The smoke really comes through, which I love! Solid bbq--enjoyed the brisket, smoked turkey and kicking chicken (except not spicy as advertised). Really cute little interior and service was friendly. Would definitely return while here

The Service dog was placed in a food coma by the brisket -- respect to the Chef!

On a cold rainy day, while stuck in a hotel, we were contemplating what to eat on our last day in Chesterfield. We were tired of the rain, tornados, and awful Conference we had been exposed to for 4 days. We wanted to go to a museum but couldn't determine where the flood zones were located so I'm we opted for the safety of the hotel. Then ... we got hungry! We needed food brought to our door! We had come to the STL and not had BBQ! It was shameful! We searched Yelp and found O'B. Que's. It was close and would deliver!! We ordered and hungrily waited! The food was delicious! We were sated, safe, and dry. We watched The Emoji Movie, and fed the Service dog strips of Brisket (which he enjoyed so much he fell into a food coma)! The only problem was ... We forgot our mission! We must have been waterlogged! We BOTH ordered catfish dinners! They were delicious but we STILL left STL without BBQ! Unless, you want to count the comatose dog eating the 2 oz of brisket! It sure did look good!!

While I was hesitant when I heard about a BBQ joint attached to a convenience store at a gas station, I'm glad I gave it try. I had the two meat plate, which came with a fountain drink and two sides. I went for the burnt ends, pulled pork, with potato salad and vinegar slaw. Burnt ends pretty good, good crust. Pulled pork a little on dry side, but good smoke and seasoning. Vinegar slaw excellent. The winner for me were the homemade sweet sauce and the spicy sauce - sweet sauce had a good amount of molasses; spicy sauce was vinegar based with the right amount of heat. Excellent prices. Excellent service - give them a try!

Hubby and I were craving some Bar-B-Que, and have been hearing nothing but good things about this place. We decided to venture to Chesterfield to give it a try. First impression, I almost passed up the building as it is connected to a gas station and a car wash, and the parking lot entrance is easy to miss, so I bypassed it and had to turn around. There's plenty of parking outside the building. Once you get inside, there are about 5 booths, and 2 high top tables. So there's limited seating inside. There are a few tables outside you can sit at during the warmer weather. You order your food at the counter and the menu is on the wall. It's a pretty straight forward menu, and no pricing is listed. The cashier was friendly and answered all the questions we had, the young man that brought our food out was polite and friendly as well. My husband and I decided to order two combos. I ordered two meats: Brisket and ribs with two sides Mac n cheese and baked beans. Hubby ordered three meats: Smoked turkey, brisket and ribs, with two sides: Mac n cheese and baked beans. We also ordered a small order of the dirty chicken. All the meats were delicious and Cooked to perfection. The ribs were tender and easily fell off the bone. The brisket was so tender, seasoned to perfection and not fatty or greasy. The brisket and ribs were my absolute favourite. I'm not a big turkey eater, but my husband said it was good. The mac n cheese and baked beans I did not like. The mac n cheese noodles seemed to be undercooked. They were still a little hard. They had a texture to them that I didn't like. There was too much cheese sauce and it lacked in flavour. The baked beans had a vinegar taste to them and needed more seasoning. Overall, I would definitely come back because the bar-b-que was delicious. It's a must try!

Came here early afternoon for lunch. It's small inside and attached to a gas station. There's both indoor and outdoor seating. The menu is up on a board and you order at the register. The place was clean and the staff was friendly. Unfortunately they didn't have the menu item I wanted available which was a bummer. We ordered the brisket sandwich with coleslaw, burnt ends flat bread, and the wings with Mac & cheese. I just wasn't a fan of the food. The Mac was tasteless noodles way overdone, brisket had nice color on it but again the flavor was missing. The flatbread was almost like a cracker and also lacked the flavor you'd expect from bbq. With the variety of options we had and the pretty good reviews we saw I was hoping something would justify us going back but I just can't.

Came here by a recommendation and I it was pretty good! The service was really nice. The inside was spacious and plenty of seats. The lady up front helped me pick out the popular items. The wings were tender but kinda over seasoned. The ribs were really good and tender. The sides I really didn't care to much for I thought they were okay. Rib tips were fire as well as that turkey sandwich. Both were tender and enjoyable! Oh and the cornbread was killer!

Stopped by O'B Que's on a weeknight. There were two other tables. Several people came in for carryout while I was there. I ordered the Burnt Ends Flatbread and a side of French Fries. This is owned by the same people who own O'B Clarks on Brentwood and the pizza crust tasted the same to me. It was a rectangular St. Louis style crust with BBQ sauce, cheese, and burnt ends. Pretty simple but I thought it was very crisp and tasty even though they're not making the crust. I liked the BBQ sauce and the meat. The French fries were your basic bagged crinkle cut and cooked slightly under in my opinion. Cons: There are only about 5-6 tables. While I was there 3 of the tables were dirty and no one ever came out to clean them off. They serve the pizza in a pizza box. I thought this was an odd choice if you're dining in and a little wasteful. Service: There is none! I'm sure I'll be back to try the BBQ when it's not on the pizza!

Today I was meeting up with a former work colleague and friend from Australia. It just so happened that we were in town at the same time. She was having a business lunch meeting at Annie Gunn's, so we decided to meet there after the meeting. I didn't eat, but they did during their meeting and quite enjoyed the food. The three of us (my former colleague and a current colleague of hers) all enjoyed a tea while we caught up. It absolutely tasted fresh brewed. Their first waiter left without clearing the table, so when the new server cleared it up and was so kind, she was rewarded with a nice tip and some Lindt pistachio truffles, which I brought for my friends. 98% of my reviews include photos, but because we were all caught up in conversation, I didn't take any this time. This restaurant is easy to get too, has adequate parking and the restaurant itself is casual and inviting. The staff welcomed us and were very friendly and attentive. 5 stars for Sawmill BBQ Pub & Grill…read more We were originally trying to go to another barbecue restaurant but they ran out of brisket (WHAT!). Then I typed in some great barbecue restaurants on Yelp, and there appeared Sawmill BBQ Pub & Grill. It looks like just a regular bar with a music stage, but don't judge a book by its cover - the food is amazing. The portions are massive and the prices are reasonable, as are the drink prices. This is definitely more of a locals joint, but definitely worth stopping in for anyone if you want some St. Louis style BBQ. The brisket platter was the best - big portions, 2 sides and 2 pieces of garlic bread. The Jalepano Mac and cheese balls are awesome, so much flavor. The salmon platter was also very tasty and fresh. The live music is fun (but loud), and our waitress was nice. Overall, if you what BBQ and are in the area, this is definitely worth checking out.
