I think I have become a new fan of Oak & Vine! First of all they have daily HH from 5-8pm which gives them extra brownie points. Sangria: $7 HH - red sangria that is sweet and not bitter like most reds tend to be (yes, even red sangria an be bitter). Garnished with pretty flowers & fruit was a definite win for me. Grilled stuffed peppers: $6 HH - I expected a couple of peppers on a plate but did not expect the presentation that I actually got for $6. 2 peppers on top of a bed of arugula with a complementing dressing of balsamic vinegar with a port wine reduction, coupled with toasted bread...what!!?!?!??? This place is absolutely great to wine down. There aren't many wine bars around town. I usually come here with my friends after work or on a night out and we love getting their house wine bottles because the selection is always pretty good. That goes to show we pretty much trust this place! The food is delicious and they have great charcuterie boards. It's literally across the Americana, so if you want to go shopping or watch a movie right after you'd be able to. There's a small outdoor area and indoor seating. It's a very intimate setting and I would think you would be able to bring a date over here. Actually, bring a date if you plan on coming here especially in the evening. You'll get to drink wine and right after you can walk to see the lights and the water fountain in the Americana. Talk about romantic right?! When it comes to parking, it can get a little chaotic and the only reason why I would say that is because since it is near the Americana, there's a lot of people that try and park near the place just to go there. There is also a banquet hall right next to it and another one next to it so it can get pretty busy if you plan on going on a Friday or Saturday night. Completely dissatisfied with this place. The yelp reviews did not do it justice. I cant believe I spent $90 for two order of sliders, potatoes, a beer and a cocktail. The sliders were absolutely disgusting and did not seem to have the actual substance of a burger and the cocktail hardly had any alcohol -- not to mention the food is prepared in front of you in a makeshift kitchen. There are few table seats and most of them were reserved. Even the outside seats were reserved as well. About 30 minutes later, all the tables had been taken. + Happy hour goes until 8pm even on a Friday! + Red sangria. It was super fruity and sweet but still had a great red wine taste. They do not add fruit inside though which I was a little sad to see but the taste partly made up for it. + Really liked the prosciutto and basil flat bread +/- Chicken sausage was good but it was a very small portion. Literally paid $10 for 1 sausage cut into 8 pieces. Same goes with the mushroom crostinis - good but if your party is larger than 2 people, you would have to get more than one order. +/- It gets a little loud after 8pm so it's hard to hear what other people are saying but perhaps we just had a loud party sitting right next to us. I would definitely come back for that red sangria if I'm around the area again. Food, maybe not so much. read more

I should have written about this place sooner, but I was being selfish as I have been coming her for many years before it was Oak and Vine. I honestly didn't want anyone to know about my favorite place, but I really feel it's time to share with the world. This is a great place to come to no matter what day of the week. I come here a lot, not so much lately as I'm going through some things, but you won't regret it. They have a great happy hour and their happy hour wines are not the cheap crappy stuff. They now have beer and liquor for those who do not drink wine I've been coming here for over 7 years and to the point where my now husband even proposed to me here. We even had our wedding after party upstairs which is a great place to rent out for a private party. The outside seating is great too. They have live performances and other entertainment on a regular basis. What's nice is you can have great wine, listen to music and still hear your conversation while watching the world series (or whatever is on TV) So there, sharing with you my very favorite special place. I don't know how many times we passed by this place when going to Americana or when parking in Maryland parking structure to go shopping but this place always has caught our eyes and it's been sitting in our "to-do" list forever. Well the time finally came and we managed to come here when we wanted some drinks and small bites. I ordered a cocktail made out of tequila and grapefruit (which I forgot the name) and my husband got a single shot single malt whiskey. My cocktail was OK, nothing special but my husband was surprised on how generous they were on the whiskey. He was totally satisfied with his drink. We also ordered two appetizers to share, the mushroom crostini and smoked salmon crostini. They tasted good but I wish they were served on a more French type of baguette which is more dense and crunchy. We also ordered brownie with added ice cream cause we were craving hot-cold type if dessert. The dessert was also just OK and the fact that we had to pay $3 more for the ice cream made it a pretty expensive dessert ($11). Service here was very well, our waitress checked on us several times but not too many times We enjoyed our experience here and loved the ambiance which is exactly how you'd expect from a wine bar, relaxing but at the same time live with just enough crowd and not too loud music in the background. Drinks are hit and miss sometimes they are strong and sometimes they are just whatever depending on whos making them I guess, but consistency is key. #1. Giving -1 star for nickel and diming us.. example: we get a cheese plate and are charged for a baguette ? are you serious? we just ordered a $30 cheese plate and you charge us $4 for a baguette? thats bs The service provided by the girl with the short hair and the dude behind the bar is always on point, however the same can't be said about everyone else. They have HH from 5 pm to 8 pm which ends much later compared to other restaurants. Parking : the location is near tje Americana but you can get free 90 minute parking off of the covered garage on Maryland across from Homegoods. Or you can park at many street lots, and there is one directly across from the bar. I had the orange margarita and it was great. I will be back! read more

I came here on a Monday evening for happy hour. Their happy hour is from 5-8pm daily! If you're ever in the Glendale Galleria/Americana area, check this place out, you won't regret it. We practically ordered everything. Olives - I'm not the biggest fan, but my sister absolutely loves olives and puts them on anything and everything. To me it just tasted ... salty. Chips & "mazdun" - the chips are kettle chips~ a nice combination of crispy, crunchy and salty. The mazdun is the dip which was sooo creamy(yogurty) and tasty. If I hadn't double dipped, I would've taken it home, bought a bag of ruffles or lays and dipped them into the mazdun to enjoy some more. Roasted potatoes with chipotle sauce - the chipotle aioli sauce was flavorful and creamy. I thought this dish was pretty standard. Solid choice if you're looking for starches to fill up with before trying all the drinks they have to offer. Jalapeño grilled sausage (served with chips) - the sausages were sliced and served with a creamy sauce drizzled on it. The sausage had a nice spicy flavor to it that paired nicely w the wines. Salami & roasted pepper pizza - yum ! I love pizza that is very thin, has no crust and is super crispy. Sangria - they were nice enough to hold off on serving us the sangria until we were close to finishing the wines so the ice wouldn't melt and water down the drinks. We got both the white and red sangria. Both were strong, heavy in the syrup, and one of the best sangrias ive had. You can always tell when you eat a piece of the alcohol-soaked fruit at the end how well the sangria is made. Wine flight - 4 (3oz) pours - I wish I got the name of our server. He honestly surpassed our expectations. We asked for 2 whites and 2 reds, and he asked us a few questions about our preferences then said he would come back w a flight he thinks we would enjoy. He came back w a handwritten list, and proceeded to explain the wines. He was knowledgeable in describing where and how the wines were made, which I appreciated immensely. We were excited to try his picks. Honestly.. his picks were spot on. I enjoyed all of them! Overall the food, drinks, ambiance and service was all superb. The service is top notch, always asking if you need anything or any help. The drinks are superb. I recommend the hibiscus margarita 100%, it is my new favorite!! I was tasked with finding a chill spot to celebrate a good friend's birthday and fortunately, while perusing many Yelp reviews I came across Left Coast Wine Bar and saw a few Yelp friends' reviews that vouched for this place. Like many of you, I've probably passed this venue a dozen times and each time it's gone unnoticed, what a fail on my part! So I'll let you in on this little secret: *Great place to hang out with friends or bring a date *Come in jeans and flip flops or dressed up, either way you will enjoy your time here *Good wine & beer selection The VENUE itself is very intimate and relaxed. There are a few small tables downstairs (inside & out) where you can cozy up for a good few hours but to me personally, the magic is upstairs! It's a somewhat small loft area that can accommodate up to 40 patrons and they have live music here. The space is divided up into 3 large sections with L-shaped couches and a few chairs and small tables. In one corner is where the entertainment is and it's great to sip on your wine while taking in the whole ambiance of it all. The MUSIC. We happened to catch Jason Luckett that night and he was truly amazing. We enjoyed his music thoroughly so much so a few of us purchased his latest CD: The Second Half of the Bet (Hope Again). I will definitely be back to see other musicians, I spied jazz artists on their calendar so will make sure to catch that act. Anyway, SERVICE was good, all the servers were all very accommodating and super friendly. Admittedly, the service is on the slower side but we weren't in a hurry and were engulfed in good company, great wine and pretty good food! Oh, did I mention they also have beer?! If you're like me and have a few friends that prefer beer instead of wine, Left Coast will make a great escape for those malted grain lovers. Jewels, our server, also mentioned they were getting their license to serve hard liquor too. Unfortunately I still was very disappointed that I spent this type of money on this.
