Today, I'm in line behind a cop. She's friendly as could be with the guy, even flirty, ok whatever. But me, I had to wait until the guy was walking out the door before she would stop ogling him and take care of me. Then the tude starts. Asked her to order shocks, "warehouse only has one" "Can you order them?" "Don't know, warehouse shows I can only get one for tomorrow". "I don't need them for a week, can you check and see if you can get them in a week?". "Well the warehouse only shows one available, sooo...." All the time, stone faced and attitude. It is such an iconic location and a lifeline to the past when personal service, warmth and small town charm and friendliness held sway. Prices are sometimes better than one of the other auto parts stores, and are almost always genuine replacements, and not OEM equivalents. The staff is knowledgeable and courteous. I've had them offer to replace wiper blades, batteries and other easily changeable parts - but half the fun is doing it myself. There's a great selection of tools and aftermarket equipment for those who really like to get their hands dirty. I would highly recommend this NAPA outlet if you're a shade tree mechanic, run a large volume repair shop, or somewhere in between.
