I've been coming here for almost two years because I genuinely love their baklava--it's consistently great and the main reason I keep coming back. Recently, my boyfriend stopped in to pick up a few things for me, including the Dubai chocolate bar for around $20. While he was there, he waited close to 10 minutes in an empty bakery because the person who appeared to be the manager was "too busy" to help him, only to then assist someone who came in after him first. I was excited to try the chocolate bar, but it was extremely disappointing. For that price, I expected a substantial filling and higher-quality chocolate. Instead, the filling was minimal to the point of being surprising, and the chocolate itself didn't taste better than Hershey's or a generic cheap brand. At $20, this feels very misleading for what you're actually getting, especially paired with the level of service. I don't mind paying more for quality, but this didn't reflect that at all. If we come back is still to be determined.

It's the dishonesty in the price for me. So I actually came here twice. The first time to try the passion smoothie which was v sour and not my cup of tea. Second time I went yesterday and tried the Malibu smoothie. This was good and refreshing however, as she was making the smoothie I looked up and saw $11.95. I didn't add anything on so the price should be that. However, I was charged $12.95 making the total out to be $14. $14 for a smoothie this size is absurd. The place is cute and super small. No seats inside and not wheelchair accessible. I'd say just go to Angie's a block away for grab and go $8 juice or smoothie instead.

As the (current) duke of Oasis Cafe, of course, I had to make a review. The desserts here are phenomenal, sweet and they also look appetizing! I've tried the Snickers (gotta be a fav), Moka, minimal ferrero, Nutella truffles and chocolate ganache cake - all do not disappoint, can't go wrong with any of these. Service was fast and were very helpful when asking questions about the desserts. Space is small but very well decorated and the desserts are right where you can see them. I've only had the organic peanut butter latte that was delicious, but can't wait to try their other drinks as well!

Stopped in for dessert and ended up having one of those "why is this so good" moments. The coconut pastries were absolutely delicious, soft and airy with that clean coconut flavor that doesn't taste fake or overly sweet. The pistachio tiramisu was the other standout. Deep pistachio flavor, creamy texture, and the sweetness is actually controlled, so it feels indulgent without being a sugar bomb. Also: these pastries look like art. Like, museum gift shop art. I genuinely paused before eating because it didn't seem real, the kind of perfect that makes you wonder if it's just for display. It's not. It's very real, and it tastes even better than it looks. The selection is huge, which is both great and mildly inconvenient if you're trying to pretend you have restraint. You could come back multiple times and still not get through everything. I'm planning to do exactly that. If you care about pastry that's both beautiful and actually delicious (not just pretty), this place is a must.

Really decadent and beautiful desserts (perhaps a touch tooo sweet for me on a couple) + huge assortment of cakes, cookies, tons of entremets. Lots of Greek desserts specifically, full lunch menu options too. So much variety, it was tough to choose. Their site has a photo for every item which I loooove-- so helpful/appreciated. The only letdown was the banana pudding but that may be because 1 place in the city has my heart there!

I stumbled upon this little gem of a cafe on a Saturday afternoon while searching for dessert. The space is small but cozy, with a couple of tables tucked away if you want to eat in. I ordered the baklava cheesecake, and my husband got the viral mango dessert. Both were great! The mango dessert was delicious and that Biscoff-like cookie crust underneath was the absolute pièce de résistance! I really enjoyed my baklava cheesecake too, though I would have loved one more layer of flaky baklava for extra texture. Highly recommend stopping by for a sweet fix!

I love oasis and all of their locations. This one in particular is convenient for me. The drinks are always made fast. I've had a couple issues with incorrect orders before but they get fixed no problem. I've also had issues with some questionable customer service sometimes depending on the time I go. Certain shift workers don't bother to say hi or acknowledge ur presence, mostly the night time ones. I think sometimes they're so caught up in their own convos they miss out on the opportunity to build connections with locals and regular customers. My biggest issue here is the fly problem. It's an infestation. While I'm choosing a pastry I'm swatting flies away. There's an opening to the pastries on top of the display, they have flies land on them always. That's disgusting and a huge health hazard. I actually did talk to someone about this my last time there. It's a big turn off. Excuses were giving ab having traps out and it not working. Upper Managment needs to help out their workers and bring in pest control. Cashiers and bakery workers are not exterminators. I added a pic with the date and time that I last went with the flies on the open loaf. Please fix this as someone who loves the sweets and mortadella sandwiches!!! This is unacceptable

Decadent pastries, just how I like them. The banoffee and chocolate fudge cake were great, with the chocolate cake especially moist. The pistachio cake was also great, but more of a light "sponge cake" type dessert, which I don't prefer in general. The banoffee and pistachio cake had great presentation. Just a warning: they were all extremely sweet, almost too sweet for me but just under the edge. Limited seating but no one there when we went at 9 PM on a Saturday. I like that they're open late, so it's a good stop for dessert after dinner.

Pleasantly surprised at how good the desserts here were. Banoffee is my favorite so far, banana taste isn't strong, this is rich dessert so if you're not into rich desserts skip, not overly sweet either. 10/10! Lemon-Yuzu tart was also good. They suggested I try the strawberry white tea, so good and refreshing, addictive. Their sausage egg and English muffin was huge for price, taste was ok, decent, egg was dry, not my favorite. The customer service varies for sure. Lukewarm, overall I'll come back.

Really impressed with the decadent pastry variety. I'll have to come back and try more. The worker who assisted me was very personable and friendly as well. The Banoffee is a thick, fudge-like texture balanced with a cookie base. Very light banana flavoring. Gorgeous presentation.

Freddo Cappuccino and honey oat latte.... Definitely a YES here. The cream top for the espresso (Freddo) is perfect. I opted for no sugar and its perfection. The honey oat latte is creamy and not too milky. Good work over there. Happy with the service and the speed. This was take out so I can't comment on the ambiance.

The Lemon Poppy Seed Pound Cake, the Almond Cake Loaf are sooooo delicious, soft and moist. Mouthwatering. The Biscoff Cheesecake Truffles are really good too!!! Lastly, the Lemon-Yuzu Tart is Devine. I've had most of their desserts and you seriously can't go wrong. If I don't go to magnolia bakery i usually come here! Highly recommended! read more

Been in NYC 5 days and stopped in at alot of businesses over the last few days. Late on this July 4th evening the employees at this bakery were far and away the nicest people we have encountered in New York city. Always walked pass by this place but I decided to give it a try last week and I was pleasantly surprised at how good their cakes were! It's a small shop but they have a large selection of cakes and cookies along with coffee and other drinks. I got their baklava cheesecake and mango cake and they are both bomb! Love this little late night coffee shop. I love walking my little pug down to this shop. Sweets look amazing - I'm on a diet so no can taste. Cappuccino is just amazing and one of the best in the city. Love the pleasant and sweet staff. Open til 1 AM is so convenient as well. read more

Great service here! Seriously what keeps me coming back... but also the damn cold brew coffee. I'm from San Francisco and I'm really picky. A lot of whatever coffee I've come across living here for two years. This place though. Please never change coffee! I think it's Guatemalan beans. But so good. The baked goods are made right. The pastries are never stale. I go to Amy's but it's hit or miss Sullivans is good but selection is limited. Run don't walk. If you're visiting nyc this is underrated spot you definitely want to visit, Get the banana cream pie. read more

Amazing late night dessert spot. We got a piece of carrot cake delivered to our hotel. The carrot cake was perfectly moist, spiced and not too sweet. The cream cheese frosting was copiously applied to the inside and top of the cake. We also got several random small items. Nothing dissapointed! I've visited this cafe/bakery close to a year ago when they just opened this location on 9th Ave . I ordered pickup today . Upon arrival it was very calm, quiet and not to many people inside, just as I remembered it to be before. You get a very zen feel walking in. Customer service was a bit dry, not to friendly and that is why I rated them 4 stars. No greeting upon arrival just stares lol. Any who I ordered a strawberry cheesecake slice , a Nutella cheesecake slice and a Oreo mouse slice. They also sell pies, cake slices and other sweet treats and drinks . The slices were $6.95 and I had a coupon for a free slice, so I only paid for 2 out of the 3 slices (great deal btw). My mom and husband said they enjoyed their slices a lot. I also enjoyed my Nutella slice. It was very moist and flavorful. I would definitely visit again as this establishment is on the top of my list for best cheesecakes in NYC they just need to work on the customer service aspect of it all and they would be good to go. read more

Great spot in Hell's Kitchen for late night dessert cravings and equally good coffee. We've had the passion fruit mousse cake and carrot cake. Both were decent. Open late for the munchies with a couple of tables and 5 chairs in the back. Could definitely use a more inviting sitting area. read more

Ordered baklava and paid for it. When we opened the bag, we realized they gave us some stale cookies. No baklava anywhere. The couple we were with ordered cheesecake, and came away with nothing in their bag at all. Employees seem stoned beyond belief. read more

Cute little cafe with a great selection of cakes and pastries! I loved the peach tres leches and toffee caramel crunch cake. Got the peach refresher too that was pretty good. Was thrown off a bit by the mayo(?) on the ham and cheese croissant as it was not in the description of the item and isn't something I typically expect on one from a bakery/cafe. It was a bit underwhelming as well, it's the only reason for four stars instead of five. I would probably skip any of the "food" next time and just do the desserts. Also use the app! I live in the area and used to frequent Juniors for my cheesecake fix, but I recently tried the dulce de leche cheesecake from Oasis and this is definitely going to be my new go-to spot! It was super rich and creamy but not too sweet. The workers were also really friendly. I can't wait to try all their other desserts! read more

This place just opened near me and I happened to check it out while walking through the neighborhood. The desserts here look beautiful and are very affordable. I got the Fruit Napoleon and Fruit tart and both were delicious and large. I haven't tried the drinks here yet, but I will definitely come back and get a coffee or tea sometime! read more

Cute neighborhood dessert place. Perfect if you're looking for late night sweets and don't want to get it from a deli or Whole Foods. I live in Hells Kitchen and my options are Amy's Bread, random deli, Juniors Cheesecake, and Mia's, and Oasis Cafe beats all in terms of taste, variety, and business hours. I had their Nutella cake, mango cake, and tiramisu cheesecake and they're all so delicious. The cafe has a couple tables there, but I see this more as a take out place. Hope this is here to stay! read more

My daughter takes dance in the neighborhood every Saturday, and I stumbled upon here one day in a search for a bottle of water. I walked out with a bottle of water, a strawberry tres leches cake, crème brûlée, and caramel cake. Plus a bag of almond cookies. The desserts are delicious, but even beyond that, the people who work here are WONDERFUL. They are so kind to my 4 year old, and gave her a few surprise rainbow cookies last weekend. It's now become our regular Saturday spot, and I've taken to getting extra treats to bring to friends as well! Last weekend we grabbed two different tres leches, an Oreo mousse cake, a caramel cake and more! My daughter and her friends had an epic tea party and the moms were fed as well! read more

I'm so glad we've gotten a branch in Hell's Kitchen, I've had oasis cafe "saved" for so long but never made it out to their other location. Super affordable and they've great seasonal specials, the classics, and fun Greek twists on all the classics! It's honestly so hard to not want to walk away with half the store read more

The place was nice and cakes were stacked neatly. What was surprising to me is that they don't have any cookies laid in the front display. It's all placed in the back almost hidden. I was deeply disappointed with their cookie selection. It was deeply surprising that they don't sell the butter cookies that had jam in the middle and dipped with chocolate on one side with sprinkles. I did ask the clerk and even showed him a pic of what I was looking for and he said they never sold them. They only had the linzer cookies and they didn't look so good. They also did not have the lobster tail. They did have the sfogliatelle which they also called a lobster tail. I thought they were not the same? Some bakeries sell both and they are definitely not the same. I did end up buying one of their sfogliatelle with cream and some rugelachs. The sfogliatelle was good but the rugelachs tasted slightly underbaked. It did taste fresh though unlike many I've had in other bakeries. However, for $28 per pound, I wouldn't get it again. For those not having lobster tail and not having the Italian cookies, I will have to give Veniero's a low rating. I never thought an Italian bakery would not carry staples. Very disappointed. I need to find another Italian bakery now.
