Worked with Ben today to get a lighting issue in our garage fixed. Ben was professional, attentive to me even through my rambling, and transparent about repair options from the get-go. After testing a couple of different problem sources, he fixed the lighting quickly, educated us about options for the future, and went on his way. What we appreciated most were Ben's patience and honesty. We aren't versed in electrical issues and so we automatically think any problem that arises is associated with our very old electrical panel. While we've had electricians in the past then try to talk us into costly replacements, Ben assured us that the panel was not the source of our current problem, which he fixed at their tiered rate system's lowest rate. He then offered us some advice for our kitchen area instead of forcing another quote. All in all, we feel that Ben thoroughly discussed options with us, was up front about pricing, and also gave us the most affordable options without being pushy and intrusive or making us feel ashamed about our admittedly outdated set-up. Well we've found our new "go-to" Electrician! We moved to a new home a month ago and found many major electrical problems. Lights not working, shortages, etc. O'Hagan came today with 2 electricians and did a wonderful job. They did a full-house diagnostic service efficiently and effectively. They also made some repairs for us, as well, and got lights working again and installed some dimmers, and gave us advice for fixing some of the more challenging problems in the future. He returned as scheduled a week later, installed the lights (alone) and the light switches. I was happy until I noticed a bank of lights in my house was out. I called to have him return as soon as possible to troubleshoot the light outage. He returned, fixed the bank of lights where a wire was dropped, and left. Contacted Stephen from O'Hagan about wiring a high gauge wire for a hot tub. He showed up on-time to give me a quote and even did another one in a weekend. Steve personally went into the Laguna Beach city building permit office to review the proposed rewire 2 days after looking at the job. This was prior to our agreeing on a cost. If I had to use 3 words to describe Stephen and his team, they would be skilled, professional, and punctual. I wanted to have installed 3 electrical ground wires for my backyard and courtyard. Stephen went above and beyond the call of duty--the consult was thorough and estimate very reasonable.
