There didn't seem to be much in the way of merchandise. Plenty of empty shelves. We looked around, selected a model and then went on the hunt for a sales person. None around. Went back to the front & were told to go wait at the register in the back. After 15 minutes gave up. Stopped an employee walking by to ask for help. He went looking for the stock of our selected TV and after awhile we found it ourselves in another part of the store. Such poor customer service, disinterested staff and a deserted, lifeless environment. Would not go back to this location.

Then I hear another worker with glasses walking by laughing about it on his headset while carrying a water bottle to the original worker who helped me . Made me feel uncomfortable, because it's not my fault it was tagged wrong , and I was just asking honestly if it could be honored . Maybe focus more on making sure you don't tag items wrong instead of making fun of customers . I still bought $250 headphones and $159 worth of legos. Maybe I need to start taking my business elsewhere .

Needed service on a vacuum, so I stopped by to check how they did business. Well Joe exceeded my expectations. They were able to replace the electrical cord on my Oreck. All other repair shops quoted 70-90 dollars. Oaklawn charged me 40 dollars and did it other spot. I had them tune up my Shark and left extremely happy. We've been using Harry Miller to fix our washers and dryers at our condo building for decades. It's difficult for me to give a 1-star review because their servicemen are terrific. However, what they're doing now leaves me speechless. Our work orders for machine repairs goes through our management company, Westward360. Westward360 manages many MANY associations and apartment buildings. There's one association that has absolutely NOTHING to do with us, that has an outstanding invoice from February and I believe it's in the low $100's. When our association called for service on a machine, Harry Miller REFUSED to come out because this other association has an outstanding invoice. They said the ONLY way they'd come out is if I (the president of the association) pays upfront. I don't have our association's checkbook onsite and all of our invoices are paid directly from Westward360. They want ME to pay out of MY pocket. I can't even fathom what Harry Miller's thinking is on this. Why in the WORLD would they punish US for something a completely different association is doing? We have absolutely ZERO to do with them. Our bills are paid on time and we have nothing outstanding with them. Now I'm looking for another appliance repair company. This isn't a difficult feat, trust me. I just can't wrap my head around why Harry Miller would rather lose our business than repair our machines and get paid.

There he said that there was nothing wrong with the motors, in fact they were the right motors for that dog dryer. Unlike what Lockport tried telling us. Also, I knew I brought that dryer to Lockport Vacuum in the past for servicing, and the guy told me that I definitely did not, buy in fact I did. The place I took it to now, told me that whomever serviced the dryer in the past, put the wrong carbons in it, that they were too big, and that they just jammed them in there. To top it off they only charged me $108 to fix it, unlike the $348 that Lockport Vacuum wanted. I will not be using Lockport Vacuum for anything ever again.

There was a broken piece and the bolt was missing that kept that together too. One of the bolts was inside the machine, several bolts were missing.Two of which held the middle piece together. The only person who could have removed them was the tech from The Fitness Mechanic. I would avoid this company. Maybe I wouldn't have known for another month or two, but once I started using the machine again, it would have been clear as day that there were more loose parts than when he first came to work on it.

Jim-Co is literally a mom and pop operation. You call a landline phone and chances are you get an answering machine. The message tells you when they expect to have a break in service (it could be a week or so), you leave a message and they get back to you to schedule it. For the price, quality of work, and knowing I am supporting a local business - it is well worth the extra time I have to wait.
