First time visit and will surely return. The atmosphere is very relaxing, yet intimate. Our waitress was very nice and knowledgeable of the menu. We started with the Crab Cake and we cleaned the plate - so good! I had the Salmon Oscar, was not disappointed! My husband got the Ribeye Oscar - medium, said it was one of the best steaks he has had! Came here for my friend birthday and it was definitely worth the drive. We all had the wedge salad and it might be a lil some special in the salad dressing because it was addicting. I asked for the recipe but it's tougher to get than the krabby party recipe anyhow get the salad you won't regret it. For the entire I had the burger, it was good and the truffle fries were delicious. My friend had the Salmon Oscar, I tasted it and it was good. My other friend had the crab cake and it def is a nice size to fill someone up for dinner. I will be back and I will be trying to get the darn dressing in a bottle. Service was nice and the owner/manager, I guess that's who he was not entirely sure, but was nice as well which we love when they make your experience personable and just don't want your money etc. ya know. Travis, the owner, freely circulates overseeing and insuring quality and satisfaction in every detail. Their menu is 100% approachable, but in no way predictable. Want a gourmet Seabass experience? They've got you covered! Craving the best burger you ever wrapped your mouth around? Done! Want to go a bit lighter with a custom salad? You've got your pick. Don't even get me started on the truffle fries, craft cocktails, or impressive wine list... They accept reservations- but you'll need to secure them early-they fill up fast. First time to eat at Oak House tonight, & they didn't disappoint! Tho a bit loud we were seated in the front somewhat out of the traffic flow so not terrible. Loved the cushy chairs and marble topped table. Drinks before dinner came quickly, then we had just enough time to enjoy before the spinach salad appeared. It was very good - just the right balance of sweet (strawberries & brown sugared walnuts) and red wine vinegar. Thankfully no heavy bacon flavor. When the entrees arrived they were delicious. The tomahawk pork chop was impressively sized, perfectly cooked, succulent. The chicken piccata was tender, noodles & sauce delicious, and a generous amount of capers - always a good thing! Dessert choices sounded wonderful but we passed due to "no room"... Totally recommend Oak House!!! Next time I think we'll request a table outside for a little quieter dinner, easier conversation. read more

Five of us gathered for the first time at Oak House on April 13th for my birthday dinner. The atmosphere and decor were refreshing, open, delightful. Every staff member was smiling and engaging! Compliments to the chef for perfection in his execution of every dish. Steak, sea bass, scallops superb! Grits, scalloped potatoes and crab cakes to die for! My family of four went to Oak House on Saturday night March 5th around 7:30 P.M. just for a night out together. Good: Parking and access to restaurant was easy. The hostess was extremely friendly and welcoming. We had reservations and the table was ready within a couple minutes of us walking in. As one would expect, the place was quite crowded for a Saturday evening. However, our server, that was covering several tables, was quite good. He kept our drinks full and made sure we were good a few times. Food was out of this world. We all had something different and each dish was cooked perfectly. The only "complaint" would be the burger was so moist that the bottom bun became soggy before my son could finish it. Owner of the restaurant was at the door as we left and thanked us for coming. Bad: The layout is not conducive to a quiet / relaxing ambience and can be quite intense with the amount of people stacked in a small place. Noise was to the point you couldn't hear the person across from you. It is a wide open restaurant with the bar in the middle and tables located very close around it with zero acoustics/ barriers to help. If it is a busy time, be prepared for that. Cost: We each had an entree (i.e. total of four), wife and I each had one glass of wine, and a total of three deserts. The total cost with a 20% tip was $247. So, this is an expensive restaurant for the area it is located. However, there are several entrees that are reasonably priced that you could end up having a nice dinner for much less. read more
