I can't speak for any of the food here, but the drinks are great. I am a big fan of the hummingbird and ruby collins cocktails. The bartenders here are very friendly and nice to talk with. A short but sweet love letter to O'Flaherty's... My friend and I were in town for a Depeche Mode concert at nearby SAP. We were wandering around trying to find an affordable bite, nothing quite seemed to click. AND THEN....we heard Depeche playing in a restaurant. And not in a cool coincidence kind of a way, in a what the hell is this obscure song doing playing on a restaurant's overhead way. It was marvelously deliberate. We walked in, and everyone seated was dressed in black and singing along. Our people! And indeed Depeche played the whole time we were there. We shared a basket of curry fries (big yum!), and I ordered a Manhattan with Jameson Orange. Our server was so nice and friendly, the vibe was of course incredible, and we were in and out quickly, all soaked up in perfect pre-show vibe. Along with serving a great drink and tasty eats, O'Flaherty's did the genius thing by luring folks like us in, by leaning into the moment. Endless props for starting our night out beautifully. This is located in San Pedro Square so it's easy to get to as well. I dont recommend coming here when they are busy. Solid choice for a spot to come before a Sharks game. They have a few outside seats, indoor seating, food and a very comprehensive beer selection. We just ordered the bar and found a seat outside. It's very close to the stadium and near lots of other downtown options. $7.50 for a Miller lite was a bit on the pricier side but you can get a PBR for $5. They also have tons of TV's so you could easily also just come here to watch the game if you want to. There is a parking garage directly across the street that showed a $7 flat rate. They put their hands on my brother and forced him out of the establishment by literally pushing him on the ground. He was not drunk or causing any issues. My brother was pretty injured. I approached the bouncers and they tried getting confrontational with me. We come to places like this to have a good time and enjoy ourselves, we think that the security should be protecting the guests not hurting or causing chaos. read more

This is simply a review for the curry fries. Simply try the curry fries, and then you too can review them. You will not be sorry you did! They're superlative - the mix of flavors is insane. Tip - mix/toss the fries before serving or eating - sounds weird but don't forget to do it (the masala curry sits at the bottom of the basket) We came by for a meal but the Sharks were pLting nearby so teensy tiny game day menu of maybe eight fave dishes, but not the ones we were hoping for online - and spoiler, the online menus are largely out of date. The bartender asked for our ID's and said to us "let's act like we've been to a bar before people." The food might be great, but we'll never have the opportunity to know because we were here for two hours and our waiter refused to serve us. Our waiter came once for our drinks, I asked for a sample of two drinks and the waiter made a nasty face, saying "If you did this on a Friday or Saturday night, you just wouldn't get your drink." I go to many bars and restaurants and this is a normal thing, but he acted self-important. Needless to say, he never came back with my samples but another waiter brought my two friend's drinks. After that, our waiter never came to check on us again. The kitchen closed at 9, and we got up twice to go request service. The second time, we went to our waiter at 9:13 and he said through a sneer, "Oh, sorry but the kitchen is closed." That was intentional. We were SO disappointed, not to mention HUNGRY. He didn't serve us because he didn't want to, that is unacceptable. Do not support this kind of self-righteous, snobby behavior. Find somewhere else to eat. Long overdue review. Went here for my birthday on the weekend of April 8. Good time drinking with friends and we made a toast to me turning 30. One of my friends clinked the glass too hard and it cracked on the side and once I noticed it, I told them to go grab a new glass of beer instead. Let the bartender know it's a broken glass. Tell me why the bartender thought it was a good idea to just DUMP the remaining beer into a new pint glass???? You're suppose to grab a whole new drink all together! I don't care if we get charged for a new drink. Anyway, When we did get the glass back, I stopped my friend before she drank it and asked if this was "new" beer or if they just transferred the old beer into a new glass. She said she didn't know. Sure enough, I did see BROKEN GLASS inside the new pint glass that the bartender poured from the broken one. This could've gone south real fast but I'm glad I caught it. It's been a long time since I worked in the food industry but you test for this kinda stuff (Servsafe Certification) when you work this job and that guy MAJORLY failed. read more

The entire staff from Marques at the door to Ariel, Brittany, Ben, and Heidi behind the bar. For food, stick to the grilled cheese or the spicy chicken sandwich. The bar has no bells and whistles. Don't expect to get egg whites in your whiskey sour. It's an Irish pub after all. But what you can expect is a wide selection of beer, sours, and scotch whiskey. O flats is such a fun time! I remember coming here during college and decided to revisit and relive it. It did not disappoint. There's a wide selection of beer, it won't be hard finding what you want. My bartender, Ariel, was so nice. Of course, I got a Guinness at an Irish pub! I needed the full experience. They also have daily events such as karaoke nights on Sundays/Mondays, live Irish music on Tuesdays, and Trivia nights on Wednesdays as well as other live bands on some nights! Ive been going to O'Flats for 12+ years. It was my go-to place to watch sports and post-Sharks games hang out. I've had a lot of good times here. The staff and bouncers are great. They have always been friendly enough and they do good work at handling the crowds when they get busy. My feedback is that as of 2021-2022 the beer selection has gone down from the many tabs they used to have and the prices hiked considerably for all drinks & beers. I'm assuming this is because of the prime sj location and post-covid economy. I hope at some point the prices come down a bit so a pint of beer doesn't cost $12. Cheers! read more

DISCRIMINATION ALERT! If you have a special needs child this is NOT the place for you. Our 8 year old son on the autism spectrum needed to let off some steam by walking back and forth. We were in the outdoors area and he was only walking by two populated tables. Suddenly we are getting harassed by security trying to quote CDC guidelines. I guess they are not educated on the latest news from what the CDC recommendations are. At this point we felt so humiliated that we just wanted our check but no one came for about a half hour after this ordeal. Interesting that people can have little dogs literally laying on their tables, because that's more hygienic than a child walking around outdoors right?
