We were on a road trip from LA to Yosemite so we wanted to have some quick food in Bakersfield since it's along our route. Found this ramen place and decided to give it a try. Honestly we weren't expecting too much since it's not a very big town (and frankly there are a lot of good ramen places in LA). But this place really surprised us!!! There were decent amount of traffic to the restaurant and their food was good!!!!!!! Portion was very decent, the ramen broth was very flavorful, noodle was good too! My wife got the tonkotsu and I got the spicy tonkotsu, which has a very nice kick to it. The garlic fried rice we ordered was the biggest surprise, it was very delicious!!!!!! The other bowl we got was the salmon rice, it was more on the fair side. Overall we were extremely happy with the lunch we had there! read more

My wife and tried this place (O Ramen) for the first time about 2 months ago and today makes our sixth visit. O Ramen is by far our favorite! We have been to several other ramen restaurants including in Bakersfield, LA and Chicago but they just can't beat O Ramen. Great food, fast service and a nice family friendly atmosphere. Im extremely disappointed with the service I recieved on Saturday 1/28/23. I am a long time customer and should not be treated in this manner. I got to the restaurant to pick up my To-go order and the lady could not find my food. She then realized that another customer had taken it. She insisted in calling the customer back to have the customer bring back the food. I told her that I was not going to take food that someone else had already taken and touched, she kept saying "no I will call him back and have them bring it back and I told her I will not take the food, please make me new food as someone else has already touched it. After trying to call the customer to no avail she finally told the cook to make me new food. When I questioned the price, she rudely shouted and put her hands in my face saying its $4.00 extra for the shrimp, the other customers inside the restaurant even turned around to look due to how loud she was. Then, when I asked for more oil and chili she rudely grabbed the containers out of my hand to add more, and to top it off when I was leaving she reached over, squeezed my arm and in a very sarcastic manner said " hey, dont forget to leave a review." This is absolutely unacceptable, and I will no longer be returning. People should be treated with respect, especially when people are paying to get food and service at your establishment. Another place I got to try out before leaving town. I used to go to Kamisama for my ramen fix, so I was excited that ANOTHER ramen place opens. I had the Tantanmen, which has just the right amount of spicy kick. Sadly I didn't try the monkey balls that everyone raved about (my homeboy doesn't like mushrooms :P). O Ramen is definitely better than Kamisama ramen. The portion is large for the price and fills you up. The broth is tasty. Noodle has a great consistency. This is now going to be my go-to ramen place when I do come back to town so I can explore the rest of the menu. read more

I waited so long for this place to finally open! My boyfriend and I went in for a late night ramen treat (9 p.m), and were certainly pleased with the size and quality of the ramen we were presented with. I'm not sure how this place is rated so highly. The salmon and tuna sashimi I ordered was not fresh at all. The ramen was stuck together on the bottom of the bowl. Pretty much it's precooked ramen with soup poured over it. The broth is not the creamy ramen broth I'm use to. The egg in the ramen was overcooked and not fresh. Today i tried the tantanem ramen if i remember correctly on hoe to spell it, and let me tell you it was delicious it had so much flavor with a little spiciness to it!
