Not sure if this is a restaurant or a bar. Taking things to the limit in terms of money/quantity trade off via the post pandemic restaurant scene, you are immediately greeted by a hostess who gives you a menu mostly filled with $15 cocktails and pretend expensive (same stuff you find at BevMo) wine list with truly limited selections. There are foods on the menu but nothing you'd call dinner or lunch, but more like Tapas or appetizers. Never mind that prices are essentially the same as full portion dinner menu. Go here is if you simply want to get drunk with mediocre wine and appetizers. Definitely don't go here for a full fine dining experience. read more

Best sangria you can drink in the area ... I can compare their sangria to Spain and that's rare in LA . Btw their service is always great , love going here for happy hour and they don't kick you out like other places as soon as you're done eating . Located right across from the Galleria, this small spot boasts a tapas like vibe with a cozy indoor balcony upstairs with sofas and plenty of privacy. We ordered an assortment of Charcuterie boards, pizza, and quesadillas which were all very satisfying. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and helpful when it came to wine pairing and other types of drinks. Food came out hot and quickly which was appreciated. They even brought out a piece of chocolate cake in honor of my birthday. I believe it was flourless chocolate cake. Atmosphere, décor, ambience - There was a nice front outdoor patio with umbrellas and heating lamps if necessary. Inside, it was a bit narrow and tight with several tables and chairs along with stools at the bar. There was a slightly roomier upstairs lounge area with couches, chairs, tables, and paintings hung on the walls, where live entertainment occurred on a nightly basis. Generally, the walls were a dark color, and there was plenty of both electric and natural lighting. I didn't recall any TVs nor background music. However, the street traffic can be annoying as you're very close to the Americana on Brand. A real chill place. Attire - It was totally casual so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. Overall, Left Coast Wine Bar & Gallery was a nice wine option in Glendale as there were so few of them. They had a decent selection of wines and beers with comparable prices. I realize its been a while since I updated my review and I think its TIME! Oak & Vine is truly my friends and my favorite place to meet, drink and chat - for hours. Im talking FOUR hours + of wine, amazing appetizers, and fabulous staff. ALEX is byfar the best employee ever. he always remembers what my favorite wines are keeps it pouring until its time to roll home. CHEF is fabulous and super sweet- always greets me when shes not totally swamped. She single handedly cooks everything for the restuarant and quality of the food is fantastic. TRY THE OLIVES, MADZUN w/ Chips,& the Cheese selection The Owners are always there and so hospitable and welcoming. I LOVE LOVE their energy. Visited 6/2/2016 Round two for Happy Hour. My brother recommend this place, so I knew it had to be good and it was! The sangria was perfectly sweet just the way I like. The flatbread pizza taste really good and it was fine for the four of us. Loved the outside seats with heat lamps. Service was excellent. Happy Hour prices and choices were good. The restroom did not have any soap, but the guy in charge took care of the problem right away which I appreciate. There were two restrooms. The other restroom was fully stocked and clean. Great place to go where the servers are top notch! Rich the head chef makes some amazing food!! As far as the servers go Maddie Matt Natalie are all amazing they are the reason we keep coming back! The only downside is on the weekends at times they tend to either have a dj or saxophonist and it's gets a bit too loud. What a lovely place to drink, eat, listen to live music and dance! Their upstairs loft has a wood dance floor and space for a combo. The night we were there was a full blown party! We visited The Oak and Vine at about 9:30pm on Friday, May 25th with a party of three and sat at the bar. For two of us (including me) it was my first visit. We went at the recommendation of a third person (who was also with us) and has been here many times. We each had one glass of wine (that was all), as we just came from dinner; however, we had a great experience. Everybody we encountered at this bar/restaurant were wonderful and super friendly. We loved the decor of this place. It was casual, super-chic, but yet a comfortable place to chill on a Friday evening. They had a band playing upstairs which made it a great place to have conversation downstairs, while listening. We asked the bartender for some wine recommendations and she easily provided her favorites. That is what she ordered and loved them! My first experience here was so great that I had to bring my friends the next time I came. So I brought them here to the Oak and Vine and the reason why I'm giving this place 2 stars was the service! I didn't get her name but she was a white lady looked like in her early 30s with dark blondish curly hair. When more of my friends came, we decided to go upstairs for a larger table and she was talking to our waitress saying "Why are there more people going upstairs?!" Like... why are you mad that we're giving you more money by bringing more people? she came upstairs and she asked us if we were all 21+ and for those who weren't 21, they were not allowed upstairs. I was really disappointed and kind of embarrassed that my friends had to experience this because I was raving about this place to them and how amazing the service was and how it was a hidden gem. I guess I can understand where she was coming from. We all looked very young and we had IDs from different states (we're all summer interns at JPL) making it seem like fakes but you shouldn't make that assumption to treat us that way. This is a great place for music and vibes. The music was great. We enjoyed upbeat edm on the patio. Nancy the bar tender was awesome . They're currently short staffed and she took care of us. She knows what's she's doing. I wanted a spicy margarita. She recommended a spicy hibiscus margarita and it was the perfect flavor,not too sweet. The food was meh. My salad was drowning in olive oil but I was informed that the chef took the week off for his birthday. I will have to come back to try the food when the real chef is back. I used to live in Glendale and was visiting with friends when we decided to have some wine. We wanted a nice welcoming place. Oak and Vine was recommended by some friends who still live in Glendale and we trust their taste. We could not have been happier with the recommendation! Charming well designed wine bar with very friendly and courteous service. Our bar mistress took the time to speak with us and recommend some wine based on what we each were looking for. While this time we did not order any food, the menu looked very tempting. It was a very hot day and the only negative is that there is no shade in the patio or inside if you sit at the window. It got VERY hot. However, we were told that the owners are aware and are in the process of installing awnings. I visit LA frequently and will make Oak and Vine a must visit for good wine, friendly service and a welcoming place next time I'm in Glendale. The Good: Friendly helpful service, great wine, beautiful atmosphere The Bad: Can get very hot if it's a hot day. But they are correcting this. Chances I'll be back: Yes!
