeared. Service: wait to be seated, order at the table, you will be watered, check brought to you. Friendly staff. Menu: simple two page menu with good descriptions. Kid Friendliness: Highchairs, crayons, and kids' menu. Kid's get a disposable cup with lid and straw. French Toast: delicious and fluffy. Maple syrup comes in a small dispenser jug. Side Bacon: evenly cooked and not overly crunchy, greasy, or shriveled. Perfection. Side Scrambled Eggs: A bit on the thin side but tasty nonetheless. I wish they were a tad fluffier but they came flatter than a pancake. Not flavored on their town, I recommend drizzling some ketchup on them. read more

We showed up pretty early and they were already a little busy but we were still able to grab a table right away. We got a breakfast sandwhich and French toast which was DELICIOUS. Both were tasty and cooked perfectly. We also ordered a side biscuit which was pretty good, I should have asked for some honey to sweeten it up a little. My husband doesn't like eggs and they swapped them for avocado without hesitation which was incredibly kind. Ambiance is fun, busy diner vibes. Stopped in for breakfast on Sunday morning around 730. Nobody around, plenty of street parking. The cafe is cute and small, a handful of tables inside and a few out. They've got a decent breakfast menu. We grabbed a couple of traditional plates with eggs, toast, and hash browns. Everything was flavorful without being too salt heavy, and the house coffee was great. Service was cordial and friendly. We'd definitely stop by again. read more

Such a great little spot in NYE beach. It was close to our hotel, and thankfully open early, which was great because we generally get an early start. Service was great, he was friendly, attentive and everything came out quickly and was tasty. They have some great unique menu items, local art for sale adorns the walls, and the vibe was great. We enjoyed everything we tried (breakfast sandwich, biscuits and gravy and 2 different breakfast burritos, as well as the baked French toast). You won't be disappointed if you give it a try. read more

Great spot next to a couple other cute shops you can walk through when you're done eating Reasonable prices really cute atmosphere lots of local artist paintings on the wall. To say we were disappointed with the salmon dish, is an understatement. the salmon was overcooked, the vegetables, for the season were uninspiring (broccoli and carrots) and the mash was thin, like there was too much water and not enough heavy cream and butter added to it. the Burrata salad was delicious but the tomatoes were not heirloom, as it should be. I'm giving this restaurant three start only because of our seating - at a window facing the ocean - and the nice decor.

The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with that laid-back coastal charm that fits Nye Beach perfectly. The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing -- you can tell they genuinely care about their customers and take pride in what they're serving. I ordered the Chilaquiles special, and it did not disappoint. It had that perfect balance of flavor and comfort, with just enough kick to keep things interesting. My friend went with the Dungeness crab omelette, which was packed with flavor and cooked beautifully. What I really loved about this café is that it blends American breakfast classics with a little Mexican flair. It's truly a "something for everyone" kind of menu -- whether you're craving a hearty omelette or bold, savory chilaquiles, you'll find a winner. I also tried their clam chowder. I order the baked French toast with Marion berries. My husband ordered Mamas boy omelette with a biscuit. In my opinion the title baked French toast is misleading. It doesn't taste baked. It tastes doughy. Also, when I got it I asked for whipped cream which the menu said the item came with. The server told me they were out. This would have been nice to know as I was ordering because it would have changed my order. When I was half way through taking apart my French toast order, she stopped by and said she made some for me. The whipped cream made a difference but it doesn't change the fact that the French toast was a bust and tasted like it came from a microwave. My husbands omelette looked good but honestly lacked a little flavor. We both weren't very impressed and believe it wasn't worth $22.25. If we would have known we would have gone to McDonald's for a quarter of what we spent or to a better cafe. Maybe their other food is what makes this place so highly rated? read more

Not that they need another stunning review . . . but these gals keep earning 'em! Especially for those of us who LOVE comfort foods, like clam chowder, crab cakes and all the Oregon Coast classics, but don't want the gluten. I don't know that there's anywhere else in town that offers the quality, the deliciousness or the wonderful service of Nye Beach Cafe. They've earned a stellar reputation with locals and tourists alike. Plus, the food is sooooo good. I'd rather eat there than anywhere else in Newport, even if they didn't have amazing (and often hard to find) gluten-free options. Great service with a smile. Neat wood tables and coffee bar. If you are seated inside a d look up, you'll notice the fans are all linked together so that only motor is needed to run them! Smart! Everyone's food was perfectly cooked including our eggs, and the home-made gravy was delightful and savory. There are 2 places in the menu to find breakfast so be on the lookout for the almost hidden menu. The French toast is thick and plentiful. The bacon is thick and long. Highly recommend checking out this small, Mexican-owned restaurant! From the moment we walked in, the service was amazing--super welcoming and attentive. The restaurant was also very clean and spacious, which made the experience even better. The food was delicious! I tried two dishes. First was Uncle Floyd's Burrito, which was really good (especially with Cholula and ketchup). The second was the Spicy Tuna, and WOW--this dish was absolutely amazing.
