We had a wonderful experience at O'Mara's and we can't wait to go back! It was a quiet Monday and we visited for dinner. It was clean and spacious with a great music playing. Our server was so great and attentive. After ordering, our server brought the most delicious bread and a small mixed green salad. The bread was so soft, perfectly salted and just so good. You can tell all the food is so fresh and made to order. We really enjoyed the chicken pot pie. Instead of a pie crust it was a large flaky croissant on top. It even had sweet potato! We also enjoyed the blue Mac and cheese. Definitely very bleu cheesy so don't order it unless you're a bleu cheese fan! It had a very strong flavor and was super cream and delicious. We can't wait to go back!

We stopped in for lunch around 1pm. We were attending a local street festival. The restaurant was empty with only on other couple. The decor was irish and there was a stage for a live band so it looks like this could be a happening place so maybe it was slow because of all th street vendors and activities that day.. My father ordered first but the restaurant was out of prime rib, and prime rib sandwich so he settled on sliders. I had the fish. The waitress was kind but never brought napkins when asked or refilled my father's soda. The food was subpar at best nothing to rave about. I did like that there was a 360 degree mirror in the women's restroom. Had some fun in there. Might think about coming back around St Patrick's day to give it another shot. Might have just got them on a bad day.

My family has been coming here for decades. This was the first time we were back since they rebuilt after their fire. It's good to be back! I took my mom out for Valentine's dinner and it was really fun. They had live music and a pre fix menu. The wine was flowing and the vibe was fun. The lighting was fun too. My mom had the fish and chips and I'm really glad she let me try it because it was delicious. I enjoyed my lobster tacos. It was a special for the night and a nice treat. Delicious bread pudding for dessert. Full bar. Everyone is very nice here. One of the owners came and chatted with us and welcomed us back. Excellent service. Plenty of parking in their lot. And you can drive right up to the front door and drop people off or pick them up. Outdoor patio too. The women's bathroom is a delight! So fun with a bridal mirror so you can step up and see yourself from all angles. It's a good time here.

At dinner the service was ok, but this Irish Bar should stick to pub food. The sauted fish n'chips were deep fried, the potatoes were cold and the cole slaw was over the top spicy. The plastic glasses were tacky. The performer Cliff Erickson was excellent and saved the night.

1/2 rueben and 1/2 chicken nacho leftovers.

I wish an Irish bar around here would have popular Irish dishes like a spice bag, sausage rolls, an all-day Irish breakfast or even an old- fashioned, bog standard Irish summer salad. If it's an Irish bar have some Irish food not the same menu as every other bar. I'd pay good money for an Irish Sunday roast in the winter. Having heard good things about their Burgers I opted to go with their Classic Cheeseburger and fries for $15 and two of their house margarita's which were the drink of the day on Tuesdays for $5 apiece. Realtive to the burger, it was quite large at 1/2 lb and definately a two hander. It was well made, quite juicy, with fresh veggies and very very tasty. The fries were well made as well with a nice crunchy texture and quite tasty in their own right. Lastly my two Margarita's very well made and oh so good where I had only planned on getting one but opted for two after the first sip. NICE! At $5 a piece this was an absolute steal! Relative to facility and staff, the restaurant is visually very appealing with vibrant Irish accents, neon sign's everywhere and TV's scattered to allow you to watch the big game of the day while enjoying your meal. The decor defiantely adds a lot to the dining experience. Staff was very friendly with great follow up throughout. Overall this is a great bar/restaurant whose reputation is well deserved. I definately will be returning in the near future, probably on a Tuesday, so I can get some more of those tasty margarita's. :)

Small gripe though I thought they were light on the tequila as I should at least have felt at least a tingle in my toes after three but alas no tingle (:. On the topic of local businesses, they also had a board which allowed local owners to post business cards and event alerts, fantastic for drawing the community together. Now, I ordered a Reuben as a lover of corned beef and sauerkraut. It was delicious and sizeable, a fair portion size for the money as well. The chips were also delicious having gone for the salt, pepper, and onion variety. A solid crunch and bursting with flavor. Among the positives I have two negatives, both of which are not adequate enough to lower their star ranking. Firstly, it took around 20-25 minutes to get our food after ordering. I rarely hold timing against a restaurant as having worked in food, I know lunch rush exists and things happen. To mitigate this (for those in the area) I believe they have an online ordering system, which I would recommend utilizing! Secondly, they do not have indoor seating, so it is a very grab and go type establishment. This is counteracted by the multitude of benches around Royal Oak, though it would be nice to have some amount of seating, especially for those with accessibility needs and those waiting on their food. Overall, Oak House Deli is solid and delicious and I will definitely stop by again when I am in the area!
