Located on the corner of Waialae Avenue and Saint Louis drive, you can't miss it. There's a few free stalls available in the front, but it's a bit hard to get out of there with the busy cross streets. There are also more parking stalls across the street, but you do have to pay. I like to go during off hours because I know there will be free parking right outside and the traffic on the cross streets are light. It's both a take out and sit down location. Although I've always ordered take out, I would one day sit down as it's BYOB. My favorite is the carne asada fries. It's a bit pricey, but they give a lot with a lot of carne asada. Yummmmm. I kind of wish they had ala carte portions so I can order one taco with my fries. I do like variety of foods and it's too much to order the fries and a meal. Everything is so fresh that it's best to eat it at that moment than to save it for later. The staff here were a hit or miss. Hmm. For some reason this business has two yelp pages for the same location. Lol. But omg it's back! And it's near my house! I was excited that 1. It's not in the middle of Waikiki 2. It's 5 mins away from me! I used to go to the pucks ally location before it was torn down. I eventually forgot about the place and then craved it one random day and it was gone! I noticed over the years they re opened in Waikiki kind of by alohilani but who in the world is going there unless you work around that area or you're doing a staycation in a hotel on that side of Waikiki. The new (2nd) location is In kaimuki. They took over the Sabrina's restaurant location and is next to ripple of smiles so as you know parking can be a bit of a challenge in that particular area. But I somehow went on a off hour and had no problems with parking. It wasn't busy in there at all. Actually after I walked in two other people came in after me. The burritos start from $9 and you order from where the door is and then pay at the end after you tell them what you want in your burrito. It was a little confusing at first but I wish maybe they had a sign or something that says order here. And then another one that said pay here. Unless there was one and I'm blind. I got the carnitas burrito and it was a little bit on the salty side. But it was good overall. It wasn't what I remembered it to be so I don't know if I'll be coming back that often especially when there's something similar right down the street. Oh yea! Something has changed at Oahu Mexican grill and for the better! I have been to the Waikiki one a long time ago and thought it was OK. But the other week, we had burritos for lunch and I asked "from where"? Oahu Mexican Grill was the answer, but the Waialae one. hmmmm That's right, they are in the practically impossible to get parking, small shopping center. Anyway, the burrito I had was delicious and everyone was raving about theirs. This was a couple of weeks ago and today was the day to try this place again. I found out that they have an iPhone app and I was all over it. Here's one tip, the salsa you choose is put inside the burrito. It is not an extra that comes in a separate container. I didn't know this and choose a medium and a burning salsa (Habanero!). Well my burrito was spicy! I'm still sweating from the heat! I had the kalua pig burrito with black beans, lime/cilantro rice, sour cream etc.... It was really great!!!!! Many things that were "extra" are included now. It also passed the "local test" as these burritos were HEAVY! In short, wow, they taste really good and everything is great with the app. The only negative is the location as the parking is pretty bad and the entrance to the parking is tough too. Wasn't that impressed with the food, lacked seasoning. I have a pet peeve that beans on the side should be mashed. These were whole and lackluster. The burrito was huge, but dry and nothing special. I liked the fact that the beef was free range. Everything was fresh and good portion though. I think this is a place for college students to walk or bike to. My favorite Chipotle like experience. Actually the "braised beef" aka Barbacoa, is even better than the Chipotle's on the mainland, which can be dry and bland. How disappointing. I had added this place to my once a month burrito craving. On my last visit last night I had the worst service. It was terrible from the start. The female employee made a burrito for a customer in front of me as she finished up this order another employee started my order. That customers burrito was nice and full. The employee helping me must have been new because he had to ask what to wrap the burrito in. To begin my order he gets a tortilla and places cheese on it and places on the burner to heat the tortilla and melt the cheese. When he pulls it off the cheese has not melted at all. I asked if the heat was on because the cheese is not melted. He sigh's and responds with yah it was on and moves onto the build table. Basically ignores my concern of it not being heated through properly. He starts to build the burrito and puts a tiny scoop of rice the same tiny scoop of beans and chicken. I have been here numerous times to know that the scoops are usually double what he is serving me. Mind you he's not using a serving spoon it's like a tablespoon. So I commented giving him an opportunity to fix my order that it seems like a small burrito then my usual that I get here. I get it he could be new however at this point the female that has served me before is listening to our conversation and should have stepped in to fix my order. To top things off before he rolled the skinny burrito I asked for a little sour cream and he squeezes what seem like half the bottle of sour cream on there taking up the same amount as the rest of the ingredients combined. That's so gross, I didn't ask for a sour cream burrito. So I reminded him that I only wanted a little bit, disregarding and ignoring anything I said he continues to roll the burrito. When he rolled up the burrito it was definitely not "Texas size" burrito as advertised and not worth $12.50 I will never come back here and they have lost a customer. Proper training and consistent amount of ingredients per order needs to be in place. I end up not purchasing this burrito because I didn't want a sour cream burrito with hardly any other ingredients. So I went down the street to Chronic Tacos and was happy to receive 2 scoops of rice 2 scoops of beans and chicken with free guacamole. I had visited their other location in Waikiki and I am a fan. I was finishing off a couple errands in kaimuki and placed my order on their website. It was very easy to navigate and pay online. I opted for a braised beef bowl. The beef is slow cooked and shredded. I appreciate the all natural grass fed angus beef marinated in a spicy chili blend. If your gonna stuff your face and fill your body with food might as well it be quality food. This place reminds me of chipotle on the mainland, but it's better;) Due to covid they only allowed two people inside the small restaurant. There was only one line which was confusing for the ones that placed pickup(me) and the rest was takeout. Anywho, I finally reached the front and told them of my order. My meal was just sitting there waiting for me wrapped with aluminum foil and placed in a bag. I immediately rushed home. My braised bowl started with rice and I added more. It was a cornucopia of natural toppings! My bowl consisted of Spanish rice, cilantro lime rice, black beans, cheese, lime infused sour cream, shredded lettuce, cilantro, chopped onions, and habanero salsa. It was quite hefty and enough to spread out to dinner or leftovers for the next day. I was in a good coma once I was done. It was delicious, fresh, and somewhat healthy lol. My daughter and I ate there yesterday for dinner and we didn't notice all the flies that were all over the place landing on everything including the food until after we had ordered. I don't know if their AC is broken or not but they keep the door open all the time so that's why so many flies. The don't cover the food either! We were both hungry so we took the risk and ate the food anyway. I ordered the two taco plate - one chicken and one carnitas and both were bland. The beans and rice were bland too. Also, the guy (employee) tried to overcharge me on my plate and he argued with me about it too. I had to point to the menu board and show him that my plate was $12 and not $13 which is what he was trying to charge me. Only a dollar but still...My daughter ordered the nachos with braised beef which was really good. She also ordered the churo's which were very good also. I've been to both locations - this one and the one in Waiks. This is by far the better location. Solid burritos and burrito bowls. Probably the closest thing to Chipotle you'll find on this island. Their carnitas are really good, and if you get a quesadilla with the carnitas... *chefs kiss*. It'll be super messy but delicious. Their quac and chips are also pretty good. And I like that you can get a beer or a margarita, but I don't actually recommend the margaritas. They're just not that great and expensive for what it is. But the food? My sister wanted to try this place so, since I was at City Mill, thought I would stop by and pick something up. The menu is pretty basic. There are about 5 or 6 items with choices of protein. I decided to get the vegetable burrito. I called my sister to ask what she wanted and she asked how large the nachos was. I asked the girl and she said they put chips in the standard bowl so it was not that big. I relayed that to my sister and she said to get it. So I ordered the nachos with chicken. She put in the chips and proceeded to LOAD the bowl with black beans, chicken, mountain of cheese, lettuce, onion, and 2 salsas and sour cream. I almost fainted when I saw the end result. Then my burrito. I ask for Spanish rice and she starts scooping the cilantro rice so I ask her if that is Spanish rice and she is somewhere else. I said it 3 time before she realized she was scooping the wrong rice. She adds a load of black beans, loads of vegetables, mountain of lettuce, 2 salsas which I repeated again 3 times. She ran out of sour cream, turned around and got a container out of the fridge behind her, took off the foil and shook it 3 times as the sour cream poured over the burrito because there was no lid. I looked in horror. She asked if she wanted me to wipe off the sour cream and I said no as that is gross. She asked me again doing a hand gesture that she can scoop it off. I said no, just leave it. The burrito was so huge she could barely wrap it. I took these humongous items home and weighed them. The burrito weighed 1.3 pounds. The nachos weighed 1.6 pounds. i was so horrified I forgot to take photos!! I go back and forth to Texas but this is not Texas size as it was written on the menu. More importantly, the flavors were so bland that we had to pour so much salsa on top in order to eat a mere 1/4 of each meal. Volume does not always equal good. Better flavor, better presentation, better service would be my desire. Very disappointed, to say the least. read more

I tried OMG's new location two times. The parking lot is very tiny. Since they moved to their new location, their service and quality have really gone down. I'm so disappointed. They have a high counter with a clear plastic shield between the customer and the food. I had to yell so they could hear my order, and vice versa. I had to keep yelling each item in the order line, then saying "what?!" when they asked me a question. I'm not sure if it was because I'm short, the plastic shield was too thick, or the ambiance was so loud. Either way, the person didn't speak louder when it was clear that I couldn't hear her. The first time I tried a beef burrito. The second time I tried the chicken nachos. The burrito was okay, nothing to rave about. The nachos were awful. The chips were stale and became soggy very quickly. And in case any of you were wondering, I did eat it at the restaurant. The food is definitely overpriced for what you get and you have to pay extra for guacamole. 2 stars. I might go again only out of desperation. read more

This is basically a local version of a chipotle. Tried the carne asada fries which you do get a lot of food for $14. But there wasn't a lot of meat, it was mostly veggies and sauce. This is a decent Mexican place. I got a burrito and fries. They make your burrito in a Chipotle sort of style - you can choose all the ingredients that goes into the burrito. I thought the burrito was okay, but it satisfies the Mexican food craving. The fries were good, I'd get it again, but when I ordered it I had to wait a couple minutes for it to cook. Service was quick and friendly. There's a small parking lot outside that's a bit tough to find parking. They have some tables inside if dining in. It is located across City Mill on Waialae right next to Vons chicken and Ripple of Smiles. I wanted to try two things. The salsa and chips and the burrito. The tomatillo salsa had a lot of flavor but too runny for my liking. It was hard to eat with the chips. May try another one next time. It would be perfect to put over a burrito to make a wet burrito plate. The burrito mmmmm. There's just something about a burrito assembly line. It was perfectly balanced. My hubby got beef, cilantro rice, refried beans, cheese, onions. It was heavy and tasty. The tortilla was amazingly soft. The Margarita to go, was nice.
