Worst experience I have had at a restaurant. Staff was rude upon entering. Yelling across the very small establishment. Finally got sat in a booth with very uncomfortable seats. There was a metal rod sticking where the sun doesn't shine. Not to mention rips and tape on every surface. Waited 10-15 minutes at the booth and no service. No one even acknowledged us. Always has great food and servers who greet you with a smile. On a weekend mornings there may be a wait, but believe me it's worth it. Plus the service is so fast it won't be a long wait at all. Not good at all! Gave my mom, my daughter, and me the craps! They served my daughter, "Turkey bacon" that actually looked like dog treats that I could of fed the dog across the room. They made me pay for a plate I didn't want. Luckily I made it useful and gave it to a homeless person. Some service was sweet, they others slight attitude. No acceptable. Won't be returning. The food was ok not too shabby. My concerns was that when my spouse, and i came into the restaurant to have some breakfast. we experienced something very odd. We sat down and waited a little before someone stated, your waiter will be with u shortly. There was a rather tall older lady that had served all the tables around us. she served a table that had sat down well after us and every table after that. When the waiter came he was a African American male, he took our order and we never saw him again. He never took any orders from any other tables. she waited for the table in front of us behind us and to the side of us. we were the on African Americans in the restaurant dining. Oasis is not a bad spot if you're looking for diner style food in a mom and pop shop. The service is really what makes this place. The food is better than ihop, but not anything to write home about. The waitresses are attentive and have an attitude of servitude. One weird thing, they don't accept cards.... We wanted to like the place, it has that funky vibe--a real diner, small and cozy inside, cute menu, packed to the gills. But the food. OMG, it was bad. I got the Mexican omelette. Tasteless. Eggs, no flavor. Few green chiles. Just bad all the way around. Hash browns, tasteless. Biscuits were ok but not great. Wife got Grande breakfast. Eggs (scrambled) were way overcooked and dry. Hamburger steak was nasty and basically inedible. How anyone could rate this place highly is beyond me, unless we hit on a bad day and ordered incorrectly. Don't get me wrong...we had a solid breakfast/lunch here on Saturday. I do think that the name is somewhat of an oxymoron...it is a diner layout decorated with chili pepper kitsch everywhere. I would expect palm trees and sunsets, but no, chili peppers. I was a little bummed that all the Saturday specials were breakfast-centric, so I had the club with a side of tortilla soup.
