The guy went off on my brother saying how he took all day to do it when it wasn't stable nor half way done he went to the restaurant an talked about us once he came back us he scream at us that "where is his sorry" he told us a few times i approached him an told him there's no warning that gives the costumers a heads up about him building the fence he was upset going off on me I told him we are costumers buying from you guys all these could've been prevented it you would've had a sign up! I ordered a pomegranate iced tea and it was never empty or anywhere near it. Fantastic. Our food came out quickly enough and the chicken katsu was a little crispy but still delicious. The ramen was great. The pork was tender, the egg was delicious, and my boyfriend was overjoyed about the good amount of green onions. The noodles were cooked perfectly and the broth was tasty. My only grievance is that there are only two types of hot ramen in the menu. The third is now blocked off the menu. With one of them being spicy I can really only order one type of hot ramen and honestly I'd appreciate more variety. There are two cold options but I prefer the hot broth variety. I love this menu! The staff is also incredibly friendly and inviting. Along with being super helpful, they give great recommendations on your tastes. I love all the broths here for ramen, but the noodles are why i love this place. The texture is great as well as the amount. YES. Finally a great, non-pretentious Japanese restaurant in Bakersfield. Very casual atmosphere, friendly staff, short wait to be seated... Oh yeah, and BOMB Japanese food. I was impressed by the selection even before we ordered. There was quite a bit to choose from, but I had to order the Takoyaki because I hadn't had it in so long. It came piping hot (it actually burned my mouth because the exterior didn't look that hot) and smothered in all the bonito, mayo, eel sauce, etc. you'd expect from a good Takoyaki. My meal also came with a small salad, which had a really tast vinaigrette on it that my girlfriend and I had to wonder at. Our entrees were the Tantanmen that other people on here have been raving about, and the chicken katsu-don. The tantanmen was good and spicy, and chock full of all the fixings.
