    A bourbon martini
    Kayla M.

This is my third time coming here and will not be my last !! Located at the end of the Avalon Strip. every time I arrive I am welcome by a wonderful hostess and seated at our table... Highly recommend reservations, but they have a wonderful, large sitdown bar and high top tables as well if you are a walk-in. Complementary valet, but please tip them!!' My husband and I start off with delicious pork belly. Delicious crisp and nicely seasoned and arrived to our table well warm, and the BREAD. Oh my goodness we've got two baskets at the table and I believe we took some home. The bread is delicious. Obviously we ate them so fast I didn't even take a picture. For our mains, we both decided on the oak burger and we both added the delicious thick cut meats of bacon and oh my goodness the fries. Our server was absolutely amazing. Even the manager came over to greet us. This place is just incredible. I started off with a bourbon martini that my wonderful server recommended. then I believe I had two of those and for dessert. I finished off the night with a bourbon espresso. This restaurant is a perfectly balance of delicious date night girl night or a nice quiet meal with just your loved ones. We'll definitely return for my fourth time.!!!

This is a great date or business style restaurant. First of all, it is located at the Avalon, which is one of the best locations in the Atl. The interior is very classy and calm. Perfect for having a nice dinner and a conversation. The staff is very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. We got some stellar recommendations from our waiter and a great attitude to go along with it. I was at a business dinner, so we got to try a variety of things. Everything we tried from the bread and garlic shrimp, to the Mac-n-cheese and filet, was delicious. Definitely will be coming back here!

Rarely do I come across high end restaurant that is fully deserving of one star review. Oak Steakhouse is definitively a one star establishment. As I live in Avalon - I was looking forward to trying this place out. I made reservation and showed up with my guests one Friday night. First off - interior looks nice. I like the all wood interior look. Ladies at the front door were not very friendly... I ordered a bottle of wine and server managed to spill it right away. We ordered salads which were fine but were served in soup bowls. After salad the server brought two slices of bread for the three of us. I just didn't get this.... I ordered pork chop and my guests ordered steak and seabass. These orders took a while and then some, with no excuses or explanation provided from the staff. Pork chop was the worst I ever had. It was bland, completely devoid of taste and made raw while I asked for medium. It was completely awful. I sent it back and told them I am not paying for that. Manager came to see me and addressed me as "boss" - i suppose he never went through hospitality training!!! Seabass was drowned in butter, and not very good. Steak was good, but nothing out of the ordinary. All in all - I can very comfortably say Oak Steakhouse is awful. Yes it located in a nice area, but quality of food and service is just not there...paying $150+ per person for location is a bad joke...

What a wonderful evening! This oaky environment made us feel so cozy and comfortable. Candles illuminated the dining room along with dimmed lighting. Romantic... Prior you or dinner I called and made reservations for us and shared that this was a birthday dinner. Took the wife out for her birthday dinner with our kids, we wanted to celebrate early with a few cocktails at the bar. The drinks were incredibly tasty and potent. Not that I am complaining. At all... lol After an hour of romancing and talking the kids show and then our table was ready. We were promptly situated in the middle of the restaurant. Which I don't mind, I like watching the busy line execute dinners for the patrons. We were briefed quickly about the specials and we opted to start with the seafood tower. Shrimp, oysters, and Oysters Rockefeller were included. Everything was great but the Rockefeller was a bit too creamy almost too much mayonnaise and zero anise flavor. Moving on to the entrees, I ordered the house ribeye, son ordered the NY Strip, daughter ordered the prosciutto wrapped scallops, and then we got some sides as well. A plate of roasted butternut squash (4) and a dish of pommes puree. Both were OK. The entrees were great, son said the NY was incredibly juicy as he likes his meat medium I prefer medium rare. The scallops were good I felt it had a touch too much salt since the prosciutto already was a salty item they could pare back on the knee jerk salting of the entrees. Moving on tot the deserts which was a tray of desserts offered for the evening, we got a delightful birthday card signed by the staff and the tray came with four delicious items. Apple pie donut holes, chocolate covered vanilla panna cotta, crème brûlée, and a pair of sugar cookies. All delish and all gone. We were wrapping up with the bill and were wished well by a few servers. When we departed I said good night to the hostesses who were great, they gave me an apple crumb cake to take home that was next to the stand, they were all portioned out wrapped and ready to be taken home. The next morning it went great with my coffee.

We had a fantastic dinner at Oak Steakhouse. Everything we ordered was excellent. The filet with horseradish was tender and perfectly cooked, and the French onion soup had great depth without feeling heavy. The prime NY strip with caramelized shallot was another standout. The sides were just as strong. The beef tallow frites were crisp, the creamed corn was rich and comforting, and the mushrooms were fantastic. The mac and cheese was good, but if we had to choose between the sides we ordered, it's the one we could have skipped. We shared a bottle of Charles Krug that was recommended by our server and paired well with the meal. The ambiance added to the experience. The dining room is dimly lit, with warm stained wood throughout and an open‑kitchen layout. Even with some of the tables set fairly close together, it never felt cramped or intrusive. Our server, David, made the night even better. He was attentive without hovering and offered thoughtful recommendations that ended up being spot‑on. We finished with the maple bourbon crème brûlée and an espresso martini, both of which were excellent. Truly enjoyed the entire experience and would happily return.

I plan to come back 100%. I wish I could remember our servers name but he was top of the line. Even brought extra sides for us to share. Food was great as well and I ate our leftovers for the next two days. The Brussel sprouts were amazing! And I hate Brussels. Would love to add that the ambiance is beautiful inside and very welcoming.

Food was incredible especially the NY strip steak! The champagne mocktail was delicious too!! The food came out quickly and the server was excellent even gifting us Happy New Years Hats!!! The ambiance was incredibly very romantic feeling and a dark comforting vibe to it with incredible and stylish lighting everywhere!

A Perfect Anniversary Experience at Oak Steakhouse - Alpharetta My spouse and I visited Oak Steakhouse in Alpharetta to celebrate our anniversary, and our entire experience exceeded every expectation. From the moment we walked in, the staff and management made us feel genuinely welcomed and celebrated. It was our very first time dining here, and they made it absolutely unforgettable. Our waiter, Moe, was truly exceptional. He was incredibly attentive without ever making us feel rushed and took the time to walk us through the menu, explaining the different options with care and enthusiasm. His recommendations were spot-on, and he consistently checked in to ensure our food was prepared to the highest quality. Moe went above and beyond in every way possible, and his warmth and professionalism made our evening that much more special. One of the most thoughtful touches came from the entire restaurant team: they surprised us with a beautifully signed "Happy Anniversary" card filled with kind notes and warm wishes from multiple staff members. It added such a meaningful, personal touch to our celebration. Between the delicious food, the elevated ambiance, and the outstanding service from Moe and the entire staff, our anniversary dinner at Oak Steakhouse was nothing short of perfect. We left feeling appreciated, well taken care of, and excited for our next visit. We cannot wait to return again.

Top tier food! You must come here! The chef cooked our steaks to our desired perfect temperature meticulously! The service was amazing. SAM was a wonderful server who was so patient, fast, and efficient! The ambiance was very nice but not stuffy. I dressed down my outfit and did not feel out of place. The only issue I had is with the tables so close to the serving window. I was bumped 4 different times. Other than seating, this place is a must!

Service was great and our steak was soooo good especially with the garlic! It was very dark and fancy inside

What a meal!! I mean we had to sell off a kidney to pay for it but it was worth it! We came for a business meeting and sat down to perfection. I have been here before and had a great meal but this time it was truly exceptional! This venue is located in the Avalon and it is a true steakhouse... dark wood inside, dimly lit interior, huge over the top bar, unbelievable wait staff, and world class steaks. However on this night the special was a lobster tail mixed with crab meat and drizzled in a lemon sauce. I mean how could you pass that up?!? I didn't and it was "OHHHHH MY GODDIE OUT OF THIS WORLD TOOOOO HOTTIE!!" What a mid blowing combination. Just maybe one of my best meals ever! Add in the jalapeño honey soaked corn bread, the mac'n cheese, loaded potatoes and Brussels and there really was just no other way to describe it but PERFECTION. Artistry in flavors! A true life changing food experience. I still dream about this meal! Now it was not cheap... in fact I'm pretty sure we all suffered s shears heart attack when the bill came.. but again... this was worth every penny for this once in a life time food experience!

Kenneth and the entire oak staff were truly amazing! From beginning to the end. Staff signed a birthday card for my partner. Bottle of wine was already on ice at the table. Everything was flawless

The ambiance inside of here was so warm and romantic. The server we had was absolutely incredible explained the menu to us so smoothly and gave us a wonderful 2 years anniversary with champagne and cake. We had got bolognese and filet migon steak was juicy however everything was a bit salty but still delicious

The chili was spicy. - French Onion Soup ($15): Just as good as we remembered it from last time. - Tasting for Two ($209): The filet and spinalis were delicious. The first time we went to Bask, the wagyu was exceptional. This time, it was the fattier part of the cut and sadly didn't live up to the hype. Disappointed. - Scallops ($50): Absolutely delicious. The arroz verde cremosa was soo good. Decent portion too. - Seafood Mac & Cheese ($20): Came with lobster and shrimp. Suuuuper good, cheesy, and creamy. - Broiled Asparagus ($15): Seriously amazing. We also ordered a bottle of Cabernet sauvignon, which was good. We ordered the mussels appetizer, which was very tasty and served with French fries, also tasty. I ordered the Baratta which came with sourdough bread. The Baratta was good, but there was about a half cup of chopped parsley on the plate, which was very odd. It was like a parsley salad, which is inedible. Parsley should be used as a garnish or a sprinkle as a flavoring, not as a main component like a salad. As a self-described foodie, I'm always searching for restaurants that offer creative, thoughtfully prepared dishes with plenty of variety. Foundation exceeded every expectation. I ordered every dish the staff recommended, and each one was outstanding. Julio provided attentive, knowledgeable service, and you can tell Chef Mel and his wife, Sandy, have poured their hearts into every aspect of the dining experience. Their attention to detail is remarkable--they genuinely care that every bite is exactly as it should be, and it shows. We started with the Crisp Spanish Octopus and the mushroom ravioli. Julio also suggested adding an order of bread to soak up the incredible sauces, and I'm so glad he did--not a drop was left on the plate. For my entrée, I chose the scallops, and they were cooked perfectly. I even skipped most of the accompanying beans to save room for dessert, which turned out to be one of the best decisions of the night. The blueberry olive cake with blueberry sorbet was phenomenal and the perfect ending to an unforgettable meal. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and refreshingly free of distractions, allowing the food and conversation to take center stage. If you're looking for a memorable dining experience with incredible food, outstanding hospitality, and an environment where every detail matters, Foundation Eatery is a must-visit. I can't wait to come back. PS. I can't believe they have a burger on the menu. I'd try that based on everything else!

The vibe here was buzzing on a Friday evening which seemed promising. We opted to sit at the bar which I do NOT recommend if you plan on eating. It is extremely tight seating and the bartenders aren't not trained to serve food or have menu knowledge. The lack of the kitchen staff culinary skills became evident when looking at the menu with many seafood/pasta items being served with one sauce- a goopy cornstarch'ish lemon butter sauce. We wanted to try the scampi appetizer with their house made pasta - sans dairy which meant no lemon butter sauce. That seemed to throw a wrench and there was much back and forth between the BT to the kitchen explaining what that meant aka do not cook the food with butter use olive oil- not so complicated, right? 30 minutes later - despite the kitchen staff not being busy- reminder, we are sitting at the bar and watch the cooks looking at their cellphones instead of working... The small portion of a couple shrimp and scallops arrive. They were panned seared- highly seasoned but tasty. Pasta arrived dry ? Huh? Who serves dry pasta- ugh? I asked for olive oil again which never appeared despite a manager hearing the request. So, moving along, we decided to try the calamari. It came out much faster but the portion was enough for 8-10 people. BT- oh, I forgot to tell you it is such a large portion... Maybe offer a half portion? It was okay- nothing amazing except the quantity. So disappointed- we had high hopes that the vibe matched the food quality.
