My 1999 Toyota Camry XLE v6 with 84k miles was having oil leaks through the Valve Cover Gaskets so I decided to get that fix and also have my Timing Belt and Water Pump replaced. I've done Alternator and Starter swaps on my own before from watching YouTube video tutorials but this next project was going to be too big for me to handle because I'm not a mechanic. These guys have some true talent and are always courteous, no standing around in this shop they are always working. This shop has saved me thousands of dollars, they always give me fair prices, and are very honest about what the car really needs. I have referred over 20 people to OSAC and all have said that it is the only shop they will ever go to. This guy is an absolute idiot. I took my car in with electrical problems, exhaust issues and needing my shocks replaced. He had no problem replacing the shocks and that turned out great. My problem lies with his lack of knowledge about cars. I had 2 bad CO2 sensors and a bad catalytic converter causing my car to run so bad it couldn't go faster than 12 mph. He said there was nothing wrong with the exhaust and that it should pass DEQ with flying colors. I chose not to bring my car back to him because HE DOESN'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT CARS PAST WHAT HE CAN SEE WITH HIS EYES. A 5 YEAR OLD COULD DONE A BETTER JOB. Good luck.... read more

Today I took my car that was having issues with the headlights not working to them. I was greeted by Bob the mechanic, I showed him the old light bulbs that I have replaced that was still good, I left the the car there for 1 hr and they call and tell me to come back at my convenience. When I showed up, Bob again greeted me and told me that all he did was removed the new bulbs and replaced with the old one I took out. We both were astound that it was simple as that. Bob had me turn the car on to verified that all lights were working and he not crazy..... anyway, I really appreciated the shop honesty and treated me with respect and not take advantage of me being a women and had previous negative shop experience. I went there because of the excellent reviews on Yelp and I'm so glad I did. I walked away with paying $10 for his diagnostic time. Thank you from the bottom of my heart I found a place that is genuine and will recommend my friends/family who needs car repair.. read more

I was referred to this shop for 135 K tune up by someone who owns a business next door. $79 bucks covered an oil change and a later-turned-out-to-be-too-good-to-true "check up" report. The car still drove the same, slow to accelerate and constant clunking noise on the front right side. Two months later, the service engine soon light went on and I decided to give another auto shop a shot. It turned out that the speed sensor was out and needed to be replaced. While there, I asked to have one more 135K check up. After a day of work, the report came back with many items in the red zone (if you know the green, yellow and red codes on the report sheet): battery leaking and its terminal corroded, struts broken, problematic radiator hose, brake fluid needs flushed etc. I was extremely upset with the Oak Street because why they had not found out these problems in the first place. Now I am facing a bill close to $1700 if I decide to have all red items fix. I am not implying that the condition of my car would be much different in between but a report that did not reflect what a true 135K check up should be is disappointing. (Within two months, the condition of my car should not have varied too much because I drive on average 10 miles the most a day.) I did check out Yelp before I went to see Chris and his father, the owner of the shop. So many 5-star reviews did not seem to match my experience with them. I am not going back. read more
