I hadn't been here since covid, so one rainy night when I was craving some popcorn chicken I came here with a friend. It was so weird to see the place empty, with tables and chairs stacked up since dining in was not allowed. But anyway, we ordered fried tofu and popcorn chicken with fries. I'm sure it would have tasted better if we ate right there when it was hot and crispy, but we waited until after we took it home. Tofu was firm, kind of like agendashi tofu, even the sauce tasted like a mix of dashi and tsuyu. The chicken was in very small pieces, and I preferred them to be larger and juicier. But overall it satisfied my cravings for that day, and the price is quite reasonable. I do wish that they fry the chicken with some basil for extra flavor. read more

This is my go-to bubble tea spot whenever I'm in the China Town area. They're very quick and efficient. And it's nice that they're open late for those nights out in Seattle with friends or special events. There's only street parking so that can be a headache because it does get very busy around this area. But it doesn't usually take too long for me to find a decent spot somehow. When you come in, it's pretty straightforward how their system works. Walk in, line up in front of the register, order and take your number, take a seat or stand in the open spaces, and grab your order when they call out your number. During busy times, just make sure to keep your ears open because it can be difficult to hear them call out order numbers. But it's a pretty good atmosphere to hang out with a group of friends for some bubble tea. The drinks are always pretty refreshing and hits the spot for me. I especially love their lychee slush (blended with real lychee pieces) and honeydew snow (pairs great with tapioca and lychee jelly). Another favorite is their popcorn chicken. It's the perfect snack, and it's made freshly hot and crisp. I love dipping it in their honey mustard sauce. As for the service, it seems very inconsistent. Some are friendly and helpful while others come off rude and don't seem like they care. That's never been a big issue for me though. Last night I went to Oasis with some friends. The main selling point at Oasis is their bubble tea which is absolutely refreshing & good quality. However, there may be times where you want to get a quick snack. Which is what happened last night when I bought some bubble tea. I decided to snack on their Spicy Popcorn Chicken Combo With Seasoned Fries. Once when I went to the counter to pick up my order, I was ready to indulge into the food. The sauce I chose to go with was Honey Mustard. The first thing I went for was the Seasoned Fries. Dipping it into the sauce & taking a bite, I felt it was crunchy to an acceptable extent. However, I did not taste any "seasonings." Nonetheless it is still a passable fry. Last, was the Spicy Popcorn Chicken. Sticking the skewers into the chicken & dipping it into the sauce, I could tell to not expect anything extraordinary. They need to update their hours on their doors and flyers. If they close at midnight they need to specify that. They use to close at 2 am. Instead of having Apple users thinking they're open when they're not. I came by at 2 am thinking I was going to get something to drink, because the stores were closed and I had nothing in my house, but they were closed. We always get a regular and a spicy, both are good but I personally prefer the regular because you can really taste the crispy chicken flavor. Their popcorn chicken is different than American style popcorn chicken and is similar to Taiwanese popcorn chicken with the spices. The popcorn chicken comes in a paper bag with sticks you can use to eat the chicken. You also get a choice of two sauces (they have BBQ, honey mustard, ranch, ketchup, sweet and sour) The popcorn chicken is always consistently good, juicy, crispy and flavorful. We've been to the fancy new ones, tried random restaurants that serve the drinks, but we all agree that Oasis is still our favorite. Being from down south. I know what good fried food tastes like. This is not it. The best part of what I ordered was the mango and honeydew melon shaved ice drink and the mint milk tea. Both literally are what gave this place any stars at all. Fried shrimp were bland, spicey fried chicken bites had 0 spice and were over fried.
